Slack has been around for a long time, and it's an industry leader. Of course, Salesforce owns Slack now and is starting to integrate into it. I have attended Slack conferences and met with product and support managers. They're an excellent organization. Choosing Slack depends on the organization's size, so you need to plan your deployment and make sure you put some controls and standards in place and not just turn it on. If you're a Slack shop, you will have to have something like a Zoom or Microsoft Teams platform for when you need to do video conferencing internally or externally. Many shops have both products, but they use Slack for collaboration, chat, and so on, and use Teams for video and audio conferences. At the end of the day, Slack is missing those capabilities, so either you're going to be a Slack/Zoom shop or you're going to be a Microsoft Teams shop. I rate Slack an eight out of ten.

We could see improvement in Slack by having an integrated meeting tool. Currently, we rely on third-party integration tools like Zoom to schedule meetings. It would be much more convenient to schedule meetings directly within Slack without additional integrations. It needs to have calendar and CRM integrations as well. One of the things that could be improved is when you are writing; if you press enter, it automatically sends the message. Sometimes, that happens when you want to add a paragraph inside the Slack tool. You can use the Macintosh command function to move to another part. Sometimes, it's not easy to delete messages. I'm unsure if you have a specific timeframe to delete.

We have used Microsoft Teams for collaboration. Teams is also for chats and meetings. Slack doesn’t offer meetings because Huddl gets complicated sometimes. Microsoft Teams has call features and collab. You can integrate MS Teams with your Outlook or email so you get notified of the meetings. I have to set up meetings on Google Calendar and then Slack notifies. Slack should set up meetings with Slack, and you can also take notes within those meetings. Slack is only for chats and as a collaboration tool within an organization, but it could be used to set up meetings and schedule meetings.
