We are moving to Commvault in the near future because we have a lot of VMware environments. Additionally, we will be using Linux instead of Microsoft Windows because it has fewer crashes and is more secure. One administrator can handle the maintenance of the solution. I would recommend the on-premise version of the solution. I rate Arcserve UDP an eight out of ten.
We are partners. Currently, I am in training mode in relation to this product. So far, I like the solution. It's very good and has string capacity for data and information. I'd rate it eight out of ten.
I give the solution ten out of ten. This solution offers one dashboard to manage the BC con, disaster recovery plan, DR solution, and backup as well as different licensing options, unlike other OEM products. We are the system integrators for our clients, so we design the solution as per the customer's requirements. We provide several solutions options to our clients such as Druva inSync, Druva Phoenix, and Arcserve UDP with the specifications and the client makes a decision based on their requirements. I would advise potential users to first be clear on whether they are going to use it as a backup solution for compliance purposes, just wanting to take the backups of files and servers, or for instant recovery. The IQ and RPO discussion with our customers usually takes 30 minutes. I recommend this solution.

I would rate the solution a four out of ten. I would not recommend the solution based on our experience. It depends on the situation. If you just want VMware or backup, it's okay, but in an extensive manner, if you want to use backup technology and tools, then it does not have the flexibility. So I would recommend it if there is a general case. If not, I would say look for something else.
It works out of the box, and it saves my life a lot. When a server goes down, Arcserve has always restored those critical servers, so I would rate it at nine on a scale from one to ten.

I would advise making sure that you have your strategy planned. I would rate it a seven out of 10. It is a good, solid product, but it doesn't do anything special. It just does what it is told.

I would advise others to do large test restores and see if that's going to do it because we have had trouble with doing a restore of large amounts of data, and it takes too long. I would rate it a seven out of 10. It is good.

This is a good solution because it offers multiple hybrid options. The same product can support local backup, cloud backup, and backup a server to the cloud as well. It is a complete portfolio available in a single product. When comparing to other products, all of the options are available. I would rate this solution a six out of ten.
I would rate it an eight out of ten. Think better of the configuration before shutting off the whole backup environment because when it's running for a couple of months or years it's difficult to change the data storage location and configuration. It would be nice to have more of a whitepaper from Arcserve with respect to setting up certain environments.
Arcserve UDP is a comprehensive solution that empowers even a one-person IT department to protect virtual and physical environments with a high degree of simplicity. It allows you to design and manage your entire data protection strategy with a unified management console, and enables you to scale your data backup coverage as your organization grows with the push of a button.

Before choosing a solution, I always consider the stability and whether it is doing the work and restoring that it is supposed to do.
I would rate Arcserve at five out of 10. It's slow, and we cannot restore each user's mailbox individually.
