Integration tools streamline financial operations and enhance data management
The most beneficial feature in Workato is its accessibility. The interface is easily understandable even for a common user, unlike the NetSuite ERP direct website which requires more technical knowledge. In Workato, NetSuite ERP provides options for new employee records, invoice reports, and batch files processing. The batch processing capability allows handling up to 10,000 records simultaneously, which reduces tasks and processing time significantly. Regarding scalability, NetSuite ERP offers excellent options and reduces manual interventions through automation. In the past three months, I have observed improvements in their options and data storage capabilities, showing enhanced scalability compared to previous versions.

Zuora Developer at a tech services company with 10,001+ employees
Streamlines subscription billing and workflows but has needed clearer docs and lower certification costs
I do not focus on Zuora revenue recognition features. Zuora's documentation from the knowledge center is somewhat complicated and should be simplified for beginner-level users who are ready to learn. Sandbox features and workflow settings need enhancement. Zuora's integration can be tricky. With hands-on experience, understanding where features are located makes the process automatic. Without hands-on experience, integration takes considerable time. Although the integration is smooth, it depends heavily on hands-on experience. Providing exact pricing figures for Zuora is challenging because it uses a tiered structure with standard plans. Zuora should improve access to premium support and add-on modules with standard and professional plans by creating easier, balanced feature models. I typically participate in Zuora's initial setup and deployment.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution is pretty easy to use and navigate, and it's more of a lightweight software."
"First of all, it's really easy to use."
"We can install the bundles based on our needs."
"NetSuite is a better value than some competing solutions. The fee structure is simpler, and other ERP solutions don't offer as many options for configuration."
"I would say that the solution is highly configurable."
"The product is very flexible and can adjust to the customer's needs."
"I became a real fan of NetSuite due to the fact that it's very easy to use and it's very easy to configure from the implementer side."
"The most valuable aspect of NetSuite ERP is the multi-subsidiary portion, it is the strongest across all the other ERPs."
"These features are valuable because it has allowed the billing functionality to be fully operationalized. This allows us to refocus our energy on optimizing our recurring revenue streams outside of just basic billing."
"Currently, I feel Zuora is in a very good position, and I do not think there is a better alternative."
"What I like best about the tool is it's user-friendly, especially when checking accounts and subscriptions. You can see all the details, like consumer-created subscriptions, invoice details, and the ability to create and remove rate plans."
"I like the automated bill generation feature."
"It has made billing a reliable business function and provided the structure needed to optimize all of our billing processes."
"Zuora is an end-to-end solution that handles orders, payments, and licensing. Its robust billing engine manages all billing aspects, including debit memos. Zuora's rate plan charges offer the flexibility needed in the subscription business, allowing for easy product configuration."
"Automated invoicing is great and makes the process easier than it was five years ago."
"The tool's most valuable aspect is its evolution. When I first worked on it, it was a simple platform that handled accounts and basic invoicing. Over the years, I've seen many changes that have enabled it to support complex projects. The help desk now provides solutions for these projects, which wasn't initially possible. The most important thing about Zuora is its ability to handle complexity through workflows, essentially automating the invoicing process."

Cons

"The solution could be more stable."
"I would like to see improvement around the Revenue Recognition module. Right now, several templates are there, but they are either too complicated, or they are difficult to configure, from a company finance perspective."
"An area for improvement in NetSuite ERP is its accounting functionality because it has certain limitations."
"An area for improvement in NetSuite ERP is its accounting functionality because it has certain limitations. You can't maintain sub-ledgers or post accrued expenses in sub-ledger forms, so you'll need to post in journals. The pricing is another area that can be improved in NetSuite ERP because the pricing was lower when it wasn't part of Oracle, but after Oracle acquired Netsuite and NetSuite ERP was offered as a cloud service, the price went up."
"If you do go through an implementor, you need to be careful that they are actual implementors and not just resellers."
"In terms of the main improvement to NetSuite is the talent itself. It's grown so fast and there are about 25,000 companies running on it, and it's a relatively newer system compared to other competitors. It's growing so fast that the talent base in the partner organization (there's about 200 of them), is pretty thin."
"The manufacturing and planning side could be improved. That part isn't up to date. NetSuite could be easier to integrate in general."
"There is a lot of room for improvement. Multiple manufacturing features need to be updated on NetSuite. More functionalities need to be added. I think there are a lot of functionalities coming out for warehouse management systems and manufacturing automation via advanced manufacturing functionalities. I think they need to improve a little more on those aspects and make it easier on the scheduling aspect."
"Very rarely, maybe once every two months, the platform might be slow for a day or two. We usually receive notifications about these issues, which seem to stem from connectivity errors or similar issues."
"The data structure within Zuora is a bit rigid. It doesn't support many things, like subqueries or correlation queries and all that."
"The documentation that has been provided exists, but it is not particularly useful."
"Unlike Zoho, the main page doesn't contain everything. You have to click a button to reveal multiple options; even within those, there are further layers of options to navigate through."
"It would benefit from more features designed to recoup revenue in B2C scenarios."
"I believe the pricing is quite high for some companies using Zuora."
"Zuora is stable, but we have observed some latency issues quarterly."
"We feel the deployment and version comparison process could be easier when switching between different systems."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Pricing for NetSuite ERP is okay, but it could be better. The licensing model for NetSuite ERP is based on the number of modules and users. The standard license covers up to twenty-five users. If you have more than twenty-five users, you'll have to buy the premium license, which would double the price. For one module with five user licenses, the cost is between $40,000 to $50,000."
"The price of the solution is quite high."
"It is expensive."
"When people buy ERP, it's a competitive situation and the pricing is paramount."
"The price is less than the cost of daily hours."
"It is completely on a subscription basis. We pay yearly and, and you do not have to do anything on a monthly basis. Prices depend on the organization's scale and all those things, but they are doing a good job with the pricing."
"There is an annual license required to use this solution."
"I would advise that you first meet with and scope out your project with a NetSuite VAR (Value Added Reseller)."
"Negotiate aggressively. Continue to push on cost until you feel comfortable."
"Explore multiple options for implementation."
"The solution is worth the price."
"The tiered pricing model is costly."
