Room For Improvement

Users suggest Cloudflare improve analytics, CDN errors, support, DNS, APIs, pricing, server access, DDoS features, and documentation.
Trellix DLP needs better support, user interface, installation, compatibility, cloud options, Firefox support, bug fixes, and dashboard management.
Zscaler Platform needs faster speed, better support, scalability, flexibility, improved usability, integration, documentation, and enhanced data security.
There's a need for improvement in areas like AI-based DDoS attacks and Layer 7 WAF features.
Despite these challenges, overall, Cloudflare remains the preferred solution compared to Azure, AWS CloudFront, and Google Cloud Armor.
Compared to other vendors and Cloudflare, there will be more downtime.

Setup Cost

Cloudflare provides free and paid plans from $20, with straightforward pricing catering to small, medium, and enterprise businesses.
Trellix DLP pricing is costly but straightforward, rated as fairly affordable at $3000 per node with extra support costs.
Enterprise users view Zscaler's Zero Trust pricing as flexible and competitive but often expensive, with costs varying by features and size.
That's where Cloudflare shines for smaller businesses – it's ten times cheaper than Akamai.
The price of the solution is expensive.
When you compare Cloudflare DNS to other solutions, such as Akamai, the price is reasonable.

Valuable Features

Cloudflare provides speed enhancement, security, and ease of use with CDN, DDoS protection, SSL, and traffic analytics for website optimization.
Trellix DLP simplifies data protection with prebuilt templates, software control, and integrated security features, offering a comprehensive solution.
Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange provides secure, scalable access and data protection with seamless integration, praised for reliability and configurability.
The most valuable feature of Cloudflare DNS is security.
Our scenario consisted of two web servers in different allocations to control access demands, and the load balancer did the job as expected, bringing security and stability to access points.
For me, the valuable feature is DDoS protection.

It's easy to set up because you point the DNS to it, and it's working in under 15 minutes
Cloudflare is highly scalable. Cloudflare is a system with a web portal that the end users like me see. It's a console where we can adjust the DNS, caching, and security features all in that console. Cloudflare owns thousands of servers across the world that cache the data. It's a powerful solution. When clients sign up for Cloudflare, they're getting this monster content delivery network, security, and a web application firewall in one. It's all rolled into one, and it's massive. Unless you have your website hosted on a massive hosting provider, there's no way that you can deliver the amount of data that Cloudflare can provide to the end users. If you have static content, there's no way that you can ever match what Cloudflare can do. Obviously, there are competitors to Cloudflare that do the same, but I'm saying other types of solutions. Let's say you go with F5. Great, that's on-prem. That's in your colo. You can't deliver as much data to the internet as you can with a CDN. You don't have to spend $20,000 on a net scaler, F5, or whatever Cisco's selling now. You don't have to buy that. You pay them $50 a month or $150 a month. It's totally worth it because even in five years, you'll never get the performance value, not just the actual ROI. You have to consider how much throughput you can get with Cloudflare.

Useful in the area of data security and is easy to deploy
The negative part of the product stems from the area revolving around certain browsers. The solution does not support Mozilla Firefox. Mozilla Firefox has multiple architectures while Trellix is a product that does not support multiple architectures. When it comes to the parts where improvements are required in the product, I feel that Trellix needs to verify data through the SSL inspection process. The support team's response time during the night is an area of concern where improvements are required.

A VPN alternative that delivers a zero trust model
The pricing for Private Access seems to be on the expensive side, and I believe they should consider making it more competitive with other solutions. Specifically, they could improve pricing by offering customizable packages that cater to each customer's specific needs. Connectivity to voice-over IP (VoIP) solutions, both private and VoIP, is scheduled to be included in the upcoming week.
