Celonis is the most expensive solution in the market, and many customers are ready to migrate to more affordable solutions such as ARIS and SAP Signavio. Celonis must reduce its costs globally, especially in countries like India.
The tool has different pricing plans. We use a cloud solution focused on enterprise businesses new to process mining and Celonis. If we want to scale it up in the company or another process and another business unit, the cost will be high. Once we try to scale it up, the product becomes expensive. The pricing is not an issue in a medium and large company because it's very low. It will cost $15,000 a year when we start using the solution. However, if we want to scale these solutions, the pricing can go up to $200,000 and more.

Pricing-wise, Celonis is a five out of ten right now because my clients just started with the solution. When my clients start looking at scaling Celonis, the cost will grow. Every user has an additional charge, and every gig of data you bring in costs extra. That's where you have to be careful when scaling the solution.

We already have a Celonis account that we can use to demonstrate to clients. We could use it in some circumstances, but because we are partners and have a partnership with Celonis, we could use it for free.
The price could be better. If you ask a customer, they will always say it's highly-priced. In my personal opinion, the cost can be at the lower end. I think it's suitable for large organizations at this point in time.
I cannot provide any details on licensing because it is confidential information, but the licensing cost differs from organization to organization and partner to partner. A gold partner has more benefits and provides a discounted license.
If you are new to process mining you can try the Snap/Snap+ versions offered by Celonis which are free/ under $10,000 with a fixed APC data size and fixed set of analyst, admin, and member users. You can do a pilot leveraging the Snap+ version post that you could go for the full EMS version which provides more advanced features but comes with a cost. For example, Celonis EMS APC-100G and 10 Users = $80,000-$95,000/year.
The cost would be a concern for a certain category of customers. Flexible cost models would help smaller players be able to adapt Celonis into their business operations.
The solution requires an annual license. There is room for improvement because it is priced for organizations and not for individuals. For an individual, it would be too expensive for them to use it.

Celonis is expensive. It's not for mid or low-sized enterprises because the license price is high. Overall, it's quite pricey compared to anything else that I have heard about. But the good thing is that they don't charge per user. They charge for the data model.

Evaluating the price of the solution can be a difficult question. It is all about the business case and the return of the investments. That is typically how we also see this type of solution. It depends very much on the return. The entry-level is focused on enterprise size companies, for the SMB segment is it is out of their range. It is definitely expensive. We pay for a recurring license. There are a couple of add-ons that have a price that can be useful for you as an organization or not, but they have some additional modules. We are also talking about daily consumption, the more data you process on the solutions platform, the more you need to pay. You also need to keep that in mind. I would like to see a different license model for the solution in the future.

It is quite a significant investment. From a cost perspective, they need to reevaluate the licensing model. The cost is justified, but they need to make the licensing model slightly different.
