Improves network security with micro-segmentation but setup is complex
I value the ability to dynamically configure our network on the fly using VMware NSX. This flexibility is a huge advantage because it allows us to avoid static configurations that come with traditional hardware setups. Additionally, the micro-segmentation feature is beneficial for adhering to strict security regulations from our security department.

"CloudHive offers benefits through its solution architecture, providing high reliability and easy integration with third-party systems."
"To be able to do the DR and SRM migrations from datacenter to datacenter, we're able to do them with SRM with VXLAN, with the NSX product."
"The dashboard is comprehensive and easy to use."
"The most valuable features are security and dynamic routing."
"The most valuable feature of VMware NSX is the ease of use and its user friendly. For example, it is simple to change the subnet masks."
"Over the last two years, they've enhanced a lot, especially in regard to integration with OpenStack."
"I really like the management dashboard, the tailor-made assurance, the telemetry, and the ease of integration with all other solutions of VMware, such as vSphere."
"The most valuable features are its security aspects, especially the IPS and IDS for intrusion detection and protection."
"NSX helps us by making IT management and operations more efficient. When VMs spin off from the DC to the DR site, all required settings on the network level are handled automatically."

Cons

"While the solution is comprehensive, there could be potential for adding AI features like traffic analysis and attack analysis automation to enhance functionality."
"If there are other solutions already in place, it can be difficult to implement."
"The solution is quite complex. You need to keep your thinking cap on and know what you are doing: Go to the training and listen to the solution architects when they come in because they have a lot of knowledge."
"We have done three installations and we have not had any critical issues. The time it took for the installation was approximately two days. However, they should provide better documentation."
"The engineering team has room for improvement. They should have have more of a Knowledge Base about different case studies and should develop more advanced features. These kinds of improvements will change the way things get done."
"We have been satisfied with the technical support. They were able to solve our problems. However, they could be faster."
"I would rate NSX's stability eight out of ten - there's room for improvement."
