It could be improved on the user-friendly side. Our clients are still building, they are beginners now. So that's the thing. They are developing day by day. I think now they have given OCI simple storage space.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure stands out due to its exceptional performance and advanced technology. The progress and innovation demonstrated by Oracle are truly impressive and exceed my expectations. OCI's capabilities are remarkable, and it is challenging to identify any weaknesses. One noteworthy aspect is OCI's ability to integrate seamlessly with other cloud platforms, offering unparalleled flexibility. Unlike other clouds that limit service provision solely within their ecosystem, OCI allows customers to interact with various cloud environments, including in-house servers. This interoperability extends to significant competitors like Azure, providing users with unmatched connectivity options. In summary, OCI sets a high standard in the cloud industry, and I am grateful for its capabilities. While OCI provides a solid foundation with its existing analytics and data warehousing tools, businesses often have unique needs that require tailored solutions. While Oracle offers great tools for developers, data scientists, and AI enthusiasts, there's a need for further customization to unlock the platform's full potential. Compared to other vendors, Oracle stands out with its AI, analytics, and data management offerings. Still, additional expertise and customization can help businesses maximize their OCI investment and achieve their goals.
The solution's reporting part is not good and needs more development. We get unpredictable errors when we use it. OIC needs to be developed because it is limited. For example, you can't make huge data migrations and data integrations with it. It is hard to make a report because you can't use an SQL browser. All the other third-party products are not free, and you need to pay for them. Using Oracle's internal reporting solution for running SQL statements is a waste of time.

In the region where I work, there's a perception that it's too expensive. I believe pricing is a crucial area that needs assessment. They should consider improving the pricing strategy to make it more appealing and effective, especially to attract new customers and buyers in this region.

The product needs to increase its possibilities to have a dynamic dashboard and the capacity to improve to create some reports. The solution's structure for me is very quite old, making it hard for me to create a dynamic dashboard. In general, the dynamic dashboard and reporting capacity are areas in the product that need improvement. The product's technical support is an area with shortcomings that need improvement. I need to spend a lot of time on the product's documentation to find the product's usability and capacity. Though I don't contact the support team directly, I end up spending a lot of time on the support provided in the product's manual to find the use cases for which the solution is suitable.

The solution does not follow a retention policy while taking ad hoc backups. Since it does not follow the retention policy, we had to do the manual task to check the backups.

One improvement that would be helpful is the addition of a replication option on their Standard Edition OD service. Currently, this option is not available, which leads many customers to move to the Enterprise edition. However, other cloud service providers, such as Amazon AWS offer replication options at a similar tier. It would be beneficial if Oracle also explored providing this option for their Standard Edition service.
The billing and right sizing for optimization of your cost in the cloud, a well architected frame. An article should be done as soon as possible to improve it. The framework from AWS is so good, I would like to see this feature in OCI.

It isn't easy to get qualified people who know how to work on this tool. All my administrators are learning as they go. Since this is the only cloud solution provider in Saudi Arabia, and it has only been around for one year, I am sure that this will change with time.
We have a lot of challenges with OCI because we need to build functions in the application. In my data center, if we have problems we change it in the cloud so part of the applications changes making it very complicated. In our system, we have some private dates and we need to use cryptography data, however, some of the cities are very old and we need to build all the social functions in the system, again making it very complicated to put all the information into the database. In general, the systems application needs improvement.

I don't have much detailed knowledge or experience in improvement areas. I need to first be more hands-on in my approach. I need more time to learn the technology, as I'm not as comfortable with it as I am with Azure and AWS. Technical support could be a bit better. Azure and AWS offerings are on a much bigger scale. Those who use this product must be Oracle-centric, which isn't the case with the other two. Whereas Oracle seems to be geared more towards databases only and Oracle only. The analytics need to be improved.
Cloud services where you need them
Your need for sovereignty, compliance, and location-specific performance should not limit your access to the latest cloud innovations. OCI gives you access to a full portfolio of cloud services wherever you need them. With a wide range of cloud options, including on-premises, dedicated Cloud@Customer, hybrid, multicloud solutions such as Oracle Database Service for Microsoft Azure, or public cloud, OCI’s distributed cloud portfolio—available across regions...
