Single console management for endpoints, as well as endpoint backup, simple to install, and maintain
Pros and Cons
- "The integration with multiple modules in the console and the backup and recovery features are very good."
- "I would like to see more integration with SIEM solutions."
What is our primary use case?
Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud has many modules included, but we were only interested in the antivirus, security landscape, and backup components.
This can be useful if a customer is looking for a single console to manage all of their endpoints in terms of antivirus as well as endpoint backup, office to private email backup, and remote support. Asset management, vulnerability management, and email security are all aspects of asset management. If the users are spread across the globe, this will be beneficial.
What is most valuable?
The integration with multiple modules in the console and the backup and recovery features are very good.
Stability, security, and integration with various platforms are already present. Acronis has been on the market for quite some time. They've been constantly improving it and making it better and better.
What needs improvement?
Licensing costs could be improved.
I would like to see more integration with SIEM solutions.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud for six months.
We are using the latest version.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is a stable product.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
We have five customers, and the users are starting from 50 to 500 users.
How are customer service and support?
Technical support is good.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We provide several solutions such as Singularity, EDR, and Sentinel Endpoint.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is straightforward.
This solution took two days to deploy, but it depends on which module is chosen. If you go with the overall solution, it could take a week.
We have one person to maintain this solution.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
It's a subscription license with free trial licenses. It's a yearly subscription.
For technical support, there is a monthly and yearly billing option, as well as a subscription.
What other advice do I have?
I would recommend this solution to others who are interested in using it.
I would rate Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud a nine out of ten.

Saves money and time, easy to use for restoring data, and very stable
Pros and Cons
- "It is easy to use. I don't need any help to figure out how to do it. It is also very easy to install and upgrade. It is very simple and easy to use for restoring. It supports universal restoration. I can restore a full machine to another hardware with this, which is a very good feature."
- "It will be good if Acronis can provide more documentation and videos describing how to do different things. Their documentation is good, but it is without examples. They don't have lots of videos. They should put more videos on YouTube to show how to set up certain things, how to restore, and how to back up. They should provide step-by-step documentation and videos for specific scenarios. I would like them to improve the command line feature. The command line is not working smoothly, and there is some problem with it. If the command line is improved, it will take the product to the next level. It would be great if it can back up data from storage so that people are able to back up old data. Such a feature will make it an enterprise solution for a full backup."
What is our primary use case?
We use it for the backup of user machines. We have a lot of machines, and I use it daily to monitor, check, and do upgrades and make sure that everything is working properly.
How has it helped my organization?
It saves money and time. I have some machines with a very complex setup. It takes, for example, one week to set up a machine. In case the machine fails, instead of installing it again in one week, I can restore it in one hour. So, it saves time, and we don't have to bring people again to set up the machine.
What is most valuable?
It is easy to use. I don't need any help to figure out how to do it. It is also very easy to install and upgrade.

For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using this solution for more than six years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It is very stable. If I need to restore something, it perfectly completes the mission.
How are customer service and technical support?
Their support is very good and professional. I opened a case through our management site, and they called me. They followed up through emails to ensure that everything is okay.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I didn't use any other solution.
How was the initial setup?
It is easy to deploy. I don't even need to use the documentation to do it. It does not take a lot of time. A new server takes half a day.
Its deployment is very easy with Active Directory or via the management console. You can control and monitor where it fails. It is very easy to use and understand. I just play with the interface, and it is very easy to do things.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I am not the one who is paying for it, but based on what I know, it is not very expensive. It has a good price.
What other advice do I have?
I would advise others to go to the site and download it for free for 13 days and play with it. It is a very good solution that makes your life easier. The people behind this product are very smart, and they are thinking about the end-user.
I would rate Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud a nine out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
On-premises

