"It can prevent copying and encoding of HTTP data to various sites like Google, and Webex."
"What I like about Symantec Data Loss Prevention is the technical support it provides. It's good."

"The data matching features are the most valuable due to the easy policy setup and implementation."
"What we like about Symantec Data Loss Prevention is that it's a very good product. We never faced any problems with its performance. It has very good performance. There was this RAM issue, but it was an internal issue which we've sorted out. Apart from the RAM issue, there are no other issues with Symantec Data Loss Prevention."
"The solution's initial setup process was straightforward."
"I'm not an administrator of Trend Micro Integrated Data Loss Prevention, but an end-user, and what I like about it is that it can detect events that could cause data loss. It's a good solution."

"Different departments should manage administration, reporting, normalization and incident management."
"The deployment is complex."
"We're not sure if there was an issue or a bug on the system recently because as of right now if someone sends out a compressed encrypted file, the DLP won't scan it."
"The upgrade process is convoluted. The server and database software must run in line with third-party providers like the Oracle database. If an Oracle database reaches the end of its life, then servers must be decommissioned, and you need to bring new servers online. When the maintenance packages are deployed to the management server, they don't get pushed to the detection servers. Each detection server must be manually installed rather than automatically made from a single server. If it's a large enterprise, you need to manually install it or use a GPO or some other technology, which I never use."
"Since being acquired by Broadcom, the support has really degraded for small and medium enterprises."
"That fine tuning has to be done for the customer as well as the vendor. So if I take Symantec DLP, we have to have some final fine tuning but we may need some time developing this depending on the customer. This is an area where something can be done to improve the product."
"What could be improved in Symantec Data Loss Prevention is its security. It should be more secure."
"The tool should improve its reporting functionality. We need a proper reporting feature in a DLP solution."
"Typically, DLP solutions do not cover emails without an additional component, which necessitates a dual-service proposal. Comparatively, on-premises deployments offer more features locally than online or remote deployments, which sometimes face challenges with feature support. This is a common issue with Trend."
"Trend Micro Integrated Data Loss Prevention is buggy, which is one area for improvement. I also found Trend Micro Integrated Data Loss Prevention support horrible, so that's another area for improvement."
"Needs a remote login option."
"The solution could use better logging in the future."
"Being able to specify an agent list, or client list, to allow support from outside of the organization, would be of benefit to this solution."
"Having more features apart from what the product was designed for is what I'd like to see in its next release."
"Within the solution, many of the functions do not perform as intended...It is not a stable solution...It is not a scalable solution."
