A great collaboration service for small organizations
The synchronization should be simplified. Other solutions like Dropbox and OneDrive have apps. I tried using the mobile version, but it didn't work properly, that needs to be improved. It was cumbersome. It's a good solution for a small organization like ours, but it really depends on your use-cases and the size of your organization. I had a very bitter experience with their mobile app. It was challenging to even download it and once I did, I wasn't even able to log into my system. The mobile app needs to improved for easy use.

Offers the most simplest and easiest UI to use
I would not like many changes in the tool, but I think the 15 GB space provided by Google Drive Enterprise needs to be increased to around 25 five GB, as it would be really helpful for users. These days, the resolution of pictures and everything else has been increased. If you take a picture from an iPhone, it could easily be of around seven to eight GB. Photos are memories that one would want to keep or store properly. I believe that it is not possible to save a lot of photos in Google Drive Enterprise since it only provides 15 GB to users. The product does not offer a bit more storage space for users, which makes it an area that needs to be considered for improvement.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"This solution is great for inviting and sharing documents with other users."
"Offers good storage."
"It's easy to access from an Android device and can access things like cyber security restrictions on USB drives, file size, and so on. Google Drive will be an option."
"It is very convenient and easy to access."
"The stability of Google Drive Enterprise is good."
"can create Google Docs links directly in Google Drive and choose whether to give edit or view access. As the owner of the link, I like that flexibility."
"Google Drive Enterprise provides convenience to its users. Also, it provides its users the option to easily share and collaborate."
"I also use OneDrive, but I prefer Google Drive because it's available on many platforms and devices, so it gives a wide variety for backups, especially on Android systems."
"Even if you lose your laptop or device, your data will still be accessible on Google Drive Enterprise. Therefore, keeping your files on the tool is a safe option. You can access it from any device if you have a Gmail account. When you create a Gmail account, you automatically get access to free Google resources, including 15 GB of Google Drive Enterprise storage, which is shared across all Google products."

Cons

"I had a very bitter experience with their mobile app."
"The search function in Google Drive Enterprise could be improved as it currently requires looking through many documents to find the right one."
"Considering things like speech recognition or enhanced benefits in Google Cloud could be worth exploring for a better experience."
"Security is the only area where there are certain shortcomings in the product where improvements are required."
"The storage space customization is limited, starting with 2GB and jumping significantly higher without intermediate options. Learning to use the admin console can be complex and overwhelming for some users. Additionally, the subscription payment method could be simpler, as updating payment details can be challenging if a credit card expires. For simple users, Gmail is fine, but business users often require more control."
"I'd like some UI enhancements for an even better user experience."
"I would like to see the price reduced in the next release."
"I had some issues with permissions at first. I have to ask for Drive permissions because I'm a new doctoral student. Sometimes I have to ask for permission because I can't access this kind of document, but recently they fixed that by adding me to their team. Now I can access any document that my department supervisors and staff share on Drive."
"It might be ideal if we could increase storage more easily, however, I don't have much visibility on that and have never had any issues."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's cheaper compared to similar products available"
"I use the free version of the product."
"Google is much cheaper than Microsoft."
"I pay for the additional storage. Otherwise, it's free as a basic plan, 15 GB."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a nine out of ten."
"If you need extra storage for the product, then you need to make certain payments towards the product's licensing charges."
"The product is not expensive."
"It has a yearly license."
"Google Drive is free."