Highly scalable, amazing features, stable and can be used from anywhere
Pros and Cons
- "I would recommend this solution. It's easy and fast, you don't need to be on-premises you can use it from anywhere."
- "There could be some changes done to the action page to simplify it."
What is our primary use case?
We use the solution to backup servers.
What is most valuable?
There are many features I like such as the ability to run favourite scans multiply times a day. If the solution finds any malware, for example, it will do the actions automatically. This limits the amount of action a user needs to do.
It is amazing how many ways you can do the recovery, you can recover by image, ISO, and files.
You can create a new VM, via the cloud, using the same image backup and network settings, that is very easy to configure
The Business Continuity Plan is all in one and easy to use, unlike competitors that require you to know more detail going forward. It is much more user-friendly.
What needs improvement?
There could be some changes done to the action page to simplify it. For example, when you want to do any actions with VM there could be more informative on the actions being done. Currently, there are just icons with no description of what the option does. The last improvement I would like to see is more information on the stages you are currently on and continually as you go through the process.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using the solution for two months.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I am new to the solution but I did some testings and It was very smooth. The new dashboard I created was working fine. There were no problems with stability.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
You can have hundreds of machines running no problems, the scalability is very good.
How are customer service and technical support?
I called technical support once or twice, I did not speak to them very much but they responded right away.
How was the initial setup?
Everything was straightforward in setting up the solution, it took approximately 10 minutes. With some of the other competitors, the process could take a week.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
With the price, there is a certain limitation on terabytes but no limits on how many servers or how many services you can run.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I tested Uni-Trends and Acronis at the same time and I went with Acronis because it impressed me.
What other advice do I have?
I would recommend this solution. It's easy and fast, you don't need to be on-premises you can use it from anywhere. You can backup whatever you want, anything from your mobile phone to your OneDrive.
Based on my limited two months of experience with the product, the solution is perfect for me.
I rate Acronis Backup Cloud a ten out of ten.

Centralized device management, automatic backup schedule, and good technical support
Pros and Cons
- "The most valuable features are the automated backup, and that you are able to manage all of your devices centrally."
- "I would like to have support for agentless backup, where you don't have to install an agent on the host."
What is our primary use case?
I am a managed service provider and we provide this solution to small and medium-sized companies for backing up their data.
The client will have local backup copies on their premises, and a backup copy of that in the cloud. At times, the clients will back up their data directly to the cloud from their end devices. The small companies prefer to do this without having a local installation of Acronis.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable features are the automated backup, and that you are able to manage all of your devices centrally. You are able to create a different account for the different clients so that everyone is backing up on the same server in their own environment.
What needs improvement?
I would like to have support for agentless backup, where you don't have to install an agent on the host.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been selling Acronis Backup Cloud for six months.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Scalability is good because there are no limits as to the number of agents you can have backing up data. Our clients are small and medium-sized companies with an average of 40 users.
How are customer service and technical support?
Technical support is good. They are quite responsive and they are able to guide you when you have any technical issues.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Prior to Acronis, I used to use Cobian Backup. It had a final release several years ago.
Cobian did not have a lot of features. For example, it didn't have those related to cloud-based backups or knowledge of federated accounts.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is not complex. I would say that it is quite easy and simple to do.
If you are setting up a cloud backup then the clients can be backing up their data within minutes, or perhaps within an hour. The speed at which the initial backup completes is dependent on the bandwidth that they have available, but in terms of getting it up and running, it can be done within an hour.
What other advice do I have?
I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Valuable incremental backup system supported a detailed knowledge base and responsive support team
What is our primary use case?
We use this solution primarily for the backup of information. An example would be to assist our clients who are moving from a public cloud to a private cloud. We would use Acronis for the backup up of information during this migration.
What is most valuable?
The first valuable feature is the incremental backups which ensure that your information and products are always up to date.
Secondly, there are many knowledge base articles that are detailed and make it is easy to troubleshoot when issues arise.
Lastly, we have collaborated with the support team for more complex issues which can't be fixed by our team. In two to three weeks, they have helped us resolve these issues.
What needs improvement?
There are some compatibility issues that could be improved. For example, all versions before Linux SUSE 10 cannot always be backed up. However, I have only encountered this issue one to three percent of the time as many issues have already been addressed by Acronis.
For how long have I used the solution?
My current organization has used this solution for three years and I have worked with it for the past six years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I would rate Acronis 99% for stability. The remaining 1% is to account for end user issues such as those relating to hardware, although this is a rare occurrence.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
This is a scalable solution that can support complex environments. We currently use it for more than 400 clients across different countries.
How are customer service and support?
The support team are quick and responsive.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
How was the initial setup?
The on-premises setup is a bit complex. There is a hardware setup that requires an engineer. Certain skill sets are needed to maintain the solution and make it work.
The setup was simple for a cloud system. If it is done by a technical person, installation could take one to two hours.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Licensing and costs depend on the storage sizes required for the data to be backed up.
What other advice do I have?
I would recommend taking note of the storage you are paying for when backing up data and ensuring you reduce it as much as possible.
It is important to monitor the backup process on a daily basis using Acronis alerts. I would suggest having a technician look after this solution to ensure no backfires take place.
This is a fast product that fits into existing technology easily without causing friction.

