What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I have more than 50 customers for Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud.
I rate the solution a nine out of ten for scalability.
How was the initial setup?
The solution's initial setup is average and neither very straightforward nor too complex. Anybody who watches the videos or documentation can manage to do it.
What about the implementation team?
For the cloud edition, you need to download an agent and create the policies, and it's good to go. If you do an on-premises solution, you need to download the software, run the installer on the server, create policies, and add the devices to do backup. One L2 technical engineer is needed for the solution's maintenance and deployment.
What was our ROI?
We have seen a return on investment with Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud. With the cloud version, you don't need to invest in a server and storage on-premises as it's all taken care of on the cloud. The solution is easy to manage, and you don't need a dedicated admin to manage the solution. Any IT L1 OR L2 engineer can manage the solution.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The solution is moderately priced, where it is neither cheap nor expensive.
What other advice do I have?
In case of data loss or laptop theft with remote users traveling to different places, the data is protected with Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud. They can recover the data back to a new laptop.
With Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, one single platform can do a backup. It has an antivirus feature as well. It can do backups for endpoints, servers, applications, and databases. Cloud-based applications like Microsoft 365 and Google Suite can be backed up using one single platform.
The solution's most useful disaster recovery capabilities are the files and folders backup and recovery and a complete laptop backup, called a bare-metal recovery. Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is a very good backup solution. Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud can do a backup of endpoints and mailboxes in one solution.
With Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, you have your data backed up and safely protected. The solution helps you to recover lost data, which is beneficial. Instead of going for multiple solutions, one single solution can be used for backup and recovery and antivirus. The solution also helps to back up the data of cloud-based applications.
Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

Useful for backup and offers a user-friendly console
Pros and Cons
- "The most valuable feature of the solution is that its console itself is user-friendly."
- "Advanced backup is an area with certain shortcomings where improvements are required."
What is our primary use case?
I use the solution in my company for backup purposes.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature of the solution is that its console itself is user-friendly. Cyber Protection Console remains user-friendly for all 365 days. We can train customers to use the tool's console. When errors happen in the tool, the tool provides some articles and steps for troubleshooting. It is a very user-friendly tool. The console can be customized.
What needs improvement?
Advanced backup is an area with certain shortcomings where improvements are required. The number of applications is limited for advanced backup. The tool should provide more application-based backup or applications, which will be an advantage when compared to other backup products. Acronis only provides EDR for Windows-branded systems. If the tool can provide EDR for Mac OS, it would be better.
At the moment, Cyber Protect provides various and diverse features. I would like to see XDR in the tool. Now, the product provides EDR with antivirus features. If the tool can provide XDR functionalities, it would be better.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud for a year. My company is a distributor of the tool.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Stability-wise, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

Scalability-wise, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
The product is suitable for enterprise and medium-sized companies. In general, the tool is suitable for SMEs.

The solution is deployed on the cloud model, but sometimes, some customers want an on-premises model as well.
The solution can be deployed in a couple of hours.
What about the implementation team?
The product's initial setup phase was managed through consultation, and my company also provides implementation services to customers. After implementation, the customers monitor the console. My company provides support to customers who use the tool. My customers can call our company or email us about the things they can't troubleshoot. If we can also troubleshoot the incident, we can update the tool's support, after which we can use some support portals from Acronis.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The price of the product falls under a medium range.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is comparable with Rubrik.
What other advice do I have?
The product updates happen within three months, but there are no daily updates.
There needs to be a partner portal and the facility to email the tool's support team for technical support.

The stability is good.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The product is scalable, with two users currently using the solution in our company. For maintenance, we have a developer and two engineers. .
How was the initial setup?
The solution is easy to set up. If you implement through EverCloud, the deployment is quick. You send a link to the client, install it locally, and gain complete access to client control. The deployment time depends on the complexity. A workstation setup can be quick, taking just three days for a full disk and engine backup. However, if you opt to store data in their Acronis Cloud, it can become quite expensive.
What about the implementation team?
We implemented it in-house.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The product’s pricing is expensive. There are competitive products in the market at cheaper rates. If you’re using Acronis on the cloud, it can be quite expensive. We renew the license on an annual basis.
What other advice do I have?
I recommend the solution. Overall, I rate it a seven out of ten.

