Pros and Cons
  • "I think once you start using it, it's absolutely vital on a project. It's truly one of the most helpful things for a project."
  • "I used to be a trainer and an instructional designer. I think the training has to be more specific — it's a little scattered."

What needs improvement?

I don't think Process Mining has any areas for improvement. I think once you start using it, it's absolutely vital for a project. It's truly one of the most helpful things for a project.

It should be an original part of the package and not just an add-on. Obviously, that makes it more expensive. But I think that once people see the value and they use it, it's so important for everybody. The BAs are really impressed and the developers really get a kick out of it — they love it. It makes it easier to sell. I believe it's even more valuable than Automation Hub.

I used to be a trainer and an instructional designer. I think the training has to be more specific — it's a little scattered.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using this solution for two months.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We've never experienced any issues with either scalability or stability. My team never had trouble with it.

How are customer service and support?

Customer support is excellent. My CSMs are phenomenal.

Our customers are extremely satisfied with their ROI with this solution.

What other advice do I have?

You really have to know the product and know how it works with the initial studio and who you want to talk to at what level to make sure that you can sell the product.

Overall, on a scale from one to ten, I would give this solution a rating of nine.

The human-in-the-loop features are helpful
Pros and Cons
  • "UiPath's human-in-the-loop features are helpful."
  • "It would be nice if UiPath's Document Understanding feature supported more languages. I don't think it supports Chinese or Japanese. We have been working in the Asia-Pacific region for a long time, and this prevents us from recommending the solution to some customers."

What is most valuable?

UiPath's human-in-the-loop features are helpful.

What needs improvement?

It would be nice if UiPath's Document Understanding feature supported more languages. I don't think it supports Chinese or Japanese. We have been working in the Asia-Pacific region for a long time, and this prevents us from recommending the solution to some customers.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using UiPath Process Mining for three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

In general, UiPath is stable, but the document understanding part is less reliable. Some of our clients using document understanding were not happy with the results.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I think UiPath is scalable. That's what customers are looking for right now.

How was the initial setup?

UiPath is easy to set up on a machine, but it's a bit difficult to install it on a more complex cloud environment. For example, it's complicated to deploy across two AWS instances.

What was our ROI?

It takes a bit longer to see value. A customer will see ROI if they have a sizeable budget and the patience to wait until they get a return.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

UiPath is a bit on the higher side compared to solutions like Automation Anywhere and Blue Prism. However, people tend to go with UiPath because it's more seamlessness.

What other advice do I have?

I rate UiPath Process Mining eight out of 10. New products are coming out like ABBYY OCR that claim they can do these things better, but they can't. The cost per page for UiPath is on the higher side, so that is the reason.

Good support, reasonably priced, and the analysis of operational processes works well
Pros and Cons
  • "The most valuable feature is the analysis of operational processes."
  • "The interface could be more user-friendly so that it is easier for business people to use."

What is our primary use case?

I work with UI Process Mining at my client's company.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature is the analysis of operational processes.

What needs improvement?

The interface could be more user-friendly so that it is easier for business people to use. As it is now, using this product requires a specific understanding and training. If the interface were simpler then it would be easier to use.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with UiPath Process Mining for less than one year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

This is a stable product.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I think that it is scalable.

How are customer service and technical support?

The technical support is very good.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It is not an expensive product, although the price could be lower.

What other advice do I have?

My advice for anybody who is interesting in UiPath Process Mining is to try it as a proof of concept, first, so that they can determine its capabilities.

I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.

Resilient and time-saving solution with good ROI
Pros and Cons
  • "UiPath Process Mining's most valuable feature is its integration with RPA's bots."
  • "The configurations on the ERP platforms could be improved."

What is our primary use case?

I mainly use UiPath Process Mining for our internal financial processes, which need insights into the process workflows. UiPath Process Mining allows us to align our workflow to have a better result rate in terms of the APA processes.

How has it helped my organization?

There were a lot of gaps in our process, and UiPath Process Mining allowed us to find and fill those gaps, so now the process takes less time, and the customer outcome delivery has been improved.

What is most valuable?

UiPath Process Mining's most valuable feature is its integration with RPA's bots.

What needs improvement?

