Efficient with good data retrieval but improvement needed in user interface
Oracle APEX is very easy to use and comes with a lot of ready-made components that speed up the process of creating reports and dashboards. It is part of our agreement with Oracle E Business Suite and offers seamless data retrieval and performance. Additionally, we utilize its dashboard and reporting capabilities.

Has customization and integration capabilities which increase efficiency
Salesforce could improve by offering AI features or functionalities to help business decision-makers analyze business history, suggest forward strategies, and participate in events. The previous version had a complicated interface where multiple pages and data entries were required, which was not pleasant for sales teams or business users. Also, deploying Salesforce took a long time, about four to five months, which is not ideal for any business.

"Oracle APEX is very easy to use and comes with a lot of ready-made components that speed up the process of creating reports and dashboards."
"It has many ready modules that can be used and developed."
"This is a good application for quickly creating public applications."
"The solution can efficiently translate from English to another language including Arabic using the XLIFF format."
"What I like best about Oracle Application Express (APEX) is that it doesn't require hard coding for reporting and building applications. It's a GUI-based application builder that even end-users with little development and language knowledge can develop applications on Oracle Application Express (APEX). The software is also very user-friendly, which I find valuable."
"It's stable and reliable for the most part."
"The virtual patching feature is valuable."
"Stability of the platform is important, as are security and flexibility."
"The stability has been great."
"It is a great platform. It's definitely an improvement from the GCP application that we were using previously."
"I like the reports and the dashboards. Since I'm a managing partner, I use the reports and dashboards to understand my team's contact management, opportunity management, and account management activities. We use Pardot for marketing campaigns."
"The most valuable features are quick customization, solid deployment processes, and excellent reliability."
"They are already beginning to implement generative AI."
"A fully integrated solution that provides a seamless experience."
"Salesforce provides customization that aligns with our organization's lifecycle management of opportunities. It integrates with our call records, meeting notes, and the Outlook calendar, which helps in mapping roles and managing opportunities effectively."

Cons

"Visual Builder and APEX should meld in one product."
"It can be modern and more user-friendly."
"It can only be deployed on Oracle Database."
"The solution’s pricing is high if you use it on the OCA platform. It’s also a little bit costly. However, if we use it on an on-premises Oracle database, the pricing is cheaper."
"The user interface needs to be improved."
"It would be beneficial to include WebSockets so that you can see real-time updates."
"When exporting, we can't export dynamic reports, only static reports. For example, when we want to export charts or tables it is only exported as a static report so we can't drop down on these reports; however, we can see this information when we are on the dashboard itself."
"One area for improvement in Oracle APEX is its workflow orchestration capabilities."
"Sometimes what will happen is we work on it and then we move to a different tab and work on something else. After five minutes, when we come back, it automatically signs out."
"The solution offers upgrades at a slower pace. The solution needs to keep up with competitors."
"The back end really isn't user-friendly at all."
"Getting reports in Salesforce is sometimes a little bit difficult. You need to do a lot of things to get detailed reports. This feature can be improved. Its price can also be improved. It is currently expensive."
"Some business functionalities could be improved."
"In Salesforce, every customer is unique and it's not possible to bundle them together effectively if they are from the same company or move companies, et cetera."
"I would like Salesforce to recommend related opportunities within the organization that have been taken to closure, so we can fast track new opportunities based on past experiences."
"Identification management systems integration should be easier."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The solution is free with your Oracle license or database and that is a good value."
"To my understanding, my organization is using the free version of Oracle Application Express (APEX), but I'm unsure because I haven't checked the pricing or licensing cost for it."
"If you have a license to Oracle database, you can access APEX."
"The solution is free."
"It is expensive, but I don't know what the licensing cost is."
"I would rate it around an eight in terms of price, with one being low and ten being high."
"When buying the data license, APEX is included."
"Oracle Application Express (APEX) comes with Oracle. The Oracle price itself. I do not know the exact cost. Oracle is flexible on its price. If you overspend on your hardware, then I don't think you will overpay. I heard that Oracle is more expensive than other databases, but when you consider Oracle is the best traditional relational database out there. You get what you pay for."
"The cost is reasonable for the corporations I work for. I would say an average would be around $100 per month per user."
"It is a fair price for what it's offering, in comparison with other solutions that are available on the market."
"Salesforce is cheap."
"Salesforce does a user capacity analysis on a regular basis. For example, if you're not using certain areas, you may lose access. If you don't go in and quote and edit quotes, all of a sudden you may lose your rights to quote."
"For the number of people that are using Salesforce Platform in my organization, I feel the price is reasonable."
"The cost of this solution depends on negotiations. It is somewhere between expensive and reasonable. There is always additional costs for consulting services. It's the kind of solution that requires consulting, but it is not a licensing cost. It is a consulting cost. It is CAPEX versus OPEX."
"The solution is a bit expensive."
"Pricing for the Salesforce Platform is too expensive."
