Room For Improvement

StorMagic SvSAN needs improved licensing, scalability, features, user interface, security, monitoring integration, enterprise modeling, documentation, and pricing.

It would be beneficial to have a central place for configurations, similar to VMware vCenter.
Ideally, the console should provide plugins or similar configuration options for seamless integration with these tools.
Unauthorized access to the SvSAN server could cause significant damage.
The improvement we would like to see is the option to scale Veeam Data up in smaller sections rather than large sections, which requires paying much more.
Reducing it by 20% would make it more accessible to a broader range of customers.

Setup Cost

StorMagic SvSAN offers competitive, predictable pricing based on capacity, providing cost efficiency over larger storage providers like VMware.
Veeam Data Platform offers competitive pricing with predictable CPU socket-based licensing, though additional features can increase costs.
The pricing model, based on the usable storage capacity, is simple and predictable.
I would rate the cost a one out of ten with ten being the most costly.
Choosing the maximum capacity proved cost-effective, especially compared to alternatives like VMware vSAN, which would have been significantly more expensive based on VCP cores.
A reduction of 20% in the current cost would make the solution more attractive to clients.
From what I know, it is expensive to add modules, with a scale rating of eight out of ten.

Allowed us to achieve unification and standardization across our sites, making it easy to install and maintain
What we like the most is how easy it is to implement. I am able to bring fully functional virtual infrastructure in a matter of two hours with StorMagic SvSAN, compared to other technologies that are very complex. StorMagic SvSAN does not have hardware-specific requirements and is hypervisor agnostic, which makes it easier compared to competitors like HPE SimpliVity that are limited to specific hardware. This solution has allowed us to achieve unification and standardization across our sites, making it easy to install and maintain.
