In our recent experiences, Acronis Cyber Protect proved most valuable during instances of colleagues facing migration challenges due to ransomware impacts. In these situations, where servers and backups were affected, having a backup stored in external drives or other devices within our data centers posed risks. To address this vulnerability, we decided to shift to a cloud backup solution. Acronis CyberProtect has the deduplication feature, reducing server data by approximately sixty percent, which contributes significantly to cost savings. It supports various operating systems such as Linux, Windows 7, Windows 2019, and Windows 2022. It enables backups for file servers, specific applications, and even Gmail accounts, streamlining our backup processes. The tool requires just one or two individuals to manage effectively. Additionally, the day-to-day reporting feature enhances our monitoring capabilities. It sends alerts in case of backup failures, providing timely notifications via email. This eliminates the need to manually check the backup status by logging into the system Its dashboard is easy to navigate for daily operations. The UI simplifies tasks and is accessible on mobile devices. Attaching a machine involves obtaining a code, and entering it during registration. Understanding the functionalities takes about four to five hours. A person with four to five years of IT experience can easily comprehend all the functionalities of the platform within four to five hours, making it a user-friendly platform for administrators.
