Sentiment score
6.9
Celonis support is responsive with knowledgeable consultants, though response times vary; resources and Customer Success Managers enhance satisfaction.
Technical support is quite good, offering silver, gold, and diamond levels depending on the license.
Our internal COE provides support, and if needed, Automation Anywhere engineers are involved directly.
At times, some issues require additional research due to inadequate documentation.
Customer service was super helpful and super responsive during the deployment.
If I have a large contract, Celonis supports the partner with architect solutions or other technical profiles.

Scalability Issues

Sentiment score
7.5
Automation Anywhere is praised for its adaptability and scalability, efficiently handling diverse and complex automation processes across environments.
Sentiment score
7.5
Celonis is scalable and efficient for decision-making and process management, ideal for finance and enterprise, despite high scaling costs.
For Windows-based applications, it provides UI interface automation, which enhances its scalability.
Automation Anywhere is highly scalable for both horizontal and vertical expansions.
I would rate it a nine out of ten for scalability.
At the moment, I'd rate scalability six or seven out of ten.

Stability Issues

Sentiment score
7.1
Automation Anywhere is generally stable with praised features, though stability varies with infrastructure and some version-specific issues persist.
Sentiment score
8.1
Celonis is praised for its stability, with minimal downtime and issues, especially after cloud migration or setup adjustments.

The platform runs smoothly, and the deployment process is user-friendly in both UAT and production environments.
It usually does not lag or crash.
It's super stable.

Room For Improvement

Automation Anywhere faces integration challenges, requires interface improvements, enhanced AI, better support, and clearer licensing for effective deployment.
Celonis should enhance flexibility, integration, automation features, support, and UI, while reconsidering pricing and expanding AI and mobile capabilities.
It is better to write a Python script instead of using Automation Anywhere's package when dealing with Excel because it is buggy and tends to break.
When I use a multi-structure with conditions to switch from one bot to another, successful debugging of the entire process is not feasible.
Improving features linked to Gen AI and data processing could reduce dependency on ETL processes, allowing more tasks to be handled within Automation Anywhere.
Ultimately, I need niche expertise, combining strong SAP knowledge with Celonis competency.
It is essential for the Celonis solution to have their services and solution models integrated with GenAI.

Setup Cost

Automation Anywhere's pricing is high, affecting small to mid-sized businesses, despite potential savings from cloud and bulk discounts.
Celonis pricing targets enterprise clients, scaling by data usage, ranging from $15,000 to $200,000+, with high-value large-scale benefits.
It is more cost-efficient compared to all other RPA platforms.
This means an initial investment may not yield returns for a year, which is often not feasible due to budget constraints.
If you consider the tasks that we can get done using this, the pricing is reasonable and affordable.
I think it's relatively expensive, but it's also good.

Valuable Features

Automation Anywhere provides user-friendly, versatile automation tools and integration capabilities to enhance productivity and streamline repetitive tasks.
Celonis excels in process efficiency with intuitive tools, real-time insights, and seamless integration, enhancing decision-making and analytics.
I can set it up to provide users with a form to fill in all required information, and then the bot operates based on those specifications.
Automation Anywhere has a drag-and-drop feature eliminating the need for extensive coding.
The OCR feature in Automation Anywhere is the best I have encountered, even better than Google.
It provides a visualization of the process itself, giving a very good synthesis of performance and helping me find improvements.
It's the first solution that combines business competence and capabilities with technological capabilities.

Terminal emulator enhances efficiency while error handling needs improvement
There are improvements needed in error handling processes, as currently, they rely on start and end error commands. A more strategic approach could enhance efficiency. While the implementation of a structured development approach has been introduced, further enhancements could be made to accommodate non-technical users better, perhaps by making the platform more accessible and user-friendly through a flowchart or diagram-based setup. Automation Anywhere can be moderately challenging for business users without technical skills. While the platform offers some drag-and-drop functionality, building automation requires a strong understanding of logical operations and scripting. To become proficient, users may need to invest time in learning basic coding concepts or pursuing relevant certifications. This learning curve can mean that users typically require a few months of training before they can effectively build and implement automation.

Allows users to go through data easily and visualize processes and offers good scalability
I would rate the scalability a ten out of ten. It is very easy to scale. It works globally. I can analyze data globally. I can go see the process end-to-end for various streams. It's a very good tool. We have high-profile managers and directors using Celonis for the outcome. They are not working with Celonis per se, but they are using the outcomes and the results of the website. There are around 50 end users using this solution in my company. It's used every single day. The data is uploaded daily automatically from SAP. So, all the data is gathered, and the functionality gives value. We plan to increase the further usage. We want to extend it to another team, but it's about budget and cost. So, we will see how we will do that.
