Easy to set up with good security and rapidly improving capabilities
In terms of stability, the performance parameters do come into play. It's good on the regular office front, however, on the development side, if somebody is using it in a development environment, they need to make some configuration changes in terms of what directories should be excluded from the real-time scanning. I had to do that kind of stuff. I don't do that with the Microsoft product, for example. It runs, and it scans the entire system with no issues. The solution is stable. Regular updates were available in the product versions. They were updated, and they gave regular signature updates also so that the product checked all the boxes.

Used for endpoint security, ransomware protection, virus protection, and server security
Intercept X Endpoint is deployed on the cloud in our organization. Previously, we had two ransomware attacks when we were using Kaspersky as an endpoint security. We didn't face any ransomware attacks after using Intercept X Endpoint for endpoint security. Intercept X Endpoint has simplified our malware detection. Since we have already implemented the policies in the cloud, all the malware is automatically detected. The solution also detects and removes new malware that can also come from the cloud AI engine. Integrating Intercept X Endpoint with our current security infrastructure was very easy. In my opinion, Sophos is a better solution because we are using Sophos endpoint security and network security. These two things sync with each other and monitor the packets and network traffic. No other vendor has simultaneous devices to check everything. I would recommend the solution to other users. Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

"Easy to use security solution, helps to secure connected devices against viruses in the digital world."
"Technical support has been very good. They are helpful and responsive."
"The dashboard is useful for management, and its cost for the features is hard to beat."
"The inspection feature allows complete monitoring"
"All of our devices are integrated with the solution."
"This solution does not slow down your systems. It is very light."
"The performance of the solution is very good it does not impact my hardware and is user-friendly."
"The most valuable features are the range and restriction."
"The most valuable features of Sophos Intercept X are the minimal configuration needed for the end user and the central view of all the endpoints. There are plenty of tools to control and manage the endpoints. Additionally, there is the capability of connecting the endpoint to the CLI."
"The solution has very good usability."
"We find all features valuable. It has zero-day protection, which is the most valuable feature of Intercept X. We have Intercept X with EDR. EDR is a very important feature. It gives an idea about the source of a particular attack. An administrator gets to know everything, which helps in understanding the things that need to be done or protected in the organization. Based on this information, an administrator can decide what needs to open or allowed in the network. Without EDR, Intercept X is like an antivirus, and the administrator won't get to know the things going on at the organizational level. I recommend purchasing an EDR solution for every organization."
"The solution is scalable."
"Machine learning is used to detect the threat and it does so by prioritizing the suspicious activities."
"Malware protection and application blocking are absolutely great. The DLP and malware features are very helpful. It is also very user-friendly, reliable, and scalable. It is easy to set up. We are also happy with its price and support."
"It is easy to interact with, and its cost is also good."

Cons

"I don't know if it's possible but I'm always looking for better protection."
"ESET Endpoint Security lacks some advanced functionalities and features which would be useful to be interconnected with the solutions we use, such as Microsoft 365."
"Everything has some kind of room for improvement."
"I would like for ESET to create a central management solution. This would make it practical to use the internet for medium-sized networks."
"We do get false positives."
"The initial setup of ESET Endpoint Security can be complicated when you get involved with encryption."
"After we did the initial setup of ESET Endpoint Security, we had to inform users about popups. This solution comes with an in-built software firewall and there can be some popups coming. We must tell the user not to keep, allow, or block anything. That is the main issue on the user side we have faced. The user's experience may not be as good."
"The product could have better integration with third-party products that would help extend functionality."
"They might want to offer an MSP model for licensing, to offer the solution as a software as a service."
"I'm not clear on what features need improvement. Everything is mostly fine."
"I have not done it, but integrating it with authenticating the users on the Windows system looks a bit complicated to me. It could be because I don't understand it."
"The ADR functionalities feel like they aren't mature enough. It hasn't been a long time since Sophos has offered reproduction. Due to the fact that it's so young, it has fewer functionalities than other and more mature ADR solutions."
"They need to focus on their SLA or technical support. They also need to focus on their UI. They should also improve their content filtering tool and update it so that correct categories are there. Sometimes, when I want to block an online gaming website, it is not shown under the correct category. It is shown under another category. They need to review their content filtering tool on a bi-weekly or monthly basis and update the sites and categories. This will be really helpful for them."
"I am not very satisfied with the product's reporting overall, and it needs improvement in this area."
"It has a performance hit on a local laptop. There's an agent installed and we are bothered a lot by it because it seems to be using a lot of computer resources."
"The tool is not stable on Linux systems."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The cost is a very reasonable. When compared with other products, the price is low (though not very low)."
"I rate the product’s pricing a three out of ten. It is neither cheap nor expensive for our clients."
"It is not expensive; the pricing model is fine."
"It's a cost-effective product"
"It probably is less expensive than Sophos."
"I pay about $100 a year, so it's really cheap. I'm sure that if I need something else beyond more technical support, I'll need to pay more."
"Pricing per month, for security services as apps in CEE pricing: up to €2 monthly is OK."
"The price of ESET Endpoint Security is affordable."
"There is a license required to use this solution."
"Compared to other solutions, such as CrowdStrike, we are most certainly happy with its pricing. We did a three year-business deal."
"Licensing fees are paid monthly."
"I am not sure about the cost. I would guess it to be between $50 to $60 per license. This would be the cost of the overall subscription. There is no additional fee."
"The price of the solution is average compared to the market."
"The price of this product should be reduced because it is a little high."
"Customers need to pay for a license for Intercept X Endpoint based on the number of users and servers they have. The pricing is considered normal and not overly expensive."
"The price of Sophos Intercept X is expensive. The license is paid on an annual basis. There are extra features that can be added depending on the endpoints. The solution is priced twice as much as the Comodo solution."
