Easy to set up with good behavior-based analysis but needs a single-click recovery option
Most organizations are currently looking for a scheduled scan to meet their compliance needs. Other players like Symantec and Trend Micro, FireEye, et cetera, are still providing the signature-based regular scheduled scans also, which is not available in CrowdStrike. That is one parameter that we feel should be there in CrowdStrike. CrowdStrike is only working on the dynamic or the files under execution. CrowdStrike is not scanning the static files. The product could be more accurate in terms of performance. We'd like to have a single-click recovery option. With some machines getting corrupted by malware, we need an easy way to start with a blank slate if things happen. That one feature should be there in the EDR.

Easy to deploy, scalable, but the UI needs work
We use the solution for LLC merchants, threat advisories, and research The solution is adding a more contextually rich and higher fidelity enrichment to our IOCs. Integration is the most valuable feature. The web front end of the UI is a bit clunky and has room for improvement. I would like a…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"EDR is effective in CrowdStrike."
"The key aspect of CrowdStrike Falcon is its behavioral detection approach."
"The stability is good; we haven't experienced any glitches or bugs."
"The solution is silent and sits on your system as one single agent."
"It's given me a level of confidence that my network is secure."
"There are two things which customers really like about CrowdStrike. If they buy managed services from CrowdStrike, it offers them detection of security issues in one minute. If you buy their professional services, they offer insurance where you can claim up to $5 million if there's a breach. This is a huge upsell for customers."
"Probably the most valuable thing to me is the real-time response piece. The fact that I can connect to an endpoint as long as it is on the Internet, no matter where it is globally. I can remove files from the endpoint, drop files on the endpoint, stop processes, reboot it, run custom scripts, and deploy software. Pretty much no other tool can do all that."
"It helps us to identify the threats according to the behavior of any process that is running on any particular system. It helps immensely to identify any malicious behavior on any endpoints."
"Integration is the most valuable feature."

Cons

"CrowdStrike Falcon could improve by adding manual scanning or serverless scanning. It is not available at this time."
"I would like to see equal support across all versions. Aside from that, I would say most of the features are there."
"The detection time has room for improvement."
"The product could be more accurate in terms of performance."
"The KDR solution is immature. They do not have much preemption in ITDR. Threat prevention should be their first priority, and false positive reductions are needed."
"They need to strengthen the forensic capabilities of this product, for e-discovery."
"The console is not user-friendly or visually appealing and has room for improvement."
"To simplify the budgeting process for our clients, CrowdStrike should consider offering bundled packages that include essential features."
"I would like a more universal search."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The licensing model is straightforward. We choose the features we want and we then can download the package we want."
"It's an expensive solution but you get a very good product for the price. Compared to other products, SentinelOne is definitely cheaper and the Microsoft E5 package is probably more expensive. Not many companies are willing to purchase CrowdStrike Falcon in Turkey due to the cost, but the market is changing."
"Pricing and licensing seem to be in line with what they offer. We are a smaller organization, so pricing is important. Obviously, we would make a business case if it is something we really needed or felt that we needed. So, the pricing is in line with what we are getting from a product standpoint."
"CrowdStrike Falcon's price is good."
"The price is high in comparison to similar brands."
"The cost of CrowdStrike Falcon could be reduced. It is quite expensive if you compare it to other solutions, such as Blue Coat, Symantec, McAfee, or Kaspersky."
"It has an annual license, and it is not that expensive."
"The price of CrowdStrike Falcon is reasonable."
