I am in this case studying and taking courses, lessons, and laboratories with ArcSoft since I am on a learning path to be able to handle pre-sales with ArcSoft. ArcSoft can be used in different scenarios. For example, there exists a specific certification for financial companies. It's possible to apply two ArcSoft solutions with replication with different sites and of course to configure it for disaster recovery, too.
The solution is used as an on-premises infrastructure backup solution, so we can take the backups of the servers, storage servers, file servers and endpoints, and the virtualization layer.
I use the solution for disaster recovery and continuous availability. For example, if my DC goes down, I can spin up VMs almost instantaneously on my DR site. Plus, I have an Arcserve High Availability or Arcserve Continuous Availability license that helps me to keep a real-time in-sync copy of my SQL database on which my CRM tool runs. So, I can maintain a highly available SQL DB, one on-premises and one in the cloud.

We have many servers at our branch head office that are on our premises. A few of those servers and many other user systems are completely being backed up by Arcserve UDP. Approximately 75% of the backups are handled by Arcserve UDP.

We are a solution provider company, and I work with vendors to find products for my customers. This is one of the solutions that we provide and have customers working with. This solution is used to perform backups of servers, including information from the cloud. We have experience with the on-premises and hybrid-cloud deployment models, including Microsoft Azure cloud.
We were using the hybrid model of this solution but now we're using the on-prem model. We switched to on-prem mainly because of the costs and that it's reachable when something happens. We use this solution to backup the virtual server.

My primary use case for this solution is for backup and restoring. We use it for our VMware solutions and also our physical machines. It's good software that is helping us with our restoring.
Arcserve UDP is a comprehensive solution that empowers even a one-person IT department to protect virtual and physical environments with a high degree of simplicity. It allows you to design and manage your entire data protection strategy with a unified management console, and enables you to scale your data backup coverage as your organization grows with the push of a button.
We are using Arcserve UDP to backing ups nine sites in India. However, we do not directly back up user data.
We use this product for its protection software and for backup. I'm a system administrator and we are customers of Arcserve.
