Centralized control effectively manages devices while updates require powered-on systems
I use Bitdefender GravityZone EDR for the grooming industry. It is primarily utilized for the office environment The features I find most effective for threat detection include centralized control policy distribution and the control of independent devices, such as printers, laptops, and desktops…

Used for endpoint security, ransomware protection, virus protection, and server security
Intercept X Endpoint is deployed on the cloud in our organization. Previously, we had two ransomware attacks when we were using Kaspersky as an endpoint security. We didn't face any ransomware attacks after using Intercept X Endpoint for endpoint security. Intercept X Endpoint has simplified our malware detection. Since we have already implemented the policies in the cloud, all the malware is automatically detected. The solution also detects and removes new malware that can also come from the cloud AI engine. Integrating Intercept X Endpoint with our current security infrastructure was very easy. In my opinion, Sophos is a better solution because we are using Sophos endpoint security and network security. These two things sync with each other and monitor the packets and network traffic. No other vendor has simultaneous devices to check everything. I would recommend the solution to other users. Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Bitdefender GravityZone Ultra has many features, such as VPN, web filtering, and email filtering. The product has many good reviews, and I like how straightforward it is to implement. It's also easy to access and use."
"What I have found to be valuable is after every new release of the solution there are more features. At the time that we bought Bitdefender GravityZone, it was their top solution. We went from their Enterprise version to Elite, Elite HD, Ultra, and now there is an Ultra Plus available."
"If you detect a virus, you can isolate the PC from the network and prevent access to the internet, network and routers. Once fixed, you can give access back to the client. We have not had this functionality using other solutions."
"The nice thing about Bitdefender is that it has modules and layers that you can add as the requirement becomes more sophisticated and dangerous or threatening."
"Sandbox Analyzer, HyperDetect, and EDR are valuable to our customers."
"After deploying Bitdefender, it provides detailed logs about any threats encountered and quarantines the threat. It synchronizes this information, and you can see which PC or device faced the threat when you log into the console."
"Bitdefender is a well-supported platform."
"It is a very stable solution."
"It is an intelligent tool."
"This solution is easy to configure."
"It is one of the best in terms of technicality."
"Intercept X's smart prevention it's very good as so are its machine learning capabilities for troubleshooting channels and files."
"We have found the pricing to be reasonable."
"The most valuable features are the cloud administration and the strength of the ransomware protection."
"The most valuable features are ease of use and the GUI."
"The solution is overall quite good, the services are performing well. It is very good for those who are using standard PC configurations. It does not block their system up by taking up a lot of resources."

Cons

"We would like to see password management integrated into the solution because I don't like having a third-party password management system."
"We find it's making the machines run slow."
"The interface could be improved."
"I would like to see the capability for remote installation added, in particular for servers."
"Application Control should be available on the cloud."
"They should include the Hebrew language for its technical support in terms of communication."
"In the future, maybe this will need to morph into AI threat intelligence."
"The firewall security could be better."
"The endpoint detection and response (EDR) technology has room for improvement because the information that it gives us to resolve our problems is poor nowadays."
"It would be beneficial if you could expand support for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 without charging an additional fee."
"Sophos Intercept X could improve on its setup process. They could make it easier to have a baseline set up for the system, or at least provide more understanding of what the baseline is when you first install it. This could be a matter of lack of training on my part, but it's difficult to receive training on solutions that are not Cisco. Cisco is the only vendor with classes or courses."
"The number one thing I would like is if their support could be a little faster and it would be a little easier to get a hold of support when you need them."
"The pricing could be a bit lower to match the normal retail pricing."
"This product does not handle USB drives well."
"Pricing is high."
"We had some initial problems with our deployment, and they were more around uninstalling Sophos Basic and installing Sophos Intercept X. We had some challenges with some of the uninstallation scripts. They can improve the deployment of Sophos Intercept X when there is already an existing Sophos version. They can also provide more information in the form of best practices and lessons learned from previous findings. A knowledge base with this type of information would be helpful."