The most valuable feature of the solution is that it can cover both the cloud and the on-prem devices. From a performance point of view, it's a very good product that is very easy to use and covers many virtual environments.

I have experience with Veritas, Veeam, and Commvault. I chose Aronis over other tools as it is a much easier tool to use and a well-integrated solution with cloud services.
How was the initial setup?
The product's installation phase was easy.
The solution is deployed on the cloud and on an on-premises model.
The solution's deployment phase doesn't take much time, and it is something that depends on the environment where it is getting deployed. The deployment takes ten to fifteen minutes to be completed.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The product is not that expensive, making it a product that can be considered for purchase. I rate the product's price a four on a scale of one to ten, where one is expensive and ten is cheap.
The product's price depends on the environment of a business and the number of systems or types of devices used. There are no additional costs apart from the licensing fees attached to the solution.

I rate the overall tool a nine out of ten.

Good management, backup, and recovery features, with a single console to handle multiple backups
Pros and Cons
- "The management, backup, and recovery features are all very good."
- "The reporting could be improved. I would like to see some enhancements in that regard."
What is our primary use case?
We use this product to back up physical servers, virtual servers, PCs, and Office 365 files.
How has it helped my organization?
We are an IT company and backing up data is one of the services that we offer to our customers. This product enables us to use one management console to look after all of our customers' backups.
What is most valuable?
The management, backup, and recovery features are all very good.
What needs improvement?
The reporting could be improved. I would like to see some enhancements in that regard.
For how long have I used the solution?
Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Acronis is a stable solution and at the moment, it is very extensively used.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
This is a very scalable product.
For management purposes, we have perhaps five administrators who have access to it. We're probably managing more than 200 terabytes of data.
How are customer service and support?
The technical support is very good.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Prior to Acronis, we used Commvault, Backup Exec, and Veeam.
We found Commvault too expensive, overly complex, and very hardware intensive. Quite often with Commvault, you had to have more servers to put the backups onto than you were actually backing up.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is straightforward.
In our situation, although it was straightforward, it was quite complex in that we had to get all of our customers onto the system. We deployed it over a year, but that was because we were migrating lots of backup systems into one product.
What about the implementation team?
We implemented this product ourselves.
Once it's up and running, one or two people can maintain it. It's not heavy in that regard.
What was our ROI?
We have seen a return on investment using this solution.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Acronis offers a 30-day free trial of the product.
There are no additional costs beyond the standard licensing fees.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Before choosing Acronis, we looked at Arcserve, Datto, and StorageCraft.
What other advice do I have?
We're looking at adding the disaster recovery option to this solution.
My advice for anybody who is looking into implementing this product is to talk to Acronis and do a 30-day trial.
I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Public Cloud

Provides instant recovery and ransomware protection
Pros and Cons
- "Stability is a ten. No issues, no performance drops, and no crashes."
- "The pricing policies could be improved. So in future releases of the product, I would like to see better pricing, primarily."
What is most valuable?
Instant recovery and ransomware protection are the strong points. The active protection feature is particularly impressive.
What needs improvement?
The pricing policies could be improved. So in future releases of the product, I would like to see better pricing, primarily.
In the future releases, it would be great to have system protection and vulnerability assessment as additional features.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Acronis Backup Cloud for the past five years. We use the latest version.
We mostly use Backup Cloud for backing up our on-premises servers. If a customer requires cloud storage, then we suggest adding additional backups on cloud storage based on the required storage space. Acronis provides its own cloud storage. It's a public cloud.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Stability is a ten. No issues, no performance drops, and no crashes.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I would rate it ten out of ten. There are around 10-20 customers who have Acronis Backup Solution. It only requires server load.
How are customer service and support?
When customers renew their support, they will get the necessary assistance. Support is always available. They are helpful and responsive.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I used Veritas. The previous product was not very layman and required contacting a configuration repair person. Acronis, on the other hand, can be easily accessed and understood by any customer regarding backup policies. It also provides a better understanding of licensing, which was difficult with the previous product. Acronis is a more configurable product, and it offers a single console for managing all devices.
How was the initial setup?
It was really easy. The manageability and access are simple on a daily basis. The installation and implementation take around thirty minutes. However, to properly deploy and set it up, it may take two or more days.
It doesn't require any maintenance. The data is automatically handled.
What about the implementation team?
It's done remotely.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The licensing cost is very high. If any customers submit the renewal during the renewal period, it should be covered by the renewals. It starts from the renewal and not from the recent fees applicable. If customers have issues with their organization and don't want to renew right now, but plan to renew after six months, they may have applicable reinstant charges. However, these reinstitution charges can be wiped off or paid off. There are additional costs attached to the standard license.
I would rate it a six, where one is expensive, and ten is cheap.
What other advice do I have?
Overall, I would rate the solution a ten out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
On-premises

