Centralized control effectively manages devices while updates require powered-on systems
I use Bitdefender GravityZone EDR for the grooming industry. It is primarily utilized for the office environment The features I find most effective for threat detection include centralized control policy distribution and the control of independent devices, such as printers, laptops, and desktops…

We can make more informed decisions on whether an action is malicious
The ease of use and dashboards are improving. We came in at a time when they were developing a new dashboard screen. Therefore, we have had some confusing times between the old and new dashboards. Knowing how the new one works, I have seen vast improvements with it. While the product is very good, there are still some areas for improvement. The initial triage area could be a bit simpler. They get into the weeds real fast; it gets very detailed very fast. I am still looking for an easier triage layer on top with the ability to dig deeper. They are improving on this because I have seen some improvements in the user interface that helps with this. Part of it was moving two different screens into one, merging the two together. It is very good, but it is very technically detailed and would be harder for an entry-level person to decipher. However, improvements are being made. It leverages indicators of behavior to help us remediate faster against attacks. Sometimes, I wish there was more detail on why they consider it malicious.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The tool alerts about lateral internet movements."
"The product is stable. It has a small footprint, but it does a lot of heavy lifting."
"The nice thing about Bitdefender is that it has modules and layers that you can add as the requirement becomes more sophisticated and dangerous or threatening."
"The initial setup is easy."
"It efficiently investigates security incidents."
"The most valuable features are the anti-malware and firewall policies. The runtime scans and execution have been beneficial to our business."
"It's a very stable solution."
"I like that you can manage all the time and you can uninstall and install everything via the web console."
"Immediately we can pick up the computers in the network if any malicious operation that is triggered."
"The most valuable feature is the capability of the command used by the machine so that we see the kind of performance that is running."
"We didn't have the visibility that we now have. It has increased our visibility by a lot. So, we put a lot more time into really looking at our environment and what is happening throughout our different networks. It has increased our visibility by around fivefold."
"The initial setup was easy and straightforward."
"The solution is efficient."
"The initial setup was straightforward."
"Cybereason's threat hunting and investigation are the most valuable features. Threat hunting is a user-friendly feature that keeps you safe. Investigation offers an added value that I haven't seen with other EDR services. It allows you to find specific policy problems within your environment."
"What I like most about Cybereason Endpoint Detection & Response is the support because the support is good. The solution is also easy to use, and it has a dashboard. Everything is good, and there's no problem with it."

Cons

"The stability must be improved."
"The software itself is solid. It would be better if it was more of a real-time solution, like SentinelOne. The one thing that holds me back on the SentinelOne side is that I can blacklist websites and stuff like that, but it's not as granular as Bitdefender. With Bitdefender, I feel like I have more control over what I can whitelist and blacklist."
"Bitfender could improve their modules on the server. For example, Bitdefender doesn't have content filters or firewall modules on the server. It would be great if it had a networking module and a content filter module at the workstations."
"Sometimes, the platform takes a while to allow connectivity on the Mac endpoints."
"Application Control should be available on the cloud."
"The firewall security could be better."
"I would like to see the capability for remote installation added, in particular for servers."
"If we could directly push the agent to the script, it'll be very good."
"There can be problems with the EDI."
"Ad hoc higher-level reporting to senior management can be improved or can be implemented. That's definitely an area of improvement that they need to focus on."
"The network coverage becomes an issue most of the time."
"I would like to see improvements on the operational side, specifically in grouping."
"While the product is very good, there are still some areas for improvement. The initial triage area could be a bit simpler. They get into the weeds real fast; it gets very detailed very fast. I am still looking for an easier triage layer on top with the ability to dig deeper."
"They need to improve their technical support services."
"I feel that the product lacks reporting features and needs improvement."
"Reporting could be a bit more granular so that we had the ability to check regions and countries. I just noticed that, for instance, if I look at our servers, it's either "contained" or it's "not contained". I don't have the option, for instance, to look at countries. It only allows me to look at users as one big group."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Bitdefender GravityZone EDR is cost-effective and has the best pricing."
"Bitdefender GravityZone EDR is cheaper than Kaspersky. There are no additional costs apart from licensing ones."
"The solution's pricing is average."
"We take the subscription. Only we're taking that GravityZone and protection of the environment and the system. We didn't subscribe to the detection response."
"There is a fully functional trial that we used and we didn't have any issues."
"Bitdefender GravityZone Ultra's pricing is competitive in the market."
"The solution is affordable."
"The price is per license per endpoint. The price is different for everyone, but we find the price is cheap for us."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the pricing an eight."
"The pricing is manageable."
"In terms of cost, this is a good choice for our needs."
"We considered a few other solutions. Some were ridiculously overpriced, while others didn't have solutions for Mac endpoints. That was a deal-breaker because most of our organization is on Mac. It came down to two vendors: Cybereason and another. They had similar pitches and almost identical approaches, but in the end, Cybereason gave us the best value for our money."
"I had to go through a third-party to purchase it, which I wasn't really pleased about."
"This product is somewhat expensive and should be cheaper."
"Though it is not the cheapest solution but it fits our budget. We pay an annual licensing fee."
"I do not have experience with the licensing of the product."
