Admin gets the information about which computer has been infected and good to use for servers and endpoints
The important factor is that after implementing Bitdefender, we haven't found any attacks. It has a vaccine for the RDP protocol, which is specific to this. We do some customization, but it does not lack any protection. Compared to older versions, we have not found any degradation in performance in the newer versions from the last three to five years, whether for graphical or normal users. They're not complaining that we are facing problems like memory issues. Bitdefender is also customizable and granular, but once you install it, it keeps running. The admin gets the information about which computer has been infected and can take action accordingly. On a regular basis, Bitdefender's AI capability is okay. But you cannot leave some decisions to AI. You must have control. You have to look at what you're filtering, as it can be a false positive. But on a regular basis, AI can be helpful.

Users only need to install the VPN and authenticate with their email address
I primarily use remote VPN solutions to connect securely. We have configured both site-to-site VPN and remote VPN, and it is connected to FortiClient Implementing this solution has streamlined time management in our organization. Without SSO, we would need manual configuration for each PC, but…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I find Bitdefender to be very light. When we were using the other versions, users would complain that they would make the computers slow. But since we have deployed Bitdefender, we haven't had that."
"Virus scan and the ability to remotely install are valuable features. Being able to manage everything in one place and set different policies and rules for different computer types are very useful features. It also has ransomware protection. It is very simple to use, and it is very effective."
"The tool has a firewall module to control traffic. It also has a feature to map incidents and provide information about attackers and the environment."
"When it comes to the web, according to our customers, this product stands out due to its superior performance compared to others."
"The product offers an opportunity to monitor the things happening in our network. It also has a comprehensive dashboard."
"You will always have a backup copy of any policy the Bitdefender user defines."
"The product provides a single dashboard."
"Security for malware and threats is the most valuable feature."
"The ability to reroute traffic from the user, connecting you to the internet rather than passing through our network area, is very useful."
"What I find valuable in FortiClient is its patch management capabilities, allowing remote updates efficiently."
"I use the tool to connect server to an ISP Data Center."
"It is very simple to use. I've used some of the others in the past, such as Cisco AnyConnect, which was a nightmare. I've used a couple of others, but FortiClient is very simple to use."
"It is a feature-rich product that is easy to use and install without sacrificing security."
"The initial setup is easy."
"It is very easy and useful. A normal user with basic information can easily connect to any environment."
"The most valuable features of FortiClient are its VPN capabilities and its use as an anti-malware and anti-spam solution."

Cons

"The dashboard can be improved."
"The connection with the controller needs improvement. Some connections are currently unstable."
"At this point in time, the download footprint is a bit big. What I mean is the initial file I download to deploy on end-user devices is about six hundred to seven hundred megabytes, and it should be scaled down to an agent size of maybe less than one hundred megabytes, max."
"I think it would be helpful if I could get a live console directly on the machine. Additionally, if I could run scripts on the machines to respond to any incidents, that would be a great feature."
"The live monitoring service from Bitdefender's center is expensive and has room for improvement."
"The firewall capabilities could benefit from an upgrade since it lacks a high level of granularity and control."
"Machines with low memory and CPU may experience slow performance."
"Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security could improve the RDP, I have problems sometimes."
"The licensing feature of the product requires improvement since whenever the license expires, the tool logs out its users automatically, irrespective of whether they are on the network or not, which can be problematic for me."
"FortiClient is not great in Linux."
"The pricing could use improvement."
"FortiClient is not communicating with the new version of the firewall."
"More integration would be beneficial."
"It takes too long to install."
"The solution has some issues with stability on the user side."
"The features of Fortinet FortiClient could be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Its price has gone up since our last renewal. My renewal fee has gone from $517.99 in 2018 for 3 years to $739.99 when it renews this year in July. I love the product, but a price increase of over 40% is a bit exorbitant."
"The general basic price is roughly $1.20 for a license with Bitdefender."
"In terms of the licensing costs associated with Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security, the agreement was made nearly three years ago, but from what I recall, the figure was around €6,000 to €7,000 for three years, including support for two hundred endpoints."
"The tool is not expensive and pricing is competitive."
"The license is yearly."
"It has very flexible licensing costs, and it's modular-based."
"The product's pricing is okay and it is yearly."
"There are many licensing options available, we have been on monthly agreements and other volume contract agreements."
"I don't know it by heart, but it is comparable to other solutions. It is based on the number of clients. It is probably 50 Euros per year per client. It greatly depends on the number of clients you're handling because the more clients you are ordering it for, the cheaper it will be."
"The price of the solution depends on the type of firewall you have from FortiGate. I am satisfied with the price of the solution."
"The solution is not expensive. We need more discounted rates in Pakistan. The price of the solution could be reduced to be more affordable for the solution."
"It is not that expensive. It was within the range. A dollar per user per month is nothing."
"The pricing is good because you get and end-to-end security solution in one package price."
"Licensing was free up to ten users and after that, it was pretty reasonable."
"The pricing is a six out of ten."
"I rate the product's pricing a seven out of ten."
