A stable product that offers excellent ROI and reliable technical support
It is a good solution but quite complex, especially when integrating with other systems. Some simpler products like Sage are much easier to integrate with. I think it is because of the product’s proprietary database, MSSQL. Other databases are more open source. They use MySQL in the background, so it is easier to integrate with other products. Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

Comprehensive solution for SCM but requires add-ons for fluid pages
I would like to see a chatbot in PeopleSoft as part of artificial intelligence. Moreover, there are already a few things in the cloud. In the market, all companies and entities are moving to the cloud, whether it is Oracle cloud or AWS cloud. The cloud is the most secure platform where we can also have Fusion. Few companies have migrated from PeopleSoft to Fusion or Oracle Cloud, or AWS cloud based on their organization's requirements. Some organizations are moving from PeopleSoft to upgrade their tools or application versions, while others are moving from PeopleSoft to HCM Cloud if they are into HCM. The cost of the product depends on the enterprise's size, and some enterprises are moving in quantity due to the current market. Additional areas that need improvement are the add-ons to the fluid pages and additional features in SCM and finance, both functionally and technically.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable features of Microsoft Dynamics AX are field services and the vendor collaboration portal. Both of the features are very good."
"The most valuable feature is the workflow of the modules."
"If anyone is familiar with Microsoft products then they can handle it easily."
"Microsoft Dynamics is very stable."
"It is easy to use, and it has a great UI. It has very well-structured modules. In terms of setup and configuration, they're logically placed, which makes it easy for any user to pick up information and learn more about the system, rather than just be plain key users of that business operating system."
"This solution's most valuable feature is its workflow for purchase orders and inventory."
"Dynamics AX is very simple to use."
"There's a moderate amount of scalability available."
"It's great for helping users deal with their supply chain."
"Scales up very well."
"The PeopleSoft interface is very good."
"It is a customizable product. We can customize it based on our needs, which is one of the features that I like about PeopleSoft. As far as financial accounting is concerned, the user interface is very good. You can also configure Chart of Accounts for all performance insights."
"Flexibility in configuration."
"I've worked with HR, payroll, benefits, time and labor, health and safety, and every module. I've also worked on different modules for the education, health, and financial sectors. My 25 years of experience cover different industries and implementations. I've also worked in the public sector, which is a bit different. I implemented PeopleSoft for the state of Massachusetts, covering 168 schools, colleges, and universities."
"Job data is a valuable feature."
"I'd like PeopleSoft to be like on the cloud and more mobile-friendly. If I try to access it from a cell phone, it's a bit difficult, so it would be great if PeopleSoft could improve these features."

Cons

"It could be more scalable and stable. It would also be better if the interface were more integrated with the Microsoft ecosystem because 2012 is not really integrated."
"I sometimes put in wrong data that needs correction, but I cannot change it or approve it without withdrawing it. It will then take time for me to go back in and edit it."
"At times there are issues related to reporting, sometimes with the integration between two or three modules, and sometimes to the logic itself."
"There might be some features to support localizations that could be helpful to add."
"I would never recommend moving to an obsolete product that cannot get support."
"The initial setup can be complex at times and has room for improvement."
"The product takes some training to get up to speed on all functionality and modules in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 ERP system."
"Microsoft needs more presence in our region to help with management and maintenance."
"PeopleSoft should be more flexible with the configuration. There should be less coding and more configuration."
"The solution's initial setup is not straightforward."
"Areas for improvement include implementing/upgrading tools and documentation. The Oracle support website can be difficult to navigate."
"Having applications which provide more enhanced features and user-friendly elements."
"The Time and Labor module is not that flexible."
"I would like to see improvement in the UI."
"The whole systematic flow of any query raised to HR should be improved."
"One of the areas that could improve is the capability of utilizing mobile for some of the self-service activities that are missing. They are running on the older platform. What is happening is people are focusing on the cloud. PeopleSoft is a good provider and should into the cloud. That could be an advantage for them. Customers would not have to go find another solution that is a completely different platform that has different functionality altogether."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product's license renewal cost could be better."
"The solution is on-premises and we do not pay for a license."
"The pricing is expensive."
"The tool is cheap."
"Go for cloud implementation, if cost is critical."
"The yearly licenses are priced okay."
"Microsoft Dynamics AX is not expensive."
"The tool's licensing model is based on user subscription. The pricing needs to be reduced for the Indian and South Asian markets."
"The tool is expensive."
"Yearly payments are to be made toward the licensing costs of PeopleSoft. PeopleSoft is not very expensive, so I feel it is an affordable product."
"I would rate the pricing an eight out of ten, with ten being expensive."
"There are no additional costs for licensing."
"I would consider this to be an expensive product, but the quality justifies it."
"The solution is priced per module."
"The product's cost depends on the number of people in your company or the number of paychecks processed. They charge based on these factors, plus a maintenance fee. I'm not sure about current pricing since Oracle took over."
"PeopleSoft has a yearly maintenance fee."
