Centralized control effectively manages devices while updates require powered-on systems
I use Bitdefender GravityZone EDR for the grooming industry. It is primarily utilized for the office environment The features I find most effective for threat detection include centralized control policy distribution and the control of independent devices, such as printers, laptops, and desktops…

User-friendly interface simplifies management while performance issues during scanning need addressing
Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business is easy to implement and has a user-friendly interface. It stands out as an antivirus and malware protection solution due to its extensive feeds and resources for antivirus signatures. These capabilities enable effective malware protection. Additionally, it offers scalability as any endpoint added to Active Directory can be easily integrated by Kaspersky Security Center. Its straightforward deployment and ease of management are other valuable features. It does not require an advanced engineer to manage, and resources are readily available online, making it accessible and scalable.

The solution has given us visibility into compliance within our whole system and helped us ensure everything is updated
Symantec's application security module needs some improvement. You need to create a lot of fingerprints for application security. For instance, let's say I have different brands of ATMs in my environment, like Wincor and NCR. I use GRG to deploy an application control to whitelist some applications. I have to get the exact image of the different models of ATMs. When I tested in the past, some machines would not connect to the server without that. Only the approved software on the ATM should run. Anything outside that should not even come up at all. We did this so that an outside person doesn't introduce malicious software to the ATM. That's the essence of locking down with application control. Using Symantec for application control has been hectic, so I use Carbon Black to do the lockdown. Checking that data security will work fine with Carbon Black. Carbon Black worked fine. Setting up approval in Carbon Black works differently than Symantec. In Symantec, we first need the fingerprints of the applications running underneath. Before setting up Carbon Black, you first install the agent, allowing it to learn the environment. It will analyze all the software's behavior and provide recommendations for what should be allowed. It's more straightforward, whereas configuring application control in Symantec is a bit cumbersome.

"The feature that I have found most valuable is its deployment. It is easy to centrally deploy. You can deploy it on the Administration Console then deploy it to the different endpoint machines without specifically deploying it manually on each machine. Its deployment is really user friendly."
"The interface is really good. It's nice and simple."
"The solution provides protection for all our systems, file servers, endpoints and domain controllers."
"One of the main features of this solution is the fast scanning capabilities."
"The main feature of this solution is it is easy to use."

"It has many features, like deploying a package to many clients, an MDM solution, etc."
"Symantec End-User Endpoint Security is easy to use."
"We are using it on 1,600 computers. All the systems and servers are protected with the Symantec solution. Our environment has an uptime of 99.9% because we never had any attack or issue related to viruses. There is zero downtime."
"The tool has predefined rules, like which actions to block or allow. This makes it easy because I don't have to figure out what policies to deploy."
"Symantec Endpoint Security offers many valuable features, such as file explosion, application learning, DLP, injection detection, and EDR solutions for traffic control."
"The solution, especially in older versions, is quite stable."
"I think the key thing for me, is interoperability, in that you can deploy it to Windows, Mac, and Linux. That's been a really important feature in the last two years. Now there's one management console to cover all three OSs."
"The solution can be scaled to handle different threats."
"Symantec is very user-friendly, the interface and functions are very simple for everyone to understand. Additionally, it's a very robust system."

Cons

"The main area for improvement is the dashboard of the cloud console, where we manage security policies and groupings. It needs to be more flexible and informative."
"In terms of improvement of the solution, it could have better features. For example, having a firewall within. This way we would only need one solution."
"The cryptosystem could be improved a bit."
"They should include the Hebrew language for its technical support in terms of communication."
"In the future, maybe this will need to morph into AI threat intelligence."
"What would make Bitdefender GravityZone Ultra better is if Bitdefender employed more firewall policies and added even more features to the product."
"The pricing should be improved. The user interface has been improved on a yearly basis. The key issue is that they need to look at their pricing."
"Bitdefender GravityZone Ultra should include more advanced features than their competitors in the market for the auto-detection of viruses and threats within the environment."
"Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business doesn't have a built-in DLP (data loss prevention) solution."
"This product could be improved by integration with Linux. The one limitation this product has is that it's not compatible with and doesn't offer protection for Linux servers. It could also be easier to configure."
"From time to time, some users loose connection via the Network Agent."
"When it comes to handling the expiration of licenses, the solution should give a company more time to set up a renewal. It happens too abruptly right now."
"It would be better if it were more secure and stable. I would also like to see more powerful features in the next release."
"I would like to see enhancements made with respect to the administration."
"The reporting portion of the solution is quite weak."
"There should be some AI involved. We already have machine learning involved in recent releases but machine learning should be more enhanced in the upcoming versions."
"The technical support could improve because when you reach level one support there is a lot of delays."
"Nowadays, threats are changing, and they are moving more towards script control and zero-day attacks. So, we would like to have more control similar to an EDR solution. Symantec Endpoint Protection has certainly come a long way as a traditional antivirus, but because the threats are changing, we would like to have more EDR features so that we have a detailed view of the source from where the infection entered the environment and whether it has tried to connect any other endpoint. It should provide such a detailed view for investigation. It should protect against zero-day threats, etc. These are the key enhancements that can make it a complete solution for any enterprise. Currently, we have seen organizations going for two solutions: antivirus and EDR. With both these capabilities, it would be a complete package."
"We are not satisfied with this solution. It needs a lot of improvements. It doesn't detect the most recent malware and unknown threats. With most of the users working from home these days, there is also a need for some extra security layer. That's why we are thinking of going for a better solution that will take care of all of our endpoints and work from home situation. Symantec also has to work on EDI technology. Vendors like Palo Alto and Cisco are coming with their own intelligence and cloud infrastructure in which unknown threats are regularly watched and monitored, and they are reported to the admin."
"The solution could be more secure and scalable."
"There was an administrative feature, which was available in the previous version, which has been removed. We would like that feature to be added again."
"They should work on making the virus definition file lighter."
"One suggestion I have for both regular and mobile would be to collect all the information about installed software, such as versions, and give that information to the manager to help with software management. That would be a huge advantage for everyone who administers these tools."
"I would like to see fileless attack protection."
