Microsoft Project Reviews

I have experience with Microsoft Project. Since 2009, I have been using it for our project implementation, tracking, and monitoring. For most of the projects, I create the work program and work implementation plan using Microsoft Project.

The most valuable features are in the successor and predecessor determination and the tracking tools, such as obtaining data on the S curve financial curve. Normally, those are the key areas I focus on for tracking the Project. I insisted our vendor use the Marsha Project since it's highly recommended. It has made my life easier in monitoring and tracking. If I know how to use the tool, it will bring much more benefit to me.

Our company uses the solution to get realistic estimations to properly distribute resources. We have a huge portfolio and use the online premium version. One current project is with a client who has 150 users. 

The solution estimates workflow for concurrent activities, links dependencies, and automatically modifies plans based on date updates. The plan is assessed based on different criteria such as the schedule or budget. 

Built-in dashboards provide an overview of our portfolio, programs, and projects. There is a general work view and an overall progress view that combines all projects. 

The integration between Teams and the solution is fantastic. Previously, the cloud version was not available so we kept standalone files on our PCs. Now, everything is in the cloud so we can ask Teams to update their activities in the plan which automatically reflects on everyone's plan. Team effectively cooperates with the plan without every user needing licenses for the solution. 

The built-in dashboards are powerful because they show both project and overall progress. 

I primarily use Microsoft Project for IT infrastructure projects, focusing on the planning and execution of complex projects with many cross-dependencies.

The most valuable features of Microsoft Project include dependency mapping, completion ratios, and the ability to apply specific constraints or constraint types. This tool is the most accurate project management tool, allowing me to run a full set of project activities without having to switch between different tools for scheduling and other tasks.

Our company uses the solution for a project at our on-premises data center. We have one data room database and one mobile active account. 

We have 100 users in our head office who use Microsoft in our database and desktop application. A total of 5,000 employees use their mobile phones while working in the field. 

We will soon launch another project in the cloud. 

The solution is well established and runs very accurately. 

The solution is very user friendly so end users are satisfied. 

We're using Microsoft Project on multiple tiers to perform inventory optimization, production planning, and purchasing.st built the project a week ago using Microsoft Project from start to finish. We built in all the functionality we have to cover. All the updates, action items, etc., are in there.

In my previous position with a leading 3PL, the provider of our warehouse management system, Blue Yonder, used Project. Nevertheless, it was seamless to integrate a Project file because Smartsheet offers the ability to upload MPP files. But at the same time, we would make changes and adjustments with Project. I'm currently using Microsoft Project for all my projects. 

Microsoft Project's integrated timeline is tied to the project plan almost seamlessly, and you add whatever action item or milestone you choose. All you have to do is set up a column and click on the timeline. It will automatically put it in there and allow you to choose the type, whether it's a bar or if it's a milestone, just pointing out that single milestone.

We use Microsoft Project to track our delivery projects and our internal projects.

Microsoft Project helps us allocate resources and track the time spent on projects.

We are doing e-commerce implementations and we organize the projects and Gantt charts for this task.

It's great for project planning and monitoring.

It's very easy to use. It's plug-and-play. 

The solution is stable.

It can scale well.

The UI is great. If you work with Microsoft, it's very easy to work with this.

I use the product for Excel and other processes. 

We value all the features. Previously, we used Jenkins for similar purposes, but Microsoft Projects works fine. We're looking to improve integration with different clusters on production and automate various aspects of software development. This includes integration for alerting, monitoring, and pricing purposes, among other things.
