Never misses anything and has an attractive price point and a simple interface
One thing they could improve is evolving from an EDR to an MDR, like Blackpoint. This transition would enable automatic remediation of anything that looks dangerous, including within Microsoft 365. For instance, when one of my clients' Microsoft 365 account was breached, Blackpoint identified suspicious activity and disabled the account. It was in Dallas, and we are in California. Blackpoint knew something was wrong there, and they went in and disabled the account. Developing more automated remediation features would elevate them to an MDR level, but I understand that it might affect pricing. They are trying to keep it at a good price point because once they go to MDR, it is probably going to double the price. For now, I find the current features satisfactory, as they continue to add improvements. They have added security awareness training and then log collectors. They are adding pillars as they move along, and I assume they are going to have an option for MDR.

While being easy to manage and create reports, the tool also offers a good UI
I rate the ease of use and management of Panda Adaptive Defense 360 an eight on a scale of one to ten. The tool's ability to provide information about the vulnerability is the most impactful feature of the product that has an impact on our company's security posture. Speaking about scenarios where the solution effectively prevented the security breach, I would say that our company sees how the tool blocks when our customers accidentally click on some malware, after which it quarantines that file. My company makes a playbook with the SOAR tool that Panda Adaptive Defense 360 uses to block and isolate attacks. In our company's system, if there is a big event that occurs, then to block the endpoint, we use SOAR with Panda Adaptive Defense 360 to block and isolate attacks or threats. The solution's real-time monitoring has improved our company's ability to detect threats if we use it in our company with Panda SIEMFeeder. Only if in my company there is a need to do some research, prepare a report, or if we want to change the policy, so it is not very often that we use the visualization part of the tool in our company. The reporting and analytics part of the tool has helped with the decision-making in our company since we combine different kinds of logs and situations from different ingestion logs, and we can configure a specific alert. In my company, we use the tool's data search functionality if required to check the information we need. Presently, our company uses the configuration alert and SIEMFeeder in our system. I rate the tool a nine out of ten.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"It catches things that no one else catches. We occasionally have things slip through antivirus and other things, but Huntress catches them. It is awesome as an additional layer of defense on top of other things."
"Huntress is extremely well-written software. I used to be a developer, and I see how they've written it. It's excellent. I've never had an issue with it crashing a machine. It's small, tight code."
"It is very easy to use. It is a great solution. They are one of the better vendors that I have ever worked with since I have been in the industry."
"What stands out most is their human element: when faced with an unknown threat, real people, not just automated processes, are investigating it, and they're people we trust."
"Huntress Managed EDR has helped me reduce the need for expensive security tools or to hire expensive security analysts."
"The most valuable aspect of Huntress is its ability to isolate legacy systems from the network, preventing the spread of threats."
"I have found it valuable that this solution is always there and always armed."
"Their SOC is super responsive and does a great job of catching incidences and being on top of any issues that arise."
"It offers an easy initial setup."
"Great technical support staff."
"The EDR has a high accuracy rate with only a few false positives."
"It is stable, and the performance is good."
"The feature I find most valuable is the advance search engine."
"The detection capabilities for malicious activities are effective."
"It's very easy to deploy, we don't have any problem or issues. It's most full automatic. It basically takes the assumption that everything is supposed to be a suspect; files, processes, URL accesses, and so on."
"It is easy to manage."

Cons

"Huntress should have a more user-friendly interface because it takes some understanding to work our way through the interfaces."
"Installing Huntress on a Mac presents a challenge for end users due to the operating system's security features, which require administrator privileges for installation."
"We are still getting many false positives."
"One thing they could improve is evolving from an EDR to an MDR, like Blackpoint."
"We need an API to automatically retrieve metrics and data about backend activity so we can generate client reports."
"I would like the API to be a little better. They are getting there."
"The product could be improved in terms of customization options available for reports."
"Huntress' Process Insights feature could benefit from more robust search and filtering capabilities."
"The implementation was difficult."
"Their MacOS support isn't that good."
"The only part I really don't use as much is their firewall. It's a bit superfluous. Most people have their own firewall in place, so they don't really need that part portion of the solution."
"t would help if it would monitor the network better."
"It would be nice if Panda Security Adaptive Defense could come out with remote desktop usage."
"The solution should have additional endpoint protection."
"Needs a better way to scan the hardware to detect whether it's valid."
"They need to expand their offering of add-ons to enhance capabilities further."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I rate the product pricing six out of ten for the Malaysian market. However, I would rate it a three out of ten for the Australian, New Zealand, or Singapore markets."
"It is very fair. I started at $2.50 and now I am at $3.50. When I signed up, I thought it was too cheap. It now reflects the price. It is very fair. I do not think you can find anything better."
"The pricing model for Huntress is similar to competitors and is charged per endpoint."
"The tool’s price is very good. You just need to pay for the standard license. However, you need to pay the additional cost for Microsoft Defender."
"The solution is cheap compared to other alternatives. It offers good value for money. For the whole solution, it's up to about five pounds per device per month. Considering what it does, I think that's very good value."
"Huntress is an easy sell to clients because it does all the heavy lifting. Sometimes, they will buck a little at the price because they want a free antivirus or EDR. We tell them that we use Huntress on all our machines. That is our standard process for all the machines we roll out. When we give that advice, people are pretty willing to say okay."
"I rate the product's price a five or six on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive since it is a fairly priced product."
"The solution's pricing is fair."
"Panda is cloud-only and comes at a reasonable cost. It is a set price per seat."
"Our licensing fee is 1M Euro per month, so it is about 80 Euro's per user."
"The solution is priced well for what features it provides."
"The licensing is subscription-based and priced well compared to other endpoint security solutions."
"There is a license needed to use this solution and it is approximately $30 annually."
"The licensing costs are not too high. We pay about 20 Euros a year. It's a reasonable amount to pay."
"The price of this solution depends on the number of licenses that you are purchasing."
"Customers need to pay monthly licensing costs for Panda Security Adaptive Defense, which is not expensive."
