Modern endpoint management has transformed onboarding and strengthened remote security controls
The features of Microsoft Intune are straightforward, including Windows Autopilot, zero-touch deployment, centralized device management, and conditional access security controls. Using zero-touch deployment and Windows Autopilot in Microsoft Intune has significantly improved my workflow and organization. New laptops are shipped directly to users with no IT handling needed, and there is no manual imaging or configuration required. These features have a real impact. They save hours of manual setup per device, reduce dependency on the IT team for basic provisioning, and ensure every system is configured consistently and securely. Microsoft Intune has positively impacted my organization by improving device management. Devices are managed from a single cloud console. It has reduced manual work for provisioning and configuration. It has faster onboarding using Autopilot. It has enhanced security posture through enforced compliance policies, encryption, antivirus, and password rules. Conditional access ensures only trusted devices can access resources. I have better support for remote users, as devices can be managed from anywhere with no dependency on office network or VPN for basic management. It has easy troubleshooting and policy updates.

Useful for vulnerability scanning and data encryption
AWS Config's dashboard improved our company's security as it helps with the vulnerability scanning of resources. AWS Config integrates with the existing security infrastructure of our company, and it is an easy process that is not at all complicated. AWS Config is a security product. The tool protects its users' resources and data from unauthorized access, security breaches, and threats. The product helps with data encryption. You can have your data on AWS KMS, which helps with data encryption. For areas like SSL/TLS encryption, the tool offers data protection between AWS services and endpoints. As I need to learn the components of the product, I rate the overall tool a seven out of ten.

Successfully manage endpoint security and compliance while facing integration challenges
I have not come across any difficulties. I integrated it with ILMT (IBM License Metric Tool). It lets us identify all software being used in my organization with BigFix. It provides input of all types of software being used, including details and information about hardware specifications. I am more involved in software licensing and procurement, so I utilize this tool for procuring more licenses if needed for our company. After integration, we get different dashboards showcasing our IBM infrastructure, highlighting various issues in our environment that we can mitigate. I recommend BigFix to others. I rate BigFix a seven out of ten.

"The most valuable features in Microsoft Intune for me are application deployment, Defender deployment, and asset management."
"The stability of Microsoft Intune is ten out of ten."
"We have found the solution is capable of scaling."
"The security features are most definitely valuable. If I have to give an example, the lockdown features that prevent employees from configuring anything or downloading company data are valuable. We get high-quality device protection, malware protection, and information protection at the same time."
"I really appreciate the features in Microsoft Intune, including the Intune Suite Cloud PKI."
"AWS Config's dashboard improved our company's security as it helps with the vulnerability scanning of resources."
"The tracking, history logs, and security alert features are valuable because they are critical features that assist us."
"The scalability is a ten out of ten."
"The tool protects its users' resources and data from unauthorized access, security breaches, and threats."
"The initial setup is super easy, it takes like two minutes. Literally a one-click deployment."
"The solution is scalable and provides over 100 rules."
"Installing the instances and performing upgrades is smooth and clean."
"Due to the automation, we've been able to prevent a lot of human errors with BigFix so it's reduced our help desk calls by 50%."
"We are able to decrease the number of high and critical vulnerabilities by at least 30% in six months, which is a huge improvement and makes the environment more secure."
"I’ve found patching to be the most valuable feature of the solution."
"BigFix is reliable and stable, it is perfect."
"It has plugins development options, which are great."
"Support is very awesome. Every time we have needed something from technical support, they have been on top of everything with a very quick turnaround in the issues that we've had with the product."
"For our clients, what was normally a full 30 days of work is now down to a couple of days to get the data in and actually get out and patch the thing."
"We did a proof of concept, looked at the other competitors and after scaling all of them on a matrix, IBM ended up being the best option for us."

Cons

"Its stability should also be improved. It is not very stable; sometimes, it shows some inconsistencies across tenants."
"I would like to see Intune improve its handling of hybrid domain joins. We continue to experience issues with machines losing their hybrid domain join status."
"If your MDM has to be really specific, perhaps Intune is not the better option."
"There are some issues using the solution with macOS and iOS, and it offers limited granular control with them. Intune works better on Windows and Android."
"Intune should support platforms other than Windows. We have encountered several limitations, especially when handling iOS devices."
"The only drawback or challenge is that it does not support server deployment."
"Intune has limited integration with non-Microsoft solutions."
"The tool's tunnel gateway is not very good, making it an area where improvements are required."
"The reboot process for AWS instances could be improved. Microsoft Azure does not have this problem, so AWS could consider making their instances more robust. You would not need to reboot your instances frequently to replace the hardware and stuff. They can look for a better approach or mechanism to improve in the future. The concern is that you need to plan for the outage when you reboot an instance. You need to have a maintenance window where you can properly reboot the instance without affecting your application. When Amazon announces that you need to reboot an instance and are not ready, this becomes a problem."
"The solution is missing a configuration that can assist us when writing our programming languages."
"The solution is missing a configuration that can assist us when writing our programming languages."
"There is room for improvement in built-in tools, they are not up to the mark."
"Improvements are needed as per customer requirements."
"I would like to see the Self Service section made more user-friendly."
"I have concerns about BigFix's pricing, which I find to be slightly on the higher side."
"I'd like to see better API integration with BigFix. We have some tremendous API capability inside of CyFIR and the ability to take textual search results, for example, and bring that back into the BigFix dashboard. This would be of extreme interest to us and our customers."
"The main shortcoming of BigFix was integration with vulnerability management."
"Technical support depends on who you get. I deal with some amazing support folks, and then I've dealt with some less-than-amazing support folks."
"We have had scalability issues because we bend the laws of the physics for the tool."
"BigFix could improve its asset management capabilities to discover assets, including hardware."
"I would like to see for it to be a little easier for new users to be able to learn and create relevant statements. In my opinion, that's the hardest part for bringing on new people that haven't had BigFix experience. Being able to have easier ways to build relevance in ActionScript would be the biggest improvement I'd like to see."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I don't have any problem as far as cost is concerned. It is bundled with our license."
"It's affordable for the protection it gives. There are no additional costs."
"Microsoft Intune has been incorporated into our Microsoft E5 licenses."
"Intune is moderately expensive. You can get the license bundled with Office 365 E3 or E5 licenses. The E5s are a bit expensive, but you get some cheaper solutions with Intune."
"Microsoft Intune is expensive."
"The pricing needs improvement."
"The price could be better."
"The clients pay for a license and each can have a different type of license, such as an E3 or E5."
"It is a very expensive tool. AWS pricing for Config is not fixed and depends on your organization's size and complexity."
"The solution charges us per hour. There's no license."
"There's not much big cost. We only have to pay the agents' cost for the server, and for the systems."
"Compliance, inventory, and licensing are really pricey. They should lower the price. It discourages users from getting onboard."
"So, the pricing is slightly more expensive than the others. I have to keep buying licenses every time I add a new device."
"It is too costly. It is one of the best tools, but because of pricing, not all clients support it. Its licensing is on a yearly basis."
"I can estimate the reduced cost of servers maintenance to approximatively $500,000."
"The price is reasonable, but our customers find it expensive."
"When purchasing, buying with other IBM tools provided us with a very good discount in pricing."
"You get what we call the Platform Edition, which you get for free. The patch service is maybe $0.50 per workstation per month. Then there's the basic server cost, which is about $1.50 per server per month. You also get into Lifecycle which does power management, OSD remote control, and those types of things, and that might be about 10 times the price - which works out to about $13 per server and, maybe $5 per workstation per month."
