My primary use case for this solution is to manage files and analyze reports for a few customers who require these capabilities. We are utilizing the public cloud environment.

The solution has simplified data management and administrative tasks, reducing the need for local servers and making it easier to use. This has significantly improved our operational efficiency.

The product's valuable features include network management and switching devices from anywhere. Additionally, the reporting and analytics parts are very useful for our needs.

The platform's analytics and reporting components could be improved. We seek more detailed reports and analytics to serve our business requirements. 

Additionally, integration with NetFlow Cloud would be beneficial, eliminating the need for separate licensing.

I have used Fortinet FortiGate Cloud for about five to six years.

I work for a managed security service provider. We use this solution to deploy firewalls for our customers and then manage them on long-term contracts.

The most valuable feature of the solution is the remote management capability. 

There is room for improvement in their management and downtime. They're constantly doing maintenance and there are unexpected downtimes for the cloud interface. It seems like they are having some growing pains.

I have been using this solution for a year and a half.

I have no negative impression of the FortiGate firewalls. Like I said, sometimes the cloud interface leaves a little to be desired in availability, but I don't want to exaggerate that. Of course you never want it to be down, but occasionally it is.

The scalability is great so far, although I don't think we have enough clients on the solution to really speak to that. We currently have a dozen firewalls on it, but we plan to roll it out to close to 100 customers.

I've used FortiGate's tech support one or two times, and they were outstanding and resolved my issues.

There is a learning curve, but on a scale of one to five, with one being almost impossible and five being extremely easy, I would rate the setup process as a three or four. We deploy new firewalls for our customers using this solution about once a month.

There are licensing costs for the firewall, of course, and there are licensing costs for all the add-on products, like the antivirus licenses and content builders. For us personally, as the managed service provider, there are licensing costs to manage the devices and logs in the cloud. That's a whole separate license.

I would rate this solution as an eight out of ten.

Our experience suggests that FortiGate Cloud scales effectively, accommodating around 20 to 24 clients seamlessly.

In addition to FortiGate Cloud, we leverage other solutions like Palo Alto, Zoho, and Sophos, tailoring our choices to fit each client's specific needs and budget constraints.

The initial setup process for vCenter is generally straightforward for our team. This ease is primarily attributed to our meticulous planning before deployment. It takes a few hours to complete depending upon specific requirements. Following deployment, we handle maintenance and troubleshooting as required. 

While pricing could be more competitive, it ultimately depends on the client's budget and specific feature requirements. It's essential to conduct a thorough evaluation to determine the best fit.

Fortinet's documentation and support are commendable, providing valuable assistance whenever challenges arise, and ensuring seamless operations.

The impact of its threat intelligence capabilities varies based on client needs and the nature of the data involved. To augment security, we sometimes integrate it with solutions like HCI.

The most valuable features of the solution are the UTP feature, IPS antivirus, and web filtering.

If more products convert their configuration to Fortinet configuration, it will be easy for migration.

The security policy in Fortinet FortiGate Cloud has notably enhanced network security. We will configure all the security features if they want direct access to the internal server. We will enable UTP features like file application scanning and SSL detection. Fortinet FortiGate Cloud is deployed in a public cloud because most clients use the virtual machine and the virtual firewall for protection.

Maybe more people would like to use it if AI can do more on the security front. I would recommend the solution to other people.

We use Fortinet FortiGate Cloud for Fortinet VPN channeling and site-to-site VPN. We also use it to block some traffic.

Fortinet FortiGate Cloud has security features, like DDoS protection and UTM. Fortinet FortiGate Cloud is user-friendly. We can easily identify and use its features. So there won't be any difficulty in configuring, installing, or using it on a daily basis.

It would be much better if Fortinet FortiGate Cloud allowed third-party integrations like multi factor-authentication.

Better security features should be included in the next release.

We use the solution for security purposes. We have an ISP. We connect the internet through the firewalls, and then we connect each firewall with the VPN to have on our network. We provide access for the students to the firewall.

It’s a good product overall. I have no problem with the service, with the defense, with management. All aspects of the product are pretty great.

It's user-friendly. I like the dashboard. I like the reports, and I like to download some data to help to analyze what's going on.

I don’t like the licensing. It’s grown too expensive, and we are considering leaving the service over as the price increases.

I would like to see Wi-Fi management inside the firewall.

I’ve used the solution for three years and other general Fortigate products for nine years.

The solution is very stable. There are no bugs or glitches, and it doesn’t crash or freeze.

The product can scale as needed.

We have around 3,000 users on the solution.

Technical support is good. We receive support from the ISP.

The initial setup was kind of difficult. We didn't do it. The company, our ISP, installed them and configured them initially.

It took two days to deploy everything.

We handle the maintenance. We establish the policy, and then only if we find something to fix, do we change that. If not, we don't touch that. We have four people capable of maintenance activities, one engineer, and three specialists.

We had our ISP handle the implementation originally.

The way they set up the licensing could be better. I don’t like how it is right now. It’s expensive.

We pay around $19,000 a year and do not pay for extra technical support.

We are looking into something new currently. The decision is not technical at all. I know this equipment is great. I like it. However, the licenses went up in cost for no reason. It's the same model. We are analyzing the Firebox M-Box 349, pfSense, et cetera.

I’m an end-user.

I’m not using the latest version. I’m in the middle of deciding if we will continue to use the product or change it out for something new.

I recommend the solution. I have had a great experience. It's not difficult to learn. The reporting and dashboards are good. I have a model that is medium sized, the FG 300D. However, I reviewed the other models, and they looked great too. It’s really just the price for us.
