Useful to monitor and track any suspicious activities
I rate the tool's deployment ease as five out of ten. In our situation, our team doesn't understand what it means to configure your solution properly. Because in the end, if any security solution isn't configured correctly, it won't provide optimal protection. So, it's very clear that we need to balance the gaps in our team's skills and what the vendors can do to cover those gaps for us. The tool's agents are deployed on-premises and connect to a very secure API to a cloud console. From the cloud console, you start managing and controlling the workstation configurations. Deployment took a few days because it included extensive orientation for our team members.

Helps users keep track of everything from one place
The most valuable features of the solution stem from the fact that we can track all of it in one place across all those different locations. Because it's cloud-based and reports up to the cloud, we also have access to the back end, and an incident response team monitors all incidents. We also have an escalation process in place. From my perspective, there are other pieces of CrowdStrike that the security architect team uses as well, but I don't get involved with those as much. I usually just wait for the end results or the notification if I need to get involved if there is an incident.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"One of the most valuable features is its around-the-clock, 365-day-a-year online technical support."
"The product is fairly new compared to others like Trend Micro or Symantec. However, it offers sophisticated features, especially in scanning and analyzing activities on workstations or servers. It can prevent malicious operations from spreading to other applications or the network. This feature is particularly effective because it operates at the IO level, unlike behavior or signature analysis used by other products. It contains threats and alerts administrators about whether they are false positives or real threats that need immediate action or support recommendations."
"CrowdStrike Falcon Complete provides complete details of any malicious activity, including the impact date and file source."
"The overwatch module is the most valuable feature of CrowdStrike Falcon."
"Falcon's threat intel is strong, and the solution allows our customers to automate their site intelligence. We can integrate Falcon X with the other platforms we use, like FireEye, Insight, Cybertech, and Kaspersky."
"Their intelligence is really good. The security whitepapers that they write are outstanding. They handle it all for the clients. CrowdStrike Complete is managed by CrowdStrike. They only call a client if there is a problem that they can't address. They pretty much contain and eradicate. This is not something that every vendor provides."
"It is a stable solution."
"Its machine learning and AI features are good."
"It is a major anti-malware solution. It can stop zero-day attacks and ransomware attacks. There are so many features in CrowdStrike. Falcon Overwatch is a valuable module. It is lightweight on the endpoints. It doesn't have any scanning mechanism. It works on artificial intelligence, static analysis, and dynamic analysis. There is no signature available on this. It is a pretty easy solution. It is cloud-based, so there is no driver maintenance or anything like that. You can go anywhere in the world. If you have internet, you'll get connected to the cloud and the policies that it contains. It is pretty simple."
"It has good security features."

Cons

"They should consider adopting the desktop version as a solution."
"I think having a higher level of MDR would be beneficial, although it's quite expensive. This would involve not just monitoring the network but also taking actions to stop and detect threats. We haven't implemented this yet, but we're considering it for our organization's plans."
"It would be nice to have full-scale ESR reporting."
"CrowdStrike Falcon Complete could improve by having advanced features, such as SOC, and HDR. There would have been a lot of processes involved."
"CrowdStrike Falcon Complete could improve the threat visibility and have remediated vulnerabilities that they find."
"We have also been using Cisco AMP for Endpoints for three years. We have received multiple detections in Cisco AMP for Endpoints, and we had to take some actions, whereas CrowdStrike has not detected anything critical since it has been implemented. Most of the incidents that it has detected are false positives. They should work on the false-positive issue. When it is implemented throughout the organization, it gets very difficult to check each false positive and investigate what is correct and what is not correct. It requires technical and manual intervention."
"This solution is lacking in a recovery feature. If there is a full compromise, this product can't recover the machine, which results in us having to rebuild the entire system."
"All of our customers complain about the reporting and say that it is very poor."
"It should be integrated with AI and ML."
"I would like to see CrowdStrike Falcon Complete XDR integrate more effectively with other technologies."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing falls within the moderate range."
"The tool's pricing is high compared to other products. If you want to target a certain quantity, it should provide discounts to enterprises."
"There is a license for this solution and everything is included. However, The price of the could be lower."
"Its price is very high. CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is 50% more expensive than Cisco AMP for Endpoints."
"The licensing cost for CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is fair, and I would give it a five out of five. You have to pay per device/user."
"Falcon Complete isn't too pricy."
"The pricing is a little bit expensive for our region."
"While CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is expensive, it offers great features and functionality."
"They are really reasonable for the services they are providing. When you add more endpoints, you are going to pay more for the license."
"There is an annual subscription."
