Offers multi-tenancy feature and interface is very refined, works fine, and is very intuitive but rocky implementation process
Many features that Arcserve proposes in its documentation and marketing material actually don't work properly in practice. Veeam is the most comparable solution, considering features and capacities. They are very similar, but Veeam works fine most of the time. With Arcserve, we have a lot of problems in implementing and getting compatibility, especially with legacy systems. We also have mysterious problems that no one can solve. The performance is not as planned or as intended. Our experience has been shaky. It's not very reliable as a tool, especially in critical cases like disaster recovery. So we've been working on migrating all our projects to Veeam and other similar solutions that offer comparable features. Reliability is not Arcserve's greatest strength – implementation is rocky, and sizings never work as planned. Plus, their cloud service is very slow and relatively expensive compared to Veeam.

Pricing and Cost Advice

"There are annual subscription fees and there are licensing costs for three computers. It is an expensive solution."
"Pricing is most likely comparable."
"The retail fee is $1300 for a year for one server. Other than that, there is just the cost of your hardware."
"The price of StorageCraft ShadowProtect is competitive in the market."
"We only have the maintenance of three standard UDP licenses. Each license is 50 Euro. There are some additional costs for the storage and software but it has nothing to do with the UDP."
"The pricing is moderate."
"Normally our customers purchase the premium plus license, rather than the standard one, which provides more options."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a four or five out of ten."

Comparing the features of the four is not the right approach. You need to develop a list of requirements for backup and DR that are specific to your organization and then compare each of the four products to those requirements. All the products you have listed do very well in specific niche markets, all of them also have cons as well, without a clear understanding of what your requirements ar...