The configurations on the ERP platforms could be improved. In the next release, I would like UiPath Process Mining to include better integration with some of their other offerings, more ERP platforms, and more legacy systems.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using UiPath Process Mining for fourteen to fifteen months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

UiPath Process Mining is pretty stable because it's highly resilient. We've seen little to no downtime in the past four-and-a-half years.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

UiPath Process Mining is scalable - we can get the number of services we need as per our demand.

How are customer service and support?

UiPath's technical support is very good and responsive.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was quite straightforward because we used the SaaS offering, which integrated easily with our internal applications. Deployment took around a month. I would rate the setup experience as four out of five.

What about the implementation team?

We got direct help from the UiPath support team.

What was our ROI?

We haven't yet calculated our ROI, but our projections show we'll be able to reach out to 100-plus users, with savings of approximately more than $1 million over three years.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

UiPath's licensing is based on how many documents we process using this solution.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We evaluated Celonis.

What other advice do I have?

I would advise anyone considering implementing UiPath Process Mining to go for the cloud version instead of the on-prem. On-prem requires a lot in terms of specification and management, and the cost will eventually rise. However, the SaaS model is cost-effective and very easy to maintain and manage because UiPath takes care of infrastructure and so on. I would rate UiPath Process Mining as nine out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

Good technical support and great training materials with an easy initial setup
Pros and Cons
  • "Technical support is quite helpful and responsive."
  • "The training materials sometimes don't keep up with the system changes."

What is our primary use case?

We primarily use the solution for document understanding and to automate the transfer of information between systems. Emails have been coming into a group of data entry clerks, and those data entry clerks, in the past, have been taking that information and pasting it into another system. We've basically automated that process. Now, the system reads the email, extracts the information, and then posts it to another system for us.

We are also taking a PDF with multiple documents, splitting it up into separate documents, and then posting that to another system.

What is most valuable?

The initial setup is pretty straightforward.

Technical support is quite helpful and responsive.

The product, in general, is great with a good set of features.

The company offers very good training materials.

What needs improvement?

Getting a salesperson to actually call me back when I have a pricing question is extremely difficult. They need to work harder at getting back to their clients when they have queries.

I don't have any special requests in terms of new features I would like to see in upcoming releases. Right now, it does everything we need it to do.

The training materials sometimes don't keep up with the system changes.

For how long have I used the solution?

We've used the solution over the past 12 months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The stability of the product is good.

However, the stability of the training materials, due to the speed that they're changing the software, isn't the best. It's very hard for the training materials and supporting documentation to keep up with the changes to the solution. What happens is, when I go in to implement a process, the process intuitively looks fairly easy to understand. However, when I begin to do it, the screens aren't reflected in the training materials or in the documentation. There's a gap. It's not that they don't have good materials, it's just that they're struggling to keep the documentation and the training materials or examples up to speed with the release.

How are customer service and technical support?

I've dealt with support in the past for multiple reasons. I would say that their technical support's been good, however, their sales support has been very hard to get a hold of. We can't seem to get our calls returned when it comes to pricing queries.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We're also using Automation Anywhere. We use both solutions currently.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is not complex at all. I would describe it as pretty straightforward.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

UiPath doesn't clearly define the pricing models, which makes it very hard for customers. They have a wonderful product. If I could just find out how much it costs so I could buy it, it might be a lot nicer.

Currently, I have approximately five opportunities to implement this solution and I can't even tell people for sure how much it's going to cost to run it.

What other advice do I have?

We're consultants. We're not part of the partner program, which is probably what's causing the lack of sales support. Although, I have tried to get into the sales program. Even that is difficult. Their sales staff is so overwhelmed with opportunities that they're just not responsive.

We're doing process mining, however, it also has the document understanding and all those other things that we need as well.

We use both on-premises and cloud deployment models.

In general, I would rate the solution at a nine out of ten. Even though they're moving so fast that they can't keep up with the documentation, that's sort of a good thing. They're making a lot of progress very quickly.

You can identify individual tasks that are potentially consuming time within each process
Pros and Cons
  • "With Salesforce, you can identify individual tasks that are potentially consuming time within each process. You can see what process you want to automate and which task within a process will give you the most bang for your buck."
  • "Setting up UiPath is relatively complex. It potentially involves multiple business units. First, you need to set up the connectors. If you want to analyze enterprise performance, you will have to do enterprise connectors, which means you must deal with different system owners, security, and things like that. That can get complicated."

