Boosted productivity with automated pipelines and seamless collaboration
There are some challenges with repository file management as GitLab may struggle to manage larger files. Improvements could be made regarding size management and file partitioning. Also, the UI has remained the same for a couple of years and could benefit from an update with AI features and better customization.

"GitLab integrates well with other platforms."
"The CI/CD pipeline with Helm has significantly improved deployment speed and efficiency."
"The solution makes the CI/CD pipelines easy to execute."
"The tool helps to integrate CI/CD pipeline deployments. It is very easy to learn. Its security model is good."
"Key features allow creation of well-presented Wiki that includes ideas, development, and domains."
"The most valuable functionality of GitLab, for me, is the DevOps. Besides the normal source control based on Git, I find the Auto DevOps features most important in the solution."
"GitLab's source control is excellent."
"Trend Micro Cloud App is easy to use and easy to install."
"The initial setup is pretty straightforward."
"It has more intelligence features than other vendors."
"Dependable with ease of integration with other security products."
"Our business emails are very important and Trend Micro Cloud App Security has provided a high level of protection. Additionally, there are updating the solution frequently."
"The solution is easy to integrate."
"I find Trend Micro Cloud App Security useful for scanning our email boxes. We can scan them one by one, which is a good feature. It's not just gateway-level protection - we integrate the email system with it. They have special protection and parameters for phishing emails."
"The most valuable feature of Trend Micro Cloud App Security is its stability across all platforms."

Cons

"When deploying the solution on cloud and the CI/CD pipeline, we have to define the steps and it becomes confusing."
"GitLab's UI could be improved."
"It would be better if there weren't any outages. There are occasions where we usually see a lot of outages using GitLab. It happens at least once a week or something like that. Whatever pipelines you're running, to check the logs, you need to have a different set of tools like Argus or something like that. If you have pipelines running on GitLab, you need a separate service deployed to view the logs, which is kind of a pain. If the logs can be used conveniently on GitLab, that would be definitely helpful. I'm not talking about the CI/CD pipelines but the back-end services and microservices deployed over GitLab. To view the logs for those microservices, you need to have separate log viewers, which is kind of a pain."
"We'd always like to see better pricing on the product."
"It would be really good if they integrated more features in application security."
"I would like to see security increased in the future. A secure environment is very important."
"We would like to generate document pages from the sources."
"It has fewer options, and its UI is not so user-friendly."
"There is room for improvement in the DLP component of Trend Micro Cloud App Security."
"The solution's technical support services could be better."
"It would be great if Trend Mail Cloud App Security would be joined with a web security solution, making it a multiple-network solution."
"The granulation of the policy setup needs to be better. Right now, it is too basic."
"Documentation could be improved; product cost is quite high."
"The price of the solution could improve by being lower."
"They should provide separate corporate-level licenses for two to three instances."
"For improvements, I think it would be great if Trend Micro Cloud App Security could enhance their product to be a single SASE solution. It should be similar to competitors like Palo Alto."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"In total, I believe we have more than 300 licenses spread over about 100 users, though I can't comment on the costs involved."
"The open-source version is very good and the commercial version is reasonably priced."
"Regarding pricing, I would rate GitLab as moderately priced, maybe around a seven or eight out of ten. It could be more flexible for clients but generally offers good value."
"I think that we pay approximately $100 USD per month."
"This product is not very expensive but the price can be better."
"The solution is based on a subscription model and is reasonably priced."
"The price of GitLab could be better, it is expensive."
"We are using its free version, and we are evaluating its Premium version. Its Ultimate version is very expensive."
"The pricing of the solution could be better."
"The solution's price is mid-ranged."
"The price of Trend Micro Cloud App Security is expensive for regular users. There are not any hidden fees. First-time users of the solution should purchase implementation packages or professional services."
"The cost of the license is on the high side. It's a yearly subscription."
"The product's pricing is reasonable compared to other vendors."
