Easy setup and an a la carte pricing model
The solution needs a more modern interface. One of our biggest complaints is that we don't have the ability to dynamically push our interface to participants. Adobe Connect is an older technology, but it allows us to push our own layout and design to participants. One of the solution's strengths is that it's web-only but that is also a weakness. It is not a software solution but is browser-based which has its advantages and disadvantages. Zoom has become such a force that its ease of use surpasses ON24.

Has delivered consistent performance but would benefit from a more flexible licensing model
Webex is a fine, perfectly adequate product, and I don't see any room for improvement. From when I last implemented it, I found the price to be expensive. The licensing model doesn't work because if I want to implement it for an organization, I need to pay a per-user license, which makes it very restrictive. They should probably reconsider the licensing model to be less restrictive and more adaptable for organizational use.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Friendly user interface and simple navigation."
"The solution works well with third-party integrations."
"Screen share is the most valuable feature."
"The chat and meeting scheduling features in Webex are most valuable for our team's productivity."
"The best feature is to be able to share the screen or just some application we want, even a video or audio, then request the remote control of the device with which they have connected."
"Cisco is a pioneer in this particular technology. The features and technology have been adopted and they have been integrated with other solutions."
"The video quality is good."
"They have a feature called Call Me in which I need to type in my phone number and I can get a conference room to call my number rather than needing to dial in every time. I think that's a quite good feature."
"Webex offers a wide range of useful features."
"It is user-friendly."

Cons

"Bandwidth optimization could be increased."
"The solution needs a more modern interface."
"Everybody these days uses virtual meeting solutions because we're all remote working. It would be a benefit if there were permanent collaboration spaces for projects. For example, the way Teams has its teams folders and shared locations. Webex is missing that feature, or maybe it has it and I'm not aware of it. However, it needs a permanent sharing location for when projects can get stored and can be a collaboration space as opposed to only a meeting space."
"I would like to see the addition of new features that will add value to the product."
"Sometimes the call quality is not that great. When you call in, especially in an international situation, or if you have people calling from different continents or geographical locations, there can be issues with the call itself."
"There could be a feature available to record the meetings."
"In terms of features, it would be beneficial for Webex to focus on improving its chat functionality to make it more user-friendly. Additionally, enhancing communication operations to create a friendlier user experience would be advantageous. Other individuals who have tried using it faced challenges when attempting to share content with third parties during conversations or meetings."
"Greater visibility beyond infrastructure metrics would be beneficial. We could leverage insights into business performance indicators as well. I believe that incorporating more predictive capabilities into Webex for the next version would be beneficial."
"The performance of WebEx could be improved. If you're using it on a mobile device and on the laptop, you sometimes get glitches, where you've answered the call or joined a meeting on a laptop and your mobile device doesn't quite know what's going on. It may just be technical glitches, but it seems to be a bit shaky sometimes on mobile devices."
"Currently, I'm unable to find any loophole in Webex, but in terms of areas for improvement, it would be better if a user is informed about any new updates or new features added to the tool."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We paid $1,800 for five webinars, which is the standard fee. If you require support there is a $300 additional fee, extra attendees is an additional fee, integration is an additional fee, etc. All these extras could add on another $2,500 which was not in our budget."
"Webex is a cheaply priced tool."
"There are licenses for business to use the solution but for end-users, there is not."
"I use the solution for free because I don't use the solution's enterprise version."
"Price is the one area where Webex needs to improve relative to its competitors. It's difficult to sell to small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) because of the license price."
"Webex is very expensive."
"My organization took care of the licensing. I'm guessing they did some subscription cycle, but I used the free version."
"The tool is expensive."
"I am using the free version of Webex."
