Optimizes business processes, is user-friendly and flexible
The software is user-friendly, flexible, and can be used with various data sources. It provides various reports and charts that help organizations to identify areas for improvement and optimize their processes. ABBYY Timeline is a great choice for business process analysts, process owners, and IT professionals who are looking for a tool to help them analyze and optimize their processes. The process flow/diagram is the most valuable feature, as it offers a helpful visual simulation that allows users to see what's happening in the grand scheme of things and then drill down into specific tasks and processes to see where the bottlenecks are. For those companies that look for the low-hanging fruit in terms of process automation and operational excellence, this is the tool you need to succeed.

Enables a data-driven approach to process analysis and helps generate cost savings
This tool allows me to discover value before discussing technology. It's the first solution that combines business competence and capabilities with technological capabilities. With Celonis, I discuss processes and root causes, analyzing the bottleneck resource process. There is an app centered around a data-driven approach. I can create the model and, in a data-driven way, map processes using technology that supports people in investigative activities by finding root causes where processes falter. Celonis emphasizes that these goals aim to generate cost optimization.

Pros

"ABBYY Timeline provides various reports and charts that help us identify areas for improvement and optimize our business processes."
"Technical support is really good. For me, the sales support matters more. When I'm in a sales cycle, the Celonis sales teams are very helpful. They reach out to me from day zero."
"Celonis has helped me to identify and prioritize process improvement areas. Because we understand the end-to-end lead time, including waiting times and areas where rework happens, we can see the performance bottlenecks."
"We use the tool for supply chain transformation. The tool has helped us find the bottlenecks in the supply chain like where the delay occurred in delivery, payment, etc. We had to extract two years' of data from the SAP system and an internal tool. We fed the data into Celonis and it created a process map for us with hundreds of variations. It has helped us see where exactly the bottleneck was. The tool has also helped us generate a lot of reviews and KPIs. It has helped us to find the problem and the remedy through process optimization."
"It's the first solution that combines business competence and capabilities with technological capabilities."
"It provides a visualization of the process itself, giving a very good synthesis of performance and helping me find improvements."
"It provides a visualization of the process itself, giving a very good synthesis of performance and helping me find improvements."
"Automated root cause analysis and process explorer features are very good. It provides a lot of selections, such as process flow selection, attribute selection, etc."
"What I found most valuable in Celonis is the ease of use. I also like that users can compare and contrast and derive any KPIs, keep track and see what's happening within the process via Celonis."

Cons

"There are a couple of new features available in Timeline that still need more time to mature."
"The one thing that could be improved is the guides are not getting updated to cover new features and upgrades, which means we can't use them at their full potential."
"Another area of improvement is implementation. So, in future releases, I would like to see a more streamlined implementation process would be appreciated, making it less time-consuming and more efficient."
"They need to provide readymade value stream mapping."
"The data modeling features could be more intuitive."
"It should be more flexible. It is not particularly flexible in the way it works, and it is quite rigid. It has some very strong structures that you have to follow. It could certainly be made more user-friendly to understand and should have fewer requirements for manipulation of the data to create the visualizations. We should also get better support from Celonis, and they also need to make the licensing model slightly different."
"The price is high for us."
"The solution must be more user-friendly."
"We want to see its linkage to Robotic Process Automation. We would also like to see how can it lead to the implementation side and whether the transition is smooth."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"The solution’s pricing is based on APC. It charges you based on the amount of GV that you use."
"The product is pretty expensive but reasonable."
"Pricing-wise, Celonis is a five out of ten right now because my clients just started with the solution. When my clients start looking at scaling Celonis, the cost will grow. Every user has an additional charge, and every gig of data you bring in costs extra."
"The solution requires an annual license. There is room for improvement because it is priced for organizations and not for individuals. For an individual, it would be too expensive for them to use it."
"Celonis is a little more expensive than UiPath."
"The solution’s pricing is high when compared to other process mining tools."
"Evaluating the price of the solution can be a difficult question. It is all about the business case and the return of the investments. That is typically how we also see this type of solution. It depends very much on the return. The entry-level is focused on enterprise size companies, for the SMB segment is it is out of their range. It is definitely expensive."
"The cost would be a concern for a certain category of customers. Flexible cost models would help smaller players be able to adapt Celonis into their business operations."
