When a support ticket is submitted, it directly reaches someone with Intune support expertise.
When I contacted Microsoft, they had the same expertise, if not more, which is phenomenal because I felt heard and my problem was solved.
Sometimes, the support provided is excellent, and the representative is knowledgeable, while other times, the service needs improvement.
Fortinet's support has proven to be reliable, particularly as we've been engaged with them since the project's initiation.
They are responsive and resolve issues quickly when I raise a ticket.
The level of support for P2 and P1 is wonderful.

Sentiment score
7.1
BMC TrueSight Network Automation is highly scalable with minor challenges, rated 7-8/10 by users. Improvements are still needed.
Sentiment score
7.4
Fortinet FortiManager is scalable and efficient for large environments, with some hardware management limitations but satisfactory overall.
The scalability of Microsoft Intune is ten out of ten.
Ideally, we want to automatically segregate devices based on user properties like primary use, but currently, dynamic groups seem limited to device properties.
It supports organizations with 200 endpoints and those with more than 15,000 endpoints.
You can raise the capacity as you go, and there is no limit for hardware.
If you are working with a private or public cloud, it is very scalable.
The problem is cloud connectivity and roaming profiles are not working, as there is no option for them.

Stability Issues

Sentiment score
7.4
Microsoft Intune is rated highly for stability and reliability, with few minor update or sync issues reported by users.
Sentiment score
6.6
BMC TrueSight Network Automation is stable but requires proper planning; some users report performance and UI issues, needing restarts.
Sentiment score
7.9
Fortinet FortiManager is highly stable and reliable, with minor bugs that don't significantly impact its performance.
We have not experienced downtime, bugs, or glitches.
Microsoft Intune has been very stable.
A couple of years ago, the performance was not as good as it is now, but there are noticeable backend improvements.
I rate the solution's stability ten out of ten.
95% of the time, there are no problems interacting with other devices.

Room For Improvement

Microsoft Intune faces issues with detail, flexibility, integration, navigation, support, pricing, compatibility, documentation, reporting, and policy synchronization.
Users recommend new features, cloud adapters, more hardware support, single sign-on, interface improvements, and better performance with affordable pricing.
Fortinet FortiManager needs improvement in ease of use, pricing, support, documentation, integration, stability, scalability, and traffic visibility.
Features like unlocking devices sometimes fail, and the support offered for other operating systems is insufficient.
There are communication issues, so you might start working with a feature without knowing if it will be deprecated six months from now.
Many third-party companies offer single-pane-of-glass reporting that shows you what your update environment looks like, how your patch is doing, application status, etc., but Intune's reporting is not intuitive.
FortiManager is a good tool, but there is a lack of really advanced documentation.
If you have a couple thousand policies for FortiGate firewalls, it can take a few minutes to receive a response from the remote devices.
In such cases, their CPE or other devices on-site may become unreliable, leading to occasional configuration discrepancies.

Setup Cost

Microsoft Intune pricing is competitive, often bundled with Microsoft 365, offering cost-effective solutions despite potential licensing complexity.
BMC TrueSight Network Automation is costlier than competitors but is considered worth the investment and rated nine out of ten.
Fortinet FortiManager pricing is generally reasonable, especially for larger deployments, offering cost-effectiveness compared to competitors.
Introductory professional services, like a fast-track service, were included with our E5 membership, and there have been no additional costs.
The Intune suite and add-ons, such as batch management and remote help, are costly.
It costs approximately forty euros per user per month.
Fortinet has the best pricing currently on the market.
It isn't the most expensive solution.
It's neither cheap nor expensive.

Valuable Features

Microsoft Intune excels with Azure integration, streamlined device management, and robust security, enhancing control and compliance across platforms.
BMC TrueSight Network Automation excels in network security, OS updates, reporting, compliance management, and maintaining equipment availability.
Fortinet FortiManager centralizes management, automates deployments, and enhances security with features like SD-WAN orchestration and cloud synchronization.
Intune excels in configuration and compliance management for Windows 10, ensuring devices receive timely updates and adhere to organizational standards.
Dynamic groups allow us to set conditions for automatic membership, eliminating the need for user intervention or manual review and ensuring a seamless workflow.
Windows Autopatch is the most valuable because it removes the burden of patch management.
I can automate the installation of configurations using different programming languages like Python or HPE, and it's a GUI solution, so it's pretty easy to use, even for basic users.
Without FortiManager, you cannot manage a complex environment across several sites with multiple firewalls.
Setup, setting policies, and reporting were all very easy.

Enables management of multiple operating systems with a single license
The best feature is that it's a Microsoft product, so if anything goes wrong, we get quick support for anything required. Remote system functionality allows us to sit anywhere and take control of any device via remote management. We can enhance security for clients' laptops with built-in Microsoft Defender, which is available with the Microsoft Intune license. We use it for reporting purposes through endpoint analytics. When pushing scripting, there are two types available: remediation script and reservation script. Through endpoint analytics, you can push defender policies to clients. It helps with reporting, inventory updates, and monitoring tenant status health.

Enables us to configure our network easily and get the most out of it
BMC TrueSight Network Automation transforms manual configuration tasks for network devices, which are complex and vary among different OEMs. With this tool, you can manage and control all new and old devices, ensuring they meet configuration needs. It provides updates on Cisco devices, and if any data is missing, you can generate it using a formula. I recommend BMC TrueSight Network Automation from the network side, as it provides excellent visibility and configuration management for vulnerabilities. The implementation requirements are certainly at level two. Overall, I rate the solution a seven out of ten.

Manage multiple devices with ease but experience complexity in deployment and limited AI features
I use Fortinet FortiManager to manage multiple devices in a single location. Although it does not provide a security posture itself, it depends on the firewall policies and settings in their respective firewalls. Fortinet FortiManager is primarily meant for the management of devices Fortinet…
