Offers profiling and address standardization but can be complicated
Informatica Data Quality has its data warehouse, primarily using Oracle and some SQL databases. You need a database to host the data. The cleansed version of the data is stored in the data warehouse. It integrates with PowerCenter and other Informatica tools. The integration details can be complex, but a regional setup is involved in this process. Profiling smaller datasets, such as 10,000-50,000 records, worked fine. However, unexpected issues could arise with larger datasets, such as thousands of records or more, especially with tables containing many columns. Handling tables with fifty or more columns can be challenging, even in Excel. A mismatch in data types could cause the entire system to crash. Continual enhancements are being made to address these issues, which can be unique to specific industries like finance and healthcare.

An integration tool that is highly compatible and easy to maintain
Dealing with the large file sizes has occasionally been a challenge, though we have found workarounds. But dealing with large file sizes could be easy in integrations. I have also come across schema files where headers, footers, and bodies are there, but it's not a valid schema. None of the MSCAs are defined properly. In such cases, we have to think of multiple workarounds, such as splitting or merging. But this is a standard requirement for organizations, so custom solutions should be provided. There are cases when the systems don't expect additional MSCAs, or they expect headers, footers, or tags with different values. But this is not a proper XML. So if we are dealing with XML conversions, mapping, and integrations, we have to do some custom work. These are solutions that Oracle can provide.

Pros

"The user interface which is very easy to use if we have any problems to solve."
"Informatica Data Quality is a product that is worth the money."
"REST API: Excellent for scripting control and reporting mechanisms"
"We have a lot of integrations, and it's very easy to create integrations. They have a lot of connectors."
"I like that Informatica MDM has robust matching technology. Informatica MDM is also porting the external Java applications for validations. I can consider that a must-have. It is also exposed to Rest API calls, and we can engage in real-time integrations with any third-party systems."
"It allows the creation of identical tasks that can be applied across multiple tables, ranging from 100 to even 1,000 tables."
"Informatica is good for integrating data and cloud applications. We have connectors for integrating cloud applications like Salesforce. You can quickly integrate anything with an exposed API or a REST API. The industry is increasingly shifting to the cloud, so we need more products that can connect to cloud-based applications. The integration is seamless and works in real time. It's also secure because you don't need to expose databases or tables."
"A great product enrichment tool."
"There are many functionalities. Fundamentally, it provides all the ready-to-use services for consumption between SaaS and other applications."
"Provides various ways to secure services as well as providing extensive support."
"The initial setup is easy."
"Oracle Integration Cloud Service integrates well and is user-friendly. If you are not a developer or ops engineer you can still use the solution with ease. You do not need to have developers' knowledge, you can easily adapt and learn quickly to integrate the services. They have good documentation."
"The product's initial setup phase is simple."
"People are able to scale up, learn it quickly, and start delivering."
"In our customers' organizations, Oracle Integration Cloud Service mainly integrates their other applications with the Oracle Fusion stack. It's very handy in scenarios where they want to seamlessly maintain data flow between applications, with business tools and logic validations in place."
"The lack of features in something like Oracle Integration Cloud leaves some room for leads implementation partners like us"

Cons

"There could be a lot more application integration."
"Its pricing model can be improved. The response time from technical support can also be improved."
"It is not easy to set up and configure the tool."
"Error reporting and debugging need improvement."
"The UI is terrible and not user-friendly."
"It needs to be a little more intuitive but it’s really not bad."
"The main issue probably has nothing to do with end users, but installation can definitely be simplified."
"The user interface of the product needs to be improved"
"Now the platform is not built in a way that you can define."
"The solution is expensive."
"With JSON, if the tool provides support similar to XML, then it would be helpful."
"Oracle Integration Cloud Service can improve file handling. Currently, our real-time file polling limitation is 10 MB, if that size can be increased it would be helpful. For example, increasing the size from 10 MB to 1 GB."
"Sometimes, the tech support is slow to get back to us. We have had to wait up to two weeks for a response."
"The bulk processing needs improvement."
"Oracle Integration Cloud Service can improve the downloading and uploading of files. I've submitted this issue to the Oracle Idea Labs. The issue is from the front end of Oracle Integration Cloud, we cannot download or upload a file directly or drag and drop it."
"There are a few features that we noticed are not in the cloud. There are some improvements needed. One example is the graphical user interface that needs to improve, it could be easier to use."
