Enhancing HR engagement with effective development but could benefit from AI-driven improvements
The primary feature I appreciate about the solution is the information connection, allowing us to have a full employee life cycle visibility over the platforms. It also enables the creation of interactions between employees, launching communication campaigns that raise engagement. From the HR side, the most valuable features are the Learning Management Systems (LMS) that allow providing a personalized service in terms of development, where each employee can choose and architect their development plans. The second valuable feature is the autonomy each employee has to update their personal data. In terms of talent management, it helps design development processes, backups, and clearly view the criteria for those backups being achieved.

User-friendly, well-organized, offering a structured step-by-step process for configuration
I would really like to see a more robust timekeeping solution in Workday. Currently, most organizations are using Kronos for timekeeping and Workday for HR data. They then integrate Workday with Dimensions to manage time-related activities and payroll processing. I think if Workday could enhance its timekeeping solution to match the functionality and flexibility of Dimensions, it would be a really good product. Another area for improvement is payroll. Workday payroll is not very extensively used in the North American market, but it is more widely used in Europe. There is a lot of complexity in payroll processing in North America, but I think there is still a lot of room for improvement in Workday. In the next release, I would like to see pre-built or predefined connectors for Dimensions and other applications. Currently, we have to use Boomi or another middleware application to integrate Workday with these systems. I think pre-built connectors would be very helpful, especially for Dimensions, which we do not currently have a connector for.

Pros

"The performance appraisal is the most valuable feature."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the payment engine."
"The tool provides a lot of options."
"The most valuable feature is you can customize every type of payroll calculation that you have."
"The solution is very helpful as it allows us to optimize and consolidate all the data for talent management."
"It helps to optimize some workflows and provides reporting capabilities."
"The support team were friendly and work in a systematic way. When contacting support you are able to add a level of priority to your case which is always respected by their team."
"Performance appraisal might be the most valuable feature for us."
"The reporting feature is quite easy for a layman to use, and the look and feel of the application is good. Its security is robust. You will never find a use case that cannot be covered."
"There is a lot to like about it. I really enjoy the business process framework. It's something that's really seamless. It allows you to have people within the flow. They get assigned a task to complete something to approve, etc. That's a really good piece of functionality that Workday offers. Their out-of-the-box reporting framework is also really powerful in terms of what it provides. These would be two things that I would highlight."
"The user interface is good and very easy to use."
"It was more efficient for the agents for their performance reviews, but when it came to HR and the recruitment team, it sometimes worked, and sometimes, it didn't work."
"Workday is easy to use. Timesheet and resource management are also easy."
"This product is leaps and bounds above the competition. Part of the reason is that it is built with modern technology. It has no legacy coding in it at all."
"In the process of obtaining representative sites in NaviNet, it assists us in facilitating decision-making and taking action."
"The product is useful for storing employee records."

Cons

"There is room for improvements, such as including AI solutions for people management to improve job descriptions, recruitment reels, skills mapping, etc."
"Meta4 could improve by allowing users to manage things by themself."
"I would like to have recruitment and acquisition features added to this solution."
"The solution is a little bit slow."
"The HR portal, training model, and development career model could all use improvement. Stability and scalability should be improved as well."
"There are difficulties regarding the reporting part."
"training and performance could be improved."
"The first response usually lacks depth, and if it were just an HR user submitting tickets, the outcome might be poor."
"The solution should be more user-friendly."
"The solution can be improved by speeding up the load time when pulling up information."
"Analytical tools have needed improvement. Workday has just released Prism Analytics, to replace the current analytical tools, so it’s in the early stages."
"Workday could give us industry-specific or vertical-specific solutions."
"Setting up reports can be a bit tricky."
"The solution needs to be updated with generative UI."
"I would be happy if it was faster. Currently, when I try to navigate within the solution itself, it is a bit slow in terms of the page load time. When I click on something, it usually takes time to load. When you click on different icons or areas on the website, it is slow. Even when you navigate between different models, it is a bit slow. I would like to see a bit faster performance and a better user experience."
"This solution could be made easier to use by continuing to release new improvements."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Meta4 requires annual maintenance that needs to be paid for."
"From a cost perspective, I think this is a well-balanced option."
"It's very, very expensive."
"You have the license fee per module, and then you have a kind of annual training fee, which is a kind of add-on. I wouldn't say it is exhaustive; it is minor. Licensing is pretty transparent for most of the part."
"By and large, Workday is expensive. It is based on the headcount. I'd probably rate it a three or four out of five in terms of pricing. It'd be like buying a Mercedes or a high-end car. It's expensive, but there's a specific value that you're getting with additional features and things of that nature. Using that metaphor, Workday probably tends to be more of a luxury. There are others like ADP that can do your payroll, your time off, and other things, but they don't do it as well."
"Its price is pretty high. It is more expensive than what is offered by other competitors in the market."
"The pricing is good from an HR perspective, although management gets upset after spending $500,000 a year, every year."
"Workday is an expensive solution."
"Workday is moderately priced - I'd rate its pricing three out of five."
"The solution is flexible in terms of pricing."
