It helps simplify complex workloads, provides excellent visibility, and improves compliance processes
Broadcom's AAI module offers advanced predictive SLA monitoring and management reporting capabilities, integrating with ServiceNow for alerting and problem resolution. AAI provides critical path analysis and predictive alerts, analyzing and visualizing processes across diverse IT environments, including competitor tools like Redwood Tidal, IBM IWS, BMC Control-M and Apache Airflow and other Broadcom tools including AutoSys and CA7. Providing IT Operations and Support staff with a comprehensive view is particularly beneficial for large organizations, allowing them to monitor processes holistically on a single dashboard. AAI is a critical selling point for Automic, especially for corporations managing complex IT infrastructures resulting from mergers, acquisitions, or global operations. Another advantage of Automic Automation over competitors lies in its excellent SAP integration. Its ability to seamlessly integrate with SAP systems is a key factor in winning competitive bids, as it offers unmatched flexibility and adaptability. Automic's programmability allows for the creation of a versatile automation framework, surpassing traditional job scheduling capabilities. Prioritizing simplicity and user experience, Automic ensures even junior staff can easily understand and operate the system. By enforcing standardized naming conventions and templates, Automic maintains control and clarity, especially in large-scale operations with millions of jobs. Ultimately, Automic's reliability, supportability, and ability to enhance operational efficiency through automation make it a standout choice.

Offers good automation features to users
Only the tool's support can be a drawback where improvements are needed. The support can be too slow, so we have to wait due to a longer response time. There is also no live access for e-learning purposes, as no one is available on the platform. As time passes, new things are implemented which are easy to access. There is clear documentation of the solution, making it a good product for all. The product's screenshots and concepts are clear. In the tool, the first step is clear, and the second step will be after the third step based on what you need. You can add the screenshots. As the product's documentation is clear, the installation can be done very easily. In the future, I want the tool to offer AI, as it can make it easy for users to get help.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature of this solution is the scheduler."
"The most valuable feature is that it can be installed on any type of application on every kind of operating system and the agent can use it on these applications and systems."
"It helps our efficiency because it is a batch processing tool which works without a menu."
"Automic is 99 percent stable. We've never had a problem with stability."
"It is not possible do our jobs without automation software. Automic is a great help to us."
"We have two nodes that are highly available. You can add new nodes if you need that. You can take a node, a total node, down and still be operating fine. It has a lot of scaling to it."
"It is easy to set up and use. The whole system is complete."
"I have found new methods for converting scripts from Dollar U to ONE Automation. For example, I take the dynamic library from Dollar U and put it in the dynamic binary library in ONE Automation. This enables us to use Dollar U scripts in ONE Automation."
"It's very stable. If you ask me for the success rate metrics, it's more than 90% for both."
"The product is good functionality-wise. I am impressed with the tool's flexibility in customization."
"In my environment, if I want to shut down all tools in one shot, I can create a workflow and run the workflow to shut down all tools in one go."
"It has reduced the time taken to go to market. In the past, we were struggling with building these integrations, but now the process has sped up and there is an added advantage of quick delivery. In addition, it is an agent-less solution, which provides more flexibility in terms of multiple options."

Cons

"I should be able to grant a user access to execute a job without having to directly list every include, prompt set, output scan, script, login, etc. An inherited read for execution purposes would accomplish the same results without making the admin list every single object every time, as well as deny the user the ability to edit."
"The SSH agent is missing in version 12.1. Maybe it would be a good addition to see on the web client of the next version of Atomic."
"I hope in the next release that they will solve all the bugs which they have found in development."
"We would like to have some features with the AWI with the founding technique, which cannot currently be delivered."
"It has a very complicated interface, which could be made to be more user-friendly."
"When there's an error or a problem, the automation part of it could be easily programmed to escalate it up to the developers or whoever is going to work on it. We had to home-grow that within the product because third-party products are so expensive."
"We have some problems with updates where some functions are changed, so you have to check your whole system to see if everything is still running. The update process for us is around two months of testing and one day of updates."
"The scalability is limited by the SQL in the background, and that is a problem."
"The tool's UI needs to be improved. It needs to have better administration features in future releases."
"The price is an area that should be addressed because the price is high."
"There were a lot of scalability issues that we initially faced. Whenever I tried to deploy 100-200 endpoints, it became a huge challenge. We had to actually start using other tools like Tivoli Endpoint Management in order to patch the issues."
"Only the tool's support can be a drawback where improvements are needed."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Before I joined this company, Automic had a contract with its parent company, and their pricing was very competitive. However, when we split into multiple businesses, the contract increased significantly, becoming an expensive tool."
"Workload Automation's pricing is excellent, especially in comparison to similar solutions."
"You do not need any humans to start jobs, so you can save a lot of money."
"Pricing is competitive compared to other major vendors."
"This is a support system for us, not our core business, so we purchased this product inexpensively."
"It costs to scale. While, it is scalable, the add-ons are expensive."
"It costs too much. That's why we are now looking at other products."
"We have received a lot of time and cost efficiencies from using the product."
"The cost is very high compared to anything else available."
"I do not have experience with the pricing or licensing of the product."
"The tool is expensive. I rate the tool a six if one is cheap and ten is very expensive."