What is our primary use case?

We use it to identify and map out processes in our system then identify areas that would be good candidates for automation. You can use it to analyze your entire enterprise, including ERP, CRM, etc. It's not limited to a single workstation.

What is most valuable?

With Salesforce, you can identify individual tasks that are potentially consuming time within each process. You can see what process you want to automate and which task within a process will give you the most bang for your buck.

You can compare performance over time and see if your changes push a bottleneck downstream or what kind of results you're getting with it. Otherwise, you can use it to measure the performance increases you can introduce.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using UiPath for about a year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

UiPath's stability is excellent.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

UiPath is scalable, and it can work offline. You can build the collection separate from the process mining instance and then feed it as a series of files, log files, etc. In addition, you can limit its impact to a specific sandbox, so it can work in a secure environment that way.

UiPath can be used as a standalone tool, or with the UiPath automation hub, it can produce documentation and even scale out by integrating with other solutions.

How was the initial setup?

Setting up UiPath is relatively complex. It potentially involves multiple business units. First, you need to set up the connectors. If you want to analyze enterprise performance, you will have to do enterprise connectors, which means you must deal with different system owners, security, and things like that. That can get complicated.

After installation, one person could certainly maintain it, but it would depend on how many different things you're monitoring,

What was our ROI?

If you're in a situation where UiPath will be helpful to you, then you're going to get an amazing return.

What other advice do I have?

I rate UiPath 10 out of 10. It's as good or better than anything else out there I'm aware of. If you plan to implement it, I advise you to work with an experienced partner. It takes a specialized skillset with a combination of business and technical know-how to set UiPath up and to get the most out of it, you want to work with someone who knows.

User-friendly interface, good training available, and bots can be controlled from online
Pros and Cons
  • "The most valuable feature is that activities are available to us just by clicking the box, so it doesn't require much time to make changes for future requirements."
  • "I would like to see better integration with the Azure and AWS machine learning platforms."

What is our primary use case?

The primary use for this solution is for automating business processes.

These include data entry tasks that were being done by the bots. There was manual work for applications like Salesforce that was being done using integration activities provided by UiPath. One of our use cases involved doing sentiment analysis on tweets for a couple of brands.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature is that activities are available to us just by clicking the box, so it doesn't require much time to make changes for future requirements.

The interface is very user-friendly.

The online platform for controlling the bots is very helpful.

What needs improvement?

We do not have much confidence in the intelligence or cognitive capabilities and they should be improved. Automation Anywhere is really good in that area, so I'm looking forward to more advanced features in the future.

I would like to see better integration with the Azure and AWS machine learning platforms.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using ProcessGold for about a year and a half.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

In general, it is a stable solution. In one of our use cases, when the volume of data was quite high, we found that there were some crashes. We divided the load into smaller sets so that the whole thing is completed in two or three stages, which fixed the problem.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I have not found any challenges in terms of scalability, other than an issue where we needed to divide the workload into smaller jobs. I would say that for certain activities that involve a very large number of documents, scalability is not up to mark, but in general, it is okay.

We have between 20 and 30 users and they are quite satisfied.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is pretty straightforward. We started with the Community Edition, which was really helpful.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

On-premises

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Stable, has good scalability, and integrates well with third-party systems, but its pricing is too expensive
Pros and Cons
  • "What I find good in UiPath Process Mining is that it integrates well with SAP."
  • "An area for improvement in UiPath Process Mining is that its pricing is too expensive, particularly when compared to Power Automate."

What is most valuable?

What I find good in UiPath Process Mining is that it integrates well with SAP.

What needs improvement?

An area for improvement in UiPath Process Mining is that its pricing is too expensive, particularly when compared to Power Automate.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been selling UiPath Process Mining for a year or so.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

UiPath Process Mining is a stable product.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

UiPath Process Mining has good scalability.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I found the pricing for UiPath Process Mining expensive when you compare it against the pricing for Power Automate.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I evaluated Power Automate and Automation Anywhere IQ Bot.

What other advice do I have?

I sell solutions such as UiPath Process Mining, Automation Anywhere, and Power Automate to my clients.

My rating for UiPath Process Mining is seven out of ten.
