Effective provisioning, helpful support, and reliable

Pros

"The most valuable features of Pure Storage FlashArray are the management view of the solutions, ease of provision, and deprovision, it is fantastic."

Cons

"I would like a feature to integrate with external or cloud solutions. For example, if I want to use this storage for a backup from the cloud, I want to have integration with the cloud vendors, such as Microsoft, Oracles, or Amazon. It could be available as an API to allow seamless integration. Additionally, the solution could improve by having native integration with a cloud provider, such as VMware or Microsoft, this would reduce the need to use third-party solutions to complete the task."

We saw instant improvement in response time and performance compared to previous storage solutions

Pros

"The most important feature of any storage array is its reliability, measured by its uptime."

Cons

"The interface lacks the same level of control as some other arrays I've used."

The ease of management has made it so easy that we don't have to have extra storage or systems people

Pros

"It helps us maintain uptime much better than other solutions we've used in the past, and the support is extremely quick and responsive. "

Cons

"I would love for them to have a hyper-converged solution."

Easy to work with, excellent dashboard, and helpful support

Pros

"The benefits were realized right away. Between the flash array and the compression, you can really see how good it is. Our databases run a lot better now."

Cons

"For large storage needs, it is expensive."

An easy-to-use and scalable tool for database storage

Pros

"Pure Storage FlashArray is simple and easy to use. It offers protection when removing devices. It has the ability to undo deletes. "

Cons

"I would like to see additional features like performance monitoring, configuring alerts, and the customization of alert thresholds."

Identify the size and volume that you want and the host that you want to deploy it to, then it just shows up and works

Pros

"It's reduced our overhead management time on storage, since it is so simple to get in and just provision a volume, present it to the host, and then you are done. "

Cons

"We did have one hiccup with the integration of vCenter. When we were installing Pure Storage, we were using vCenter 6.7, which defaults to the HTML5 Web Client. The current plugin for Pure Storage doesn't show up in that client at all. You have to go and use the legacy FlexFlash client to see the Pure Storage plugin in vCenter."

Easy to use with good support but is too expensive

Pros

"The solution is very reliable."

Cons

"It is a bit expensive. "

We saw the benefits immediately

Pros

"You can even review the devices from your phone. You don't need to be connected to your company's website or VPN to access alerts and reports. While you can't manage the devices using your phone, you can review all the important details about the machine. "

Cons

"FlashArray could improve on the administrative side. For example, when you need to upgrade the boxes, we can't do that ourselves. We need to open a ticket with support and have them do that for us. You don't need to be on the call with them. We tell them we have a slot that we want to upgrade, and they send us an email when it's done. "
