Admin gets the information about which computer has been infected and good to use for servers and endpoints
The important factor is that after implementing Bitdefender, we haven't found any attacks. It has a vaccine for the RDP protocol, which is specific to this. We do some customization, but it does not lack any protection. Compared to older versions, we have not found any degradation in performance in the newer versions from the last three to five years, whether for graphical or normal users. They're not complaining that we are facing problems like memory issues. Bitdefender is also customizable and granular, but once you install it, it keeps running. The admin gets the information about which computer has been infected and can take action accordingly. On a regular basis, Bitdefender's AI capability is okay. But you cannot leave some decisions to AI. You must have control. You have to look at what you're filtering, as it can be a false positive. But on a regular basis, AI can be helpful.

Easy to set up with good behavior-based analysis but needs a single-click recovery option
Most organizations are currently looking for a scheduled scan to meet their compliance needs. Other players like Symantec and Trend Micro, FireEye, et cetera, are still providing the signature-based regular scheduled scans also, which is not available in CrowdStrike. That is one parameter that we feel should be there in CrowdStrike. CrowdStrike is only working on the dynamic or the files under execution. CrowdStrike is not scanning the static files. The product could be more accurate in terms of performance. We'd like to have a single-click recovery option. With some machines getting corrupted by malware, we need an easy way to start with a blank slate if things happen. That one feature should be there in the EDR.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"What I appreciate most about Bitdefender are its web content filtering, blocking malicious sites, and its ability to thwart brute force attacks on open ports."
"I find Bitdefender to be very light. When we were using the other versions, users would complain that they would make the computers slow. But since we have deployed Bitdefender, we haven't had that."
"The solution is very scalable."
"The cloud console is good and the tool is effective in protection."
"Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security has a lot of telemetry that allows me to really see what's going on with the device."
"The most valuable feature is the IDS."
"In terms of threat detection, I would give it a ten out of ten since Bitdefender manages to catch threats that other products miss."
"Protection is the most valuable feature."
"The UI is simple and self-explanatory. Everything is easy to understand."
"The OverWatch is the most valuable feature to me. It's a 24x7 monitoring service, and when they see anything suspicious in my environment, they will investigate."
"The product provides good monitoring features."
"The most valuable aspects of CrowdStrike Falcon for me are its device observability, identification, and software and OS recognition."
"The detection is very effective."
"I like Falcon's threat detection and endpoint investigation features. It's a user-friendly solution."
"The DLP is the most valuable feature of CrowdStrike Falcon."
"The platform is very scalable."

Cons

"The security features as per customers' requirements should be improved."
"I think it would be helpful if I could get a live console directly on the machine. Additionally, if I could run scripts on the machines to respond to any incidents, that would be a great feature."
"There are compatibility concerns as Bitdefender does not support Windows 7."
"The risk management tool does not have reporting, which I feel to be a huge mistake."
"Sometimes the response from Technical Support takes more time than usual because level three support is not in Brazil."
"My main concern is that it's a bit heavy for some devices. Like Kaspersky or McAfee, it uses more RAM or memory. Similar to that, it causes issues for users and their own resources, similar to that. If you deploy on old legacy devices with only 1GB of RAM, then it could be a problem."
"The live monitoring service from Bitdefender's center is expensive and has room for improvement."
"At this point in time, the download footprint is a bit big."
"The solution could improve the policies themselves. It would be helpful if there were cost-cutting measures."
"This solution is relatively expensive."
"The management reporting functionality needs to be improved."
"CrowdStrike costs a little more than its competitors."
"Enhancements in reporting and forensic analysis could benefit the product."
"Sometimes CrowdStrike changes the GUI, and they need to be better at informing us and providing guidance concerning that."
"It would be nice if the dashboard had some more information upfront, and looked a little better."
"They respond quickly on the weekdays, but the weekend response times are slower."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The licensing costs can vary."
"The price is fair."
"The tool's pricing structure is good. We use an annual subscription."
"The pricing is reasonable when I compare it to other security solutions, particularly Kaspersky, it stands out. It offers an excellent solution at a more favorable price point."
"The tool is not expensive and pricing is competitive."
"The general basic price is roughly $1.20 for a license with Bitdefender."
"It has very flexible licensing costs, and it's modular-based."
"The product's pricing is okay and it is yearly."
"The solution's pricing is great for us."
"The pricing is not bad. It's on the higher end of the market, but you get what you pay for."
"I do not have experience with the cost or licensing of the product."
"We are on an annual subscription for the solution. There are not any additional costs."
"I am not aware of the price, but I believe that it is among the most expensive XDRs out there. Of course, this is dependent on the features you choose. Depending on the features, the price might increase."
"The pricing on CrowdStrike is per license. It was about $42 per seat yearly."
"The pricing is definitely high but you get what you pay for, and it's not so high that it prices itself out of the market."
"When comparing to Microsoft, CrowdStrike Falcon is more expensive."