Scaling it is seamless and it's stable and has an active protection feature against ransomware attacks
Pros and Cons
- "What I like best about Acronis Backup Cloud is the active protection feature that helps you protect your workload from ransomware attacks."
- "What's lacking in Acronis Backup Cloud is a unified dashboard or console that lets you see the backup status of all clients."
What is our primary use case?
Acronis Backup Cloud can back up your on-premise workload, such as your virtual machine and physical server. You can store your backups in-house in the cloud or local storage, for example, a file server or network-attached storage.
If you have servers in a cloud provider, such as in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, you can use Acronis Backup Cloud to back it up. You can also use the solution to protect workloads in applications such as Microsoft 365, Barracuda, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Exchange.
Acronis Backup Cloud can protect machines that run on various operating systems, such as the Windows Server, all versions, from 2008 to 2022, Linux, and Mac operating systems.
What is most valuable?
What I like best about Acronis Backup Cloud is the active protection feature that helps you protect your workload from ransomware attacks. It's a security feature that lets you combat ransomware. If you have the active protection feature enabled for your workload, you won't have to worry even if your system gets attacked by ransomware.
What needs improvement?
What's lacking in Acronis Backup Cloud is a unified dashboard or console that lets you see the backup status of all clients. Currently, each client has his dashboard for status monitoring, but I want Acronis Backup Cloud to implement a unified console or dashboard for monitoring.
Compared to Veeam Backup & Replication, Acronis Backup Cloud lacks the Hyper-V replication feature present in Veeam Backup & Replication.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have four years of experience with Acronis Backup Cloud.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Acronis Backup Cloud is quite stable because there's a new release or code every month or twice a month. The Acronis team is always on top of releasing updates to fix any vulnerability in the tool, so I find Acronis Backup Cloud stable enough.
You can upgrade from the portal to the latest Acronis Backup Cloud version. You'll receive a notification whenever there's an upgrade, and to upgrade, you can click a button.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Acronis Backup Cloud is very scalable. Some of my clients started with five devices for the backups and then started increasing the number to twenty, thirty, or fifty.
Scaling Acronis Backup Cloud is seamless. Just from the portal, you can push the agent to any new device that you have, and that's it.
How are customer service and support?
The technical support for Acronis Backup Cloud is brilliant. The team is swift to respond anytime I raise a request. The support team always walks me through the steps for resolving my particular issue, so I'm giving Acronis Backup Cloud an eight out of ten, support-wise.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I worked with Veeam Backup & Replication, but I prefer Acronis Backup Cloud because you can choose the type of deployment you want. For example, you can deploy it on the cloud or on-premises because Acronis Backup Cloud has two versions. Veeam Backup & Replication, on the other hand, only has the on-premise version, so you always have to deploy it on-premises.
How was the initial setup?
Acronis Backup Cloud has a straightforward setup process. It takes about ten minutes to set it up.
Because I'm using the cloud version of the solution, I only need to ask the client what features he wants to be enabled on his account. I then enable the features, claim the email address, then do some configurations. It will then take five minutes to access the portal.
What takes a bit more time is onboarding devices to Acronis Backup Cloud. For example, if you have ten machines, you must onboard each machine to the solution.
What other advice do I have?
I'm still using Acronis Backup Cloud. I'm using the latest version of the solution.
I'm a partner of Acronis Backup Cloud.
I'm in charge of maintaining the solution on behalf of my clients. The maintenance overhead is not that much. My colleague and I can handle the maintenance of Acronis Backup Cloud.
I advise anyone looking into using the solution to do the extra trial because you can get more than one trial for Acronis Backup Cloud. Do the trial and experiment, and check if the solution works for you and your environment.
My rating for Acronis Backup Cloud is eight out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
