They need to improve the planning section of Enterprise One. They need to improve the logs and need to write some sort of script that clears logs after so many days. There need to be proper error codes. The red alerts need to be explained a bit better. Te yellow alerts are fine. The product planning feature need improvement. There needs to be more functional. The sales forecasting needs to be improved. It is expensive.

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is a user-friendly ERP solution that is quite simple. It has a very straightforward interface, which allows end users, especially those with a finance background like me, to engage in finance areas such as vouchers, manual vouchers, email receipts, and GL analysis efficiently. This ERP system is easy to handle; anyone can learn it faster compared to other ERPs. For smaller companies or startups, I would recommend JD Edwards.

The only issue I see is Oracle's lack of focus on the product. When the sales team calls us, they try to promote OCI more than JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. They don't even talk about it. I feel there's no focus from Oracle Corporation themselves. The salespeople either don't know about it or don't talk about it. When they have something new, they only talk about EBS or OCI. This gives a feeling that there's no interest from Oracle. We don't see much new functionality being released or announced in the roadmap. There's ongoing support, but there's a lack of roadmap improvements. We don't see a future for the solution from Oracle's side. I think they may not continue it, although they claim they will for long. There's a lack of R&D and feature development in the product itself. There's a lack of interest, I would say, from Oracle itself. My experience is with people on the ground, but I think the salespeople represent the corporation. Salespeople here in Bahrain, UAE, and Egypt - no one talks about it. They all talk about OCI cloud and cloud products.
