Offers unified interface, which also helps you scan Outlook email
My main concern is that it's a bit heavy for some devices. Like Kaspersky or McAfee, it uses more RAM or memory. Similar to that, it causes issues for users and their own resources, similar to that. If you deploy on old legacy devices with only 1GB of RAM, then it could be a problem. Recent versions shouldn't be a problem with at least 16GB of RAM. Bitdefender should have its own app security built in. After integrating SIEM solutions and log collecting, they could have app security built on top of that. For each application, especially when dealing with financial data, if there was an option for data breach control, that would be fantastic. Because nowadays, people are using the internet from home, and we don't know what network they're connecting to. For situations where the network security is questionable, having a security control built into the antivirus would be essential. It's a common requirement nowadays.

We can make more informed decisions on whether an action is malicious
The ease of use and dashboards are improving. We came in at a time when they were developing a new dashboard screen. Therefore, we have had some confusing times between the old and new dashboards. Knowing how the new one works, I have seen vast improvements with it. While the product is very good, there are still some areas for improvement. The initial triage area could be a bit simpler. They get into the weeds real fast; it gets very detailed very fast. I am still looking for an easier triage layer on top with the ability to dig deeper. They are improving on this because I have seen some improvements in the user interface that helps with this. Part of it was moving two different screens into one, merging the two together. It is very good, but it is very technically detailed and would be harder for an entry-level person to decipher. However, improvements are being made. It leverages indicators of behavior to help us remediate faster against attacks. Sometimes, I wish there was more detail on why they consider it malicious.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security has a lot of telemetry that allows me to really see what's going on with the device."
"The installation is easy and it takes approximately a few hours. We are deploying it from a Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tool. All you need to do is click on it and the installation is complete."
"You will always have a backup copy of any policy the Bitdefender user defines."
"What I appreciate most about Bitdefender are its web content filtering, blocking malicious sites, and its ability to thwart brute force attacks on open ports."
"The domain integrator functionality is particularly noteworthy, allowing me to leverage my existing network infrastructure."
"The most valuable feature is the IDS."
"The cloud console is good and the tool is effective in protection."
"The solution is very scalable."
"It gives all the information in a clear response."
"The initial setup is not overly complicated."
"The initial setup was easy and straightforward."
"They do a very good job of providing multi-stage visualizations of malicious operations that immediately show all attack details across all devices and users. Since it is MalOp-centric model, you can see if there has been a similar operation across multiple machines. If it is the same thing appearing on multiple machines, you see all the machines and users affected in one screen."
"Cybereason absolutely enables us to mitigate and isolate on the fly. Our managed detection response telemetry has dropped dramatically since we began using it. It's very top-of-mind. We were running some tabletop exercises and none of the detections were getting triggered by the managed security services provider. So we needed to find a solution that would trigger high-fidelity alerts. That was Cybereason and it dramatically changed our landscape from the detection and response perspective."
"What I find most valuable is the clarity of the platform."
"What I like most about Cybereason Endpoint Detection & Response is the support because the support is good. The solution is also easy to use, and it has a dashboard. Everything is good, and there's no problem with it."
"The initial setup process is straightforward."

Cons

"The price of the bandwidth here is very expensive compared to European countries."
"The tool needs to improve patch and vulnerability management."
"The lack of detecting security threats and high memory usage need to be improved."
"Overall, Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security is quite good. It always has new features which customers can use for free, so I can't say that something is missing in the solution, though one area for improvement is that the cloud version of Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security still can't connect to a central SIEM. The on-premises version has that capability, but the cloud version doesn't."
"The price has increased marginally recently and I would prefer if they didn't raise rates."
"The risk management tool does not have reporting, which I feel to be a huge mistake."
"Machines with low memory and CPU may experience slow performance."
"Potential areas for improvement could be more accessible and immediate support for critical situations, especially considering the regulatory challenges in healthcare."
"Ad hoc higher-level reporting to senior management can be improved or can be implemented. That's definitely an area of improvement that they need to focus on."
"It should be more stable, and the sensor needs improvement in terms of connectivity."
"There can be problems with the EDI."
"Compared to our previous endpoint, we have a lot more false positives and a lot more duplication of alerts. So we're chasing more alerts."
"While the product is very good, there are still some areas for improvement. The initial triage area could be a bit simpler. They get into the weeds real fast; it gets very detailed very fast. I am still looking for an easier triage layer on top with the ability to dig deeper."
"It initially took some time to deploy."
"The integration with Microsoft solutions and Microsoft capabilities needs to be improved."
"The reporting feature needs improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool's pricing structure is good. We use an annual subscription."
"The solution is reasonable and is nominally priced in accordance with the features that offer to the market."
"We pay for an annual license which is affordable."
"You don't have to pay extra after buying the product."
"In terms of the licensing costs associated with Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security, the agreement was made nearly three years ago, but from what I recall, the figure was around €6,000 to €7,000 for three years, including support for two hundred endpoints."
"The tool is not expensive and pricing is competitive."
"Its price has gone up since our last renewal. My renewal fee has gone from $517.99 in 2018 for 3 years to $739.99 when it renews this year in July. I love the product, but a price increase of over 40% is a bit exorbitant."
"Good in terms of pricing and flexibility."
"I had to go through a third-party to purchase it, which I wasn't really pleased about."
"In terms of pricing, it's a good solution."
"I do not have experience with the licensing of the product."
"In terms of cost, this is a good choice for our needs."
"We considered a few other solutions. Some were ridiculously overpriced, while others didn't have solutions for Mac endpoints. That was a deal-breaker because most of our organization is on Mac. It came down to two vendors: Cybereason and another. They had similar pitches and almost identical approaches, but in the end, Cybereason gave us the best value for our money."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the pricing an eight."
"Though it is not the cheapest solution but it fits our budget. We pay an annual licensing fee."
"The pricing is manageable."
