Integration and customization streamline complex processes for improved efficiency
The user interface in JD Edwards World is very crude; I press a button to get to the application, unlike EnterpriseOne, which offers a more finished experience with dashboards. Other software like Salesforce or Cognos offers a good user interface where users find it intuitive to navigate. It should be more accessible, even for those who have never interacted with JD Edwards World before.

Integrations Help Bring Efficiency while Documentation Needs Improvement
When I started working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, I was new and didn't know what ERP was or its purpose, but I was eager to learn more each day. The system can become overwhelmed because you cannot control the number of integrations, and our team struggled to manage the numerous integrations we had. More documentation is needed on how to use Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and its capabilities. From a technical perspective, it was challenging because understanding the system requires familiarity with financial sectors. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central could benefit from more AI integration. Learning the application was challenging as there was much to understand about accounts payable, receivable, accounting, and general ledger.

"For me, the main strengths of Microsoft Dynamics NAV are that it's user-friendly and light. These are its major wins. I have used other ERPs and their architecture were a little more complex when compared to the Microsoft Dynamics NAV architecture."
"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is the Teams application. I use Teams to share documents amongst my team members, have meetings, and talk to them."
"The audit trails, which include any IP system, are very useful."
"The solution has good dashboard functionalities and export functionalities."
"It is a scalable solution. There are more than 5,000 end users in my organization."
"We like the manufacturing and case management modules."
"The customer support is good. The first level of support agent in every case was able to solve the problem very quickly."
"It is easy to use, and it works very well for small-scale companies."

Cons

"The integration technology could be stronger at this point."
"I have more than 18 years of JDE experience in JDE EnterpriseOne and World versions. I think JDE is good but compared to SAP and Oracle EPS, we can see which area needs to have some improvement for JDE."
"The pricing for JD Edwards World could be more affordable so that it could be available to a broader audience. My clients want more analytics or data analysis features from JD Edwards World."
"Update interface capabilities and data maintenance tools to modern standards."
"I would like report creation to be easier."
"Its end of life is already announced, so I don't expect lots of improvement coming from the product anywhere anymore."
"World is old, so everybody is looking to just upgrade or migrate from it."
"There are a lot of new technologies coming out and JD Edwards World could improve by having better integration with other databases. The integration with the databases and applications should be in real-time, such as with Oracle."
"Implementing localizations when we use the system for multiple countries can be quite complex."
"Microsoft Dynamics NAV will be replaced with Office 365 in the future."
"In Thailand, the support here could be better. The process to get an answer is too long."
"I am hoping there is more integration with other platforms, more features, and customization in the next release."
"Customization and costs could be improved."
"I have not experienced enhanced productivity using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central."
"There is room for improvement in the ability to reverse or correct transactions more easily."
"Since it's complex for a layperson user to understand the solution, it would be better if the solution provided some training resources."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of JD Edwards World is reasonable. Since it is a legacy solution the price has been reduced."
"The pricing for JD Edwards World could be more affordable."
"You have to pay for a license, and the license cost is calculated based on the number of users you have."
"The tool’s licensing is yearly. The solution is cheaper compared to other ERP products from Oracle or SAP."
"The cost is one of the benefits. If you don't want to go for the full-blown finance and operations, the pricing model is a lot cheaper and has now switched to being based on a per-user subscription. So, if it's on cloud, you now have an expense instead of a large CapEx. If it's on-prem, you obviously still have to continue with the licensing model that they have, but if you compare the features and functionality, in terms of the price that you pay, I find it's better than other products. My answer on the pricing would be slightly different, depending on the country you're in and the return on investment, based on the size of the company. It's well-priced internationally. I think the new model is priced even better because it's now subscription-based and, if you go for cloud, the return on investment is a lot quicker and if it's expense, you can cap it. If you do take the on-prem version, the licensing is still priced as what it used to be, so that would depend on what country you are in."
"There are two types of licenses. One is the essential license in which everything is covered, and the next is the premium. If your company is a manufacturing or service management company, then you can go for the premium license because those two modules are the premium ones. You can manage your manufacturing activities and your service activities."
"I have some subscription-based customer and a few customers who have perpetual licenses that hosted the application on the cloud."
"The on-premises model of Dynamics NAV is very expensive, hence our plan to migrate to Dynamics 365 Business Central, which appears to fit our needs better in terms of pricing. Compared to competitors, the cloud version of Dynamics is in the middle; not too high and not too low."
"The solution is on the cloud and they provide 50 gigabytes of free space on their Microsoft Drive. The reason for this is that Microsoft is requiring you to upgrade all of your systems to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in order to effectively use the cloud. This means that if you are currently using a different version of Microsoft for a specific purpose that does not require this solution, it can be frustrating to have to spend money to upgrade to this solution just for the purpose of syncing with the cloud. Additionally, even if you do purchase Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, there can still be issues with syncing between the on-premise and cloud clients. This can be especially frustrating as the cloud storage is not free and can be difficult to access even after purchasing."
"The price of the solution is reasonable."
"The solution's license is costly compared to other CRM tools."
