Solid security and performance; overall a useful tool
We use Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response for different in-depth solutions. It's a useful tool when you want everything in one module and you don't have a big budget for security. Other use cases are behavior detection, policy management, assessments, and patch fixings The most valuable…

Reduces organizational risk, low on machine load, and helps prevent ransomware
The most important aspect of the solution is that the load on the machine is not very high. It doesn't take up battery resources. The solution prevents ransomware and other threats. So far, it is working brilliantly. The dashboards and UI are user friendly, as is the ability to configure as needed. It seems to have a lot more capabilities. The XDR capabilities, in particular, look very strong. We're currently looking into that. If we want to do integrations with third parties, we don't have very many challenges around that. The ability to ingest and correlate across our security solutions is very useful. It's impressive. The AI engine it has is excellent. It helps us consolidate our security solutions. While it does not allow us to reduce alerts per se, it does a good job of correlating. The way it's integrated into the SIM, it's working to the expectations we have. The solution helps free up people so that they can work on other tasks. We don't have to grow our team too much now. My security team is actually quite small - about five people. We all get more time to handle other tasks. We've noted that it does help reduce mean time to respond. We can identify events easier and those that are most critical are brought to the forefront. Previously, we were in the dark. Now we have so much more visibility. It's been a huge improvement. It's effectively helped to reduce organizational risk.

Pros

"The detection engine running on endpoints works very well and provides a good protection level."
"We particularly appreciate how scalable this solution is, as we often need to increase our end-user numbers."
"The most valuable features of Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response are the threat detection technologies, and activity monitoring and support tools. Additionally, the port and USB security, and antivirus are effective."
"The most valuable features of Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response are all the features. The features have all helped us and most recently malware has been an issue in our company and malware protection has been effective."
"We compared Kaspersky and Trend Micro. The latter is significantly more expensive. That's the main difference."
"I like the tool’s response to malware and trojans."
"The solution provides high-end security that is critical for financial institutions and bankers."
"The solution is scalable."
"It has helped to reduce our organizational risks."
"The tool saves 50% of the staff's time."
"In terms of the engines that SentinelOne uses, it has stopped various scripts from running and it's highlighted lateral movement that we weren't expecting."
"It is easy to manage and install. It has a very nice graphical interface that is very intuitive when end users are using it. You don't have to follow or read a book about 600 pages to have knowledge on how to use it. When SentinelOne is up and running, you can easily find your way."
"SentinelOne is very lightweight. It doesn’t consume much memory of endpoints. Endpoints don't hang, and machine performance doesn’t get impacted. Their technical support is also very nice."
"SentinelOne is very simple to install and very simple to manage. It's very aggressive, so it does protection well, and it seems to be stopping attacks that other solutions cannot."
"I like the centralized management with the web dashboard."
"It uses AI technology so it can find known and unknown threats. It is stable and provides one of the best technical support."

Cons

"The license prices for this solution are quite high."
"Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response should continue to improve its protection while adapting to the changing threat ecosystems. Having more advanced features would be a benefit."
"Kaspersky EDR lacks protection from recent ransomware."
"The solution can improve by providing automatic fixing of vulnerabilities and reducing the resources used in the server component and endpoint agent. They are very bulky and use a lot of CPU, memory, and hard drive resources."
"Kaspersky needs to strengthen its standing in the market."
"The solution is expensive."
"They should include XDR features in the solution."
"The technical support team should respond in a more timely manner."
"It is difficult to manage users in SentinelOne."
"It primarily operates on local machines, monitoring processes, and not always providing detailed insights, relying on external information to determine the nature of a file."
"Initially, when we first deployed the solution, it caused some third-party connectivity issues."
"Their CASB tool needs to mature. I think there are some CASB vendors out there that have a dashboard tool that's much more mature than SentinelOne. That would be the only constructive criticism that I have."
"Improvement seems necessary, especially with the focus on enhanced support."
"One thing I don't like is the exportable report. They're they're not as useful as I'd hoped they would be."
"Email security should also integrate with it to get more visibility on it."
"We have had cases where Singularity Complete has caused applications to malfunction."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"EDR is priced on the cheaper side. Licensing for EDR is available on a yearly basis for around 80 SAR a year."

"The solution isn't the cheapest considering what you get. I would rate the pricing as seven out of ten."
"Kaspersky is licensed on a yearly basis."
"We have been satisfied with the license of the solution."
"If one is cheap, ten is expensive, I rate the product’s price as a seven out of ten, especially if I compare it with CrowdStrike."
"Kaspersky's pricing is very competitive when it comes to comparison with the other solutions."
"The product has a valuable pricing model. We need to purchase its monthly subscription."
"The pricing is very fair for the solution they provide."
"SentinelOne can cost approximately $70 per device."
"The license is paid annually and is competitive."
"When we were checking out different platforms, we did get a price from Microsoft, and it was unreasonable. SentinelOne was definitely reasonable and worth the money."
"This solution is less expensive than its competitors."
"From what I understand, it is pricey, but it works. It is a very good product."
"The larger count you have, the deeper discount you will receive in your contract."
"We have not been beaten in the market by pricing, so we have been feeling good about that. The discussions we have had over the years keep us at a very low price per unit. It can always get better, but we also know there is a cost to the backend."
