Ensures advanced AI-driven threat detection to provide robust endpoint security, effectively preventing both known and unknown threats with minimal impact on system performance
We integrate it into our comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, specifically for antivirus and antiviral purposes. CylancePROTECT provides comprehensive endpoint security, including EDR capabilities. Additionally, BlackBerry now offers XDR, similar to other companies like CrowdStrike and SentinelOne. The AI-driven threat detection of CylancePROTECT has significantly enhanced our organization's security posture. This company has pioneered an AI-based engine that doesn't rely on signatures, thus offering protection for every computer, server, and endpoint without requiring specific signatures for malware or other attacks. Cylance stands out for pioneering the delivery of a complete AI-driven antivirus engine that relies primarily, if not solely, on AI and machine learning for threat identification. Remarkably, it identifies over 99.7% of global threats.

Easy to setup, stable and good security use cases
I primarily use this solution for security.  I appreciate the good control it offers, which simplifies management. So, I feel confident using this solution. We need a more complete Mobile Device Management (MDM) system. I have been using Kaspersky for eight years. I use the latest version.  I…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"In most cases, the solution's ability to detect in the MITRE framework, and its ability to be able to detect attacks in any one of seven or eight different areas of the life cycle of an attack is very useful."
"One of the best features of the solution is that it's easy to deploy."
"On the management side, we liked the way it displays things."
"The most valuable feature of CylancePROTECT is the support."
"I like the AI and mathematical components that they use."
"The solution is extremely scalable. It's got the hybrid functionality, it's got the system functionality and cloud functionality as well."
"It secures different entry points into the network."
"You can manage all the threats and everything from a centralized dashboard."
"We're more familiar with Kaspersky's interface, and we find it more user-friendly. It also has more features than others, like with BitDefender and Mirco. The price is better, too."
"We swtiched to Kaspersky Endpoint Security because we found our previous solution did not meet our requirements."
"In EDR, they have a sandbox feature. Kaspersky's threat detection and response capability is very good, making it a strong feature."
"The tool's interface is good."
"Using dashboards, it is very easy to manage."
"Overall, the product is quite flexible."
"The blocking feature is the most valuable feature."
"Kaspersky includes web protection and user protection features. Web threat protection ensures that users are immediately protected whenever they browse the internet and encounter potentially harmful websites. This process helps safeguard users, and Kaspersky certifies websites to enhance the browsing experience."

Cons

"The solution’s technical support could be improved."
"It could have integration with industrial base HMIS or Human Machine Interfaces Solutions. This is the industrial environment where you have a control center for all the automation that's happening, whether it is oil, gas, or chemical manufacturing. They often have to set up a computer at the back and watch the other stuff to get alerts. In these autonomous or on-premises environments, they often don't have access to email readily. Integration with other industrial solutions, such as HMIS, will allow them to communicate and get an alert that something has been found. This way, they can react to it sooner than having somebody watch the screen and keep checking the screen. Rockwell has its own suite. Similarly, Honeywell has its own suite. There's also an independent HMI/historian solution provider out there called VTSCADA. We actually get asked if we can get it to show up on a screen, which is difficult. Getting those alerts to work within an industrial environment would be a huge plus."
"CylancePROTECT could be improved in its technical support and communication."
"It's a good solution but some features just need to be updated."
"The process of whitelisting a script that you want to be able to run can be a little bit difficult, or awkward."
"It is hard to manage."
"The solution should implement AI in the product."
"The product must make the interface a little more user-friendly."
"Malware protection for Kaspersky should be revolutionized, where they no longer work with signatures, but with more advanced ways of detecting malware, such as Cylance or Traps from Palo Alto."
"The initial setup is complex."
"It is expensive, it could be cheaper, so I think the solution's pricing could be better."
"I would like to see better reporting."
"The solution could improve by providing a cloud service that synchronizes with the on-premise console which would give better connectivity in remote areas."
"The threat intelligence features are not up to date."
"Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business could improve the flexibility of use."
"We are having some troubles because some American companies we work with don't want to work with Kaspersky."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"CylancePROTECT is worth the money, but I'm not sure of its exact price. I can't remember off the top of my head."
"The initial end-point cost may seem a little high (~$55/device/year) but when you look at the total peace of mind that the solution provides, with no reboots for updates, and negligible performance impact, it is well worth it."
"CylancePROTECT's pricing is reasonable, at about €18 per user, per year."
"It is expensive, but not unreasonable."
"The solution's pricing is around the same as most EDRs but slightly behind some of the major ones."
"The product cost is about $5, per user, per month."
"Review closely how many endpoints you actually need before buying into a pricing level. Deal and deal with the VAR of your choice."
"I think that the price we are paying is good for what it is."
"Licensing fees are paid annually."
"I received a very good deal with Kaspersky."
"The price of this solution is affordable and there is only a standard license required."
"The licensing is based per agent. You can get discounts if you have more agents."
"I think the price of this solution is good."
"Licensing fees are paid on a yearly basis."
"The licensing cost can be about $1,300 per year."
"The cost of the solution is approximately $31,000 for three years."
