Easy to set up with good behavior-based analysis but needs a single-click recovery option
Most organizations are currently looking for a scheduled scan to meet their compliance needs. Other players like Symantec and Trend Micro, FireEye, et cetera, are still providing the signature-based regular scheduled scans also, which is not available in CrowdStrike. That is one parameter that we feel should be there in CrowdStrike. CrowdStrike is only working on the dynamic or the files under execution. CrowdStrike is not scanning the static files. The product could be more accurate in terms of performance. We'd like to have a single-click recovery option. With some machines getting corrupted by malware, we need an easy way to start with a blank slate if things happen. That one feature should be there in the EDR.

Easy to deploy, scalable, but the UI needs work
We use the solution for LLC merchants, threat advisories, and research The solution is adding a more contextually rich and higher fidelity enrichment to our IOCs. Integration is the most valuable feature. The web front end of the UI is a bit clunky and has room for improvement. I would like a…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The anomaly detection is the most valuable feature."
"CrowdStrike Falcon's most valuable features are the lightweight agent which has absolutely zero performance issues. There is no performance deterioration on the laptop on the network. It is a signature-less antivirus and anti-malware solution, it doesn't depend on signatures which better protects the systems."
"It has definitely minimized resources. When everything was on-prem, there was a lot more work maintaining it. One of the big value tickets: I don't have lists of hundreds of exceptions for certain applications that I have to maintain, add, delete, and move. The very nature of the product has lessened my workload considerably."
"Overall, what I found most valuable in CrowdStrike Falcon is its good mechanism. It also has a good reporting feature. CrowdStrike Falcon is an invaluable tool because, through it, you can take quick action, for example, when an OS is missing specific patches."
"The features we showcase to potential customers are prevention, malware protection, zero-day protection, and application scripting. Vulnerability assessment is another valuable feature."
"The stability is good; we haven't experienced any glitches or bugs."
"The CrowdStrike Falcon dashboard is good, and we haven't had any problems with it."
"We have seen a reduction to the performance hit to our operating systems."
"Integration is the most valuable feature."

Cons

"They respond quickly on the weekdays, but the weekend response times are slower."
"CrowdStrike should add support for ransomware protection."
"We can do a threat analysis of any machine at any time, but that threat analysis is very limited."
"Support, particularly related to after-sales and after deployment, could be improved a bit. If you need to connect to support, it takes at least a day to reach the support team and get a proper reply."
"CrowdStrike Falcon could improve the logs by making them free to the API."
"I'm concerned about the recent issue that involved a faulty update."
"We sometimes get false positives."
"As the company has grown, the technical support has felt less personal."
"I would like a more universal search."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"As I'm part of the technical team, not the budgeting team, I don't have information on CrowdStrike Falcon pricing."
"The price of CrowdStrike Falcon is reasonable."
"The price of CrowdStrike Falcon could be better. It is very expensive, we pay approximately $900 per month for the licenses. There are not any additional fees."
"We are on an annual subscription for the solution. There are not any additional costs."
"It has an annual license, and it is not that expensive."
"The price is fixed with no room for negotiation."
"With respect to pricing, my suggestion to others is to evaluate the environment and purchase what you need."
"Our company pays approximately US$ 65,000 annually for 900 machines."