A backup and cyber protection solution that is easy to deploy and use.
Pros and Cons
- "One of the best benefits of using Acronis is that it also provides data security along with the backup of data. It checks everything, and that's the main benefit of using Acronis"
- "I don't see any room for improvement in the solution itself, but their marketing could be better. Dealers and customers aren't aware of this product or the company, so maybe they should concentrate more on marketing."
What is our primary use case?
We are using this product to store data and as our software backup. Acronis Cyber Protect is used whenever you want to back up your data and for disaster recovery.
What is most valuable?
One of the best benefits of using Acronis is that it also provides data security along with the backup of data. It checks everything, and that's the main benefit of using Acronis. If you see all the other software in the marketplace, they are just backup solutions. But this product also offers security. With a single product, you get two benefits. It's also easy to deploy and easy to use, and they also provide continuous training.
What needs improvement?
I don't see any room for improvement in the solution itself, but their marketing could be better. Dealers and customers aren't aware of this product or the company, so maybe they should concentrate more on marketing. Technically there is no other criticism from my side.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud for the last eight months.
How are customer service and technical support?
They have local support, which is good.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We have used other on-premise solutions for backup, but for the cloud, we selected Acronis because of security.
How was the initial setup?
If you see the solution, using the renewals and everything, one can easily deploy it, depending on the requirement. For a backup related to the app, if you need a little bit of help from an expert, Acronis can help. But for us, it's easy to manage. Once deployed, you will never need to consider anything.
What about the implementation team?
We implemented this solution ourselves. It took us about an hour to deploy this solution.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
We pay for whatever we use, and they bill us accordingly.
What other advice do I have?
Whoever wants to backup their data should also lookout for a solution that provides data security. This is very important nowadays with issues like ransomware, privacy, and security. Also, the backup should be easily accessible whenever we need it. They should select a product that does it all, and Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud provides all these benefits in a single solution.
On a scale from one to ten, I would give Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud a nine.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

User-friendly with good reporting and good dashboards
Pros and Cons
- "The product offers very easy configuration capabilities."
- "The technical support could be improved. When you create a ticket, the responsiveness you'd expect is lacking."
What is our primary use case?
Currently, we're using it to backup all the workforce data from the laptops and devices. The data is taken to the server for backup purposes.
What is most valuable?
The solution is very easy to use. It's user-friendly.
The product offers very easy configuration capabilities.
It does what it's supposed to do. We needed a simple backup, and nothing too complex. If we need to recover data, we can recover it quickly. This is a very simple setup that works well for our purposes.
The reporting on the product has been good.
We've found the documentation very helpful.
The initial setup is very simple. It's one of the key reasons we chose the product.
The pricing of the solution is reasonable. We're quite happy with it.
We've been happy with the customization potential of the product.
The solution has good dashboards.
What needs improvement?
The technical support could be improved. When you create a ticket, the responsiveness you would expect is lacking.
For how long have I used the solution?
I've been using the solution for nearly two years at this point. It's been a while.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The product is quite stable. In the two years we have used it, we haven't felt the need to really move to a different solution as it seems to be stable. There aren't bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. It's great.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The solution scales well enough. The background is fast. They are using AWS as a background, and AWS scales beautifully as most of us know. With the AWS foundations, a company can scale the solution quite well.
We have about 70 people on the solution currently.
How are customer service and technical support?
I can't say that we are too satisfied with technical support. When you open a ticket, it takes too long to get a response. The response times overall are quite lengthy.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is not complex at all. It's very straightforward. This is a very simple solution to set up.
I don't remember exactly how long the deployment took, however, I recall the process being relatively quick.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
We pay monthly under a subscription model. We're quite happy with the pricing. It's not overly expensive.
You don't have to pay for anything other than the license. However, they do have another version that offers a few more security features. It's an incremental change in price. Some of our staff are using it as they have very flexible licensing models in general.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We evaluated Druva before choosing this product. We chose Acronis due to the fact that we needed a simple product that could back up and give recovery to the cloud. Also, Druval was a bit pricier in comparison to Acronis.
What other advice do I have?
We are just a customer and end-usser. We don't have a relationship with Acronis beyond that.
The solution is SaaS-based. That means, there's auto-updating happening, which means we are always on the latest version of the solution.
I would recommend the solution.
I'd advise new users to look at which version of the product they really need. No one should go in blindly as they have different versions according to size. One is their basic level, one is the advanced security, et cetera. If a company chooses correctly, then they'll be happy with the product later on and not feel the need to fill in requirements.
I'd rate the solution nine out of ten. We are quite happy with it overall.
