Efficient with good data retrieval but improvement needed in user interface
Oracle APEX is very easy to use and comes with a lot of ready-made components that speed up the process of creating reports and dashboards. It is part of our agreement with Oracle E Business Suite and offers seamless data retrieval and performance. Additionally, we utilize its dashboard and reporting capabilities.

Quick turnaround on project closures with a drag-and-drop interface and good value for money
Zoho Creator provides a quick turnaround in terms of project closures, which is the most important benefit. Its drag-and-drop interface enhances app development. Integrations and schedulers are also used. Zoho applications are cloud-based, which makes updates automatic since it's a SaaS-based application. In terms of stability, we have had no issues. It is satisfactory and has value for money, especially if things are properly strategized to save time.

"The most valuable features are security, stability, and ease of implementation."
"With only a browser, it is very easy to develop in a web environment."
"Efficient software delivery and a solution that works quickly."
"The product is easy to use."
"What I like best about Oracle Application Express (APEX) is that it doesn't require hard coding for reporting and building applications. It's a GUI-based application builder that even end-users with little development and language knowledge can develop applications on Oracle Application Express (APEX). The software is also very user-friendly, which I find valuable."
"The most important thing is Zoho Creator's functionality. Other cloud platforms cannot provide its functionality."
"Zoho Creator is a flexible open platform that is good for development in a complex environment that other platforms may not support. It isn't a challenge for me to develop any kind of complex application in Zoho."
"It is very easy to build applications on the product."
"The solution's flexibility and quick turnaround are valuable."
"It is a very, very scalable tool."
"Zoho Creator provides a quick turnaround in terms of project closures, which is the most important benefit."
"Zoho Creator can be integrated with other platforms easily."
"Zoho Creator is a low-code platform that is easy to use and manage other resources. It stands out because of its modular platform approach. It offers an ERP system with the flexibility to create various applications like service applications, customer portals, and more. It's particularly useful if you already have an ERP system and want to extend its functionality with applications for customer portals, e-commerce, or internal processes such as HR approvals and inventory management. The platform simplifies workflow creation."

Cons

"Better connection and integration with non-Oracle databases is needed."
"It has been reported that the technology is very hard to learn, and the service is expensive."
"Oracle is more of a database-oriented solution and is not very flexible in app development."
"The format is not recognized by Microsoft Word products."
"Connecting with Oracle and the relation with Oracle at the database as a procedure needs improvement."
"It can only be deployed on Oracle Database."
"There is not a lot of Wiki help or in Google, but there is some."
"There is one disadvantage. When facing problems, it can be difficult to find solutions online (Google/YouTube), unlike with Java coding, where solutions are readily available on Google."
"Zoho Creator's UX design needs to be improved."
"The solution has limitations on development. It will not be suitable if you have 4000-5000 users."
"Though the pricing level is low compared to other products in the market, I suggest they allow portal users to pay for the solution based on their requirements."
"Zoho provides different channels for support, like chat and email. There's also a multi-brand support self-service support portal, but it's time-consuming to deal with it. If we create a portal on Zoho, we need to pay an additional cost per user. It's a flexible platform, but there are limitations, such as the EBI. We need to purchase additional EBIs and other features that some businesses require. If we are developing complex applications, we need to set up many virtual automation and use API calls."
"When you're developing database-type applications, there is no way to see the actual database tables. They call them forms, and I don't like that. Zoho should also provide better user guides."
"The UI must be improved."
"The layout of the form site needs some improvements because you can only create a basic layout and templates in the forms."
"We face issues while moving from one form to another form. We have a negative impression of the tool's support since they do not provide us assistance with our queries. They don't have solid answers to our questions."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool is not expensive."
"The solution is cheap. It's a free solution. I rate the solution's pricing a six or seven out of ten."
"Oracle Application Express (APEX) is free, so this is another magic of the solution. You just get charged for the database license, which I don't need."
"The pricing is mid-range so is neither expensive nor cheap."
"I believe APEX comes bundled with the database, including autonomous database and other related database products, so the pricing is quite reasonable."
"To my understanding, my organization is using the free version of Oracle Application Express (APEX), but I'm unsure because I haven't checked the pricing or licensing cost for it."
"It is expensive in comparison to other products."
"I believe that the solution's pricing is high."
