Provides telemetry, risk assessment, and behavior monitoring
I like the risk assessment tool built into Bitdefender GravityZone EDR because I'm really into risk assessments and vulnerability testing. I think that is crucial and needed, and I don't see that often with most EDRs. The telemetry I get from the tool can be used in a SOC I use. The solution has behavior monitoring that allows you to monitor people's specific behaviour and practices. You can then ask the person to stop or start doing something. You can also do application management and access management. You can do many things within Bitdefender GravityZone EDR because it is like a one-stop shop scenario.

Used for endpoint security, ransomware protection, virus protection, and server security
Intercept X Endpoint is deployed on the cloud in our organization. Previously, we had two ransomware attacks when we were using Kaspersky as an endpoint security. We didn't face any ransomware attacks after using Intercept X Endpoint for endpoint security. Intercept X Endpoint has simplified our malware detection. Since we have already implemented the policies in the cloud, all the malware is automatically detected. The solution also detects and removes new malware that can also come from the cloud AI engine. Integrating Intercept X Endpoint with our current security infrastructure was very easy. In my opinion, Sophos is a better solution because we are using Sophos endpoint security and network security. These two things sync with each other and monitor the packets and network traffic. No other vendor has simultaneous devices to check everything. I would recommend the solution to other users. Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

"The nice thing about Bitdefender is that it has modules and layers that you can add as the requirement becomes more sophisticated and dangerous or threatening."
"The features that are most useful are the simplicity of deploying the package and the cryptosystem for managing all the situations on the computer."
"It's quite simple to use and user friendly."
"I have found the most valuable feature to be the EDR."

"Technical support is responsive and adept."
"The patches on offer are very helpful."
"The key factor that attracted me to Sophos Intercept X was the multi-platform. I have multiple clients that have mixed environments of Mac and Windows. I am able to deliver a standard solution, regardless of the platform."
"The product is user-friendly."

Cons

"While the solution is secure, it could have better integration."
"The outreach from support was a bit bad according to their plan, but we've got two people here that manage and support GravityZone and interact with them and they manage it very well."
"They should improve the solution's patch management feature."
"For many, the problems come mostly when they start tweaking or short-cutting - particularly for patch management."
"The one thing I'd say about their complete MDR product is that it's too expensive, which is why I prefer to use an alternative SOC and integrate Bitdefender to a different SOC on their own."
"They were working on the encryption management for laptops, and if they complete it then it would be helpful."
"The on-premises setup for Bitdefender sometimes faces issues with connectivity. Management of Windows Defender is a bit easier compared to Bitdefender."
"Using this product requires quite a bit of training, which is hard to get."
"I have not done it, but integrating it with authenticating the users on the Windows system looks a bit complicated to me. It could be because I don't understand it."
"Installing Sophos Intercept X was not as straightforward, as we had to ask support and had to work with an integrator, though the process didn't take much time, e.g. it was completed within one hour."
"It should offer better security updates."
"They don't have the full stack of offerings as compared to the other competitive products that we see."
"I'm not clear on what features need improvement. Everything is mostly fine."
"It consumes a lot of resources, and something needs to be done for that."
"Intercept X Endpoint is a very heavy solution that consumes a lot of RAM and should be made lighter."
"We would like to deploy across a variety of machines simultaneously through the network."

"The pricing is competitive."
"Price-wise, we have a better licensing agreement with Bitdefender than we did with competing vendors."
"Bitdefender GravityZone Ultra is less expensive than other solutions, such as CrowdStrike. We had a really good deal because it was their year-end and they were trying to do a lot of sales that week. We bought a three-year contract from them and the cost was approximately $17 per endpoint, per year. It is was a very good price. I have spoken to other people who have purchased CrowdStrike at approximately $60 per endpoint, per year. I have no complaints about the price of this solution."
"Intercept X for endpoints is around $35 per user per year. The server version is $95 per server per year."
"There is a license required to use this solution."
"The pricing is average for software like this, but you can purchase additional services if you wish."
"The product is moderately priced."
"The price of this product should be reduced because it is a little high."
"It is a high-cost solution."
"You can pay monthly, but most of our customers choose annual subscriptions because they are less expensive."
"We have an annual subscription."
