Useful for agile management and project tracking
Setting up on Windows is very easy, while on Linux, it's a bit more complicated. I would rate it around a seven out of ten. It is possible to deploy it both on the cloud and on-premises. The deployment duration varied based on whether it was on the cloud or a server. If it was on the cloud, it took slightly less time, while installing it on a server took anywhere from ten minutes to an hour.

Creates customizable systems and improve team collaboration
Notion is a very flexible and customizable platform, allowing users to create whatever they need. The most impactful feature for project management is the ability to invite multiple client stakeholders without complication. Once I understand the basics, it's easy to use despite an initial learning curve. It also significantly improves team collaboration through customized views and visualizations of data.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution offers a lot of plugins."
"It's easy to escalate the issues to the product development team."
"It's easy to use, and it also offers excellent notifications."
"The burndown chart is also helpful when it comes to reporting and allows us to know where we are going, especially during development."
"The dashboards are useful."
"We've found the scalability to be good."
"Jira is a pretty capable product, and a lot of features are valuable. We value being able to set up separate projects and configure teams in them, set up sprints, and manage our sprints with its history tracking. These are all very useful features. It has been a very popular product for our work."
"I've never had a bug or a bug message that I needed to open a ticket for."
"Notion is a very flexible and customizable platform, allowing users to create whatever they need."
"The product has a valuable feature for databases. It has a table and a calendar view and saves various documents in the system."
"Notion is heavily used in my workflow."
"The initial setup is easy."
"We can install it on mobile phones, making it feasible to manage productivity."
"Notion is a great tool for note-keeping and note-sharing."
"Notion has a lot of integrations."
"The ability to structure data is one of the most essential functions of Notion."

Cons

"We'd like to use it with non-Agile projects in the future, however, right now, it is a very Agile-focused product."
"We'd like to see Jira have more integration with a development ID."
"Lacks field-level permission in the cloud version."
"There's a really steep learning curve for configuration."
"There should be a way to look for specific comments. When we have thousands of comments on a Jira ticket, there is no way to look at the comments of a specific type. In the comments, if there is a way to put a tag, it would be helpful. For example, when there are a lot of lengthy discussions happening on a particular ticket, there could be a conclusion tag or something like that to indicate a conclusion. It would help in sorting the comments based on a certain category, such as conclusion."
"Because I am a developer, I would like integration with Git Source Code Management so that for tickets, we can reference the code where the change has happened and where the issue is. This feature might be there, and I probably haven't discovered it."
"The performance and stability are visibly degrading since the database has been growing every year."
"The only thing that JIRA doesn't for us is release management in a way that I can create a list of versions easily."
"It is complicated to connect Notion with external systems."
"The main problem with Notion is that it's not flexible enough for all of the use cases we intend to address. For instance, it is challenging to focus on a single KPI as it's mandatory to have a chart for this purpose, complicating some of our use cases."
"Adding more color options to the application would enhance its usability and flexibility, allowing users to better customize their content"
"User management needs improvement."
"It can be difficult to contact the people at Notion."
"If the internet or Notion's servers are down, I cannot access information. This is a big disadvantage."
"User management needs improvement. It's difficult to determine what information is private. It's a bit complicated for me."
"The only problem I experience is that it often hangs. I might find myself trying to load a new page, but I am unable to move from one page to another due to frequent hanging."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Almost everybody uses JIRA nowadays because it is the most cost-effective solution."
"Its price is fine, but we would like it to be less expensive. We are paying on a yearly basis."
"The standard package of Jira is for 100 users. They should offer more packages for other increments, such as 500 or 2,000. In my previous company, there was a free package that provided a minimal number of users."
"We have an enterprise license that includes cloud service and support."
"The basic price of Jira is reasonable, but for each plugin, we have to keep paying more. When you add it all up, it can be expensive. The main problem we face is we are forced to purchases plugin licenses for users who are not going to use them. For example, we have Jira licenses for approximately 450 people but if we only want a purchase a plugin for few people it is mandatory to buy the license for the 450 people who have Jira licensees. This is a problem because sometimes we need plugins for the product manager or for people in charge of the report, not everyone. For us, it can be very expensive in the end, they should alter this policy to allow plugins for only a set number of licenses."
"It is very cheap if you forego the local instance and stick to the cloud."
"We currently have ten users, and it is free for ten users."
"The price of Jira could be lower."
"The product has good pricing."
"The pricing structure is quite reasonable, and the basic plan covers the most essential features."
"Notion is free to use."
"The product has good pricing."
"The product is affordable compared to other platforms."
"The solution's pricing can seem steep, especially when you work with a lot of people. If you are working on your own or for another business, the solution's price won't affect you much."
"Notion offers a free plan that covers most functionalities. Clients are only prompted to upgrade if they require AI capabilities, priced at $10 for unlimited usage, or if they need to add team members, typically around $10 per member."
"I rate the product's pricing a three out of ten. We only need to pay for it if we use it in the workspace."
