Admin gets the information about which computer has been infected and good to use for servers and endpoints
The important factor is that after implementing Bitdefender, we haven't found any attacks. It has a vaccine for the RDP protocol, which is specific to this. We do some customization, but it does not lack any protection. Compared to older versions, we have not found any degradation in performance in the newer versions from the last three to five years, whether for graphical or normal users. They're not complaining that we are facing problems like memory issues. Bitdefender is also customizable and granular, but once you install it, it keeps running. The admin gets the information about which computer has been infected and can take action accordingly. On a regular basis, Bitdefender's AI capability is okay. But you cannot leave some decisions to AI. You must have control. You have to look at what you're filtering, as it can be a false positive. But on a regular basis, AI can be helpful.

Effective threat predictions, simple to deploy, and light on resources
Malwarebytes's initial setup is simple. It is easy to deploy and configure the policies and the configuration. I deployed Malwarebytes for one customer and I did it in under two days. They had approximately 50 users, it took approximately an hour. The steps I took for the implementation were downloading the Malwarebytes management console from the site, installing it, then running the discovery tool, scanning my network, and checking all of the PCs on my network. It's already pre-configured, you don't need to configure anything. The only configuration that I did on the administration console was some of the exclusion from the scan. This is the only rule that I have created. I rate the initial setup of Malwarebytes a ten out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product is a good standard security tool."
"The most valuable feature is the IDS."
"What I appreciate most about Bitdefender are its web content filtering, blocking malicious sites, and its ability to thwart brute force attacks on open ports."
"You will always have a backup copy of any policy the Bitdefender user defines."
"The product provides a single dashboard."
"I like its unified interface, which also helps you scan Outlook email, for example. Multiple products can be standardized across endpoints or the EDR solution, and the integrations with SIEMs."
"When it comes to the web, according to our customers, this product stands out due to its superior performance compared to others."
"I find Bitdefender to be very light. When we were using the other versions, users would complain that they would make the computers slow. But since we have deployed Bitdefender, we haven't had that."
"I never have to look at it or do anything with it, and then my system just stays clean."
"The most valuable feature is that it stops malware, which is important."
"The solution is very good at scanning."
"I was very satisfied with Malwarebytes in terms of its antivirus abilities."
"The dashboard actually is good and it is simple."
"Ten times a day, improved signatures will be downloaded, so it is very up-to-date in terms of malware experience."
"The product keeps our company safe."
"Being able to cloud manage it from just a cloud login is valuable. We can get to it from anywhere, which is really helpful. The fact that we can remediate from the cloud console is one of our favorite features."

Cons

"We had experienced a crash and had to reinstall it."
"The dashboard can be improved."
"At this point in time, the download footprint is a bit big. What I mean is the initial file I download to deploy on end-user devices is about six hundred to seven hundred megabytes, and it should be scaled down to an agent size of maybe less than one hundred megabytes, max."
"I like the Application Control feature, but it's a bit tricky. Managing it can be a bit cumbersome sometimes."
"The connection with the controller needs improvement. Some connections are currently unstable."
"The solution must be more user-friendly."
"The lack of detecting security threats and high memory usage need to be improved."
"Potential areas for improvement could be more accessible and immediate support for critical situations, especially considering the regulatory challenges in healthcare."
"The stability and performance of the solution are areas with shortcomings that need improvement."
"It would be better if updates could be downloaded, and deployed, on-premises to avoid low bandwidth causing issues."
"The free version is effective, however, the paid version is pricey compared to it."
"A solution must be installed in the main gateway to give an overview of the incoming and outgoing traffic. The technical support team's response time should be faster."
"Malwarebytes should improve its mobile compatibility."
"We had a little performance problem with the solution, but that's been resolved. Since then, it's been running well."
"We experience a lot of false positives."
"Malwarebytes is too simplistic. From a SOC IR perspective, it doesn't give you very much data around it. It doesn't tie things or provide SHA-1 and SHA-256 detection information, which makes it hard to do an additional investigation."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"You don't have to pay extra after buying the product."
"Good in terms of pricing and flexibility."
"We pay for an annual license which is affordable."
"In India, licensing is based on annual contracts. It's not extremely expensive, but not the cheapest either. I'd rate it somewhere around seven or eight out of ten."
"The general basic price is roughly $1.20 for a license with Bitdefender."
"Its price has gone up since our last renewal. My renewal fee has gone from $517.99 in 2018 for 3 years to $739.99 when it renews this year in July. I love the product, but a price increase of over 40% is a bit exorbitant."
"The license is yearly."
"We purchase the solution for three or five-year intervals. We paid approximately $150 for 10 to 15 users."
"The platform pricing is competitive with other antivirus products."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price and ten is a high price, I rate the product's pricing a seven."
"We expect to pay $1,000 USD a month, depending on the number of users."
"I believe the retail price is between $40 and $50 per copy."
"The cost may be something in the ballpark of $20-25 a year per computer."
"I rate the tool's pricing a five out of ten."
"Its cost is around $60 a machine. The cost of the total solution for 250 people is about $8,500 a year. If we add EDR to it, it will bring that cost up to about $15,000. The cost for Carbon Black is about $25,000, which is $10,000 more, but you get all AI functions with it."
"Yearly, it is around $50 per client."
