We performed a comparison between BambooHR and SAP HCM based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Cloud HCM solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."Leave management is the most valuable as they all started with leave management and then progressed to performance management. Of course, employee profiles are central to everything. It is also very easy to use. Customers get on board with it very quickly. One of the selling points for BambooHR is that they have a very wide partner network. There are lots of other partners that have integrations with BambooHR. They have an open API. This is one of the things that is driving its growth because lots of people and companies are literally just building integrations of BambooHR to ride the wave. If you have an integration with BambooHR, you get sales. People are more likely to choose your product because they've already chosen BambooHR. That's how it is happening. It is a cloud deployment, so there is only one version. They do the updates every month, and because of this, you are encouraged to send them feedback all the time. You never know. Your feature may be included in the next release."
"The performance goals and personal features of every employee with the dashboard is most valuable."
"The HR metrics that this solution provides has been most useful. We also really like the fact that employees have the ability to be self sufficient and manage their own information."
"This is a scalable solution. We have not experienced any issues."
"I like the fact that the annual days are calculated automatically and that if annual leave is taken in the future, those days are put on hold. You know at every point how many days of annual leave are you left with and how many are on hold."
"The scalability of BambooHR is good."
"BambooHR is accessible to users who aren't good with technology. If you don't have an IT background, you can easily find information about any employee."
"I can easily go to BambooHR to search for any staff member in the company."
"The tool's most valuable features for our HR operations include easy reporting capabilities, which allow us to generate reports for management meetings and auditing purposes. Additionally, it supports appointment preparation and processing benefits."
"It has the best data management features."
"They have some interesting features in the learning space."
"I like the talent, recruitment, and learning features the most."
"It simplifies everything for human capital management, and all users can do self-enrollment for leaves and those kinds of things. The employee self-service feature is quite a powerful feature for me. You can install it on your mobile phone or iPad and do your employee service activity there."
"The setup was straightforward."
"The most valuable feature is the Personnel Administration."
"I think HCM was the most stable for me...It is a very scalable product."
"In the BambooHR performance management annual evaluations we have some limits to the questions. We can only add four extra questions, and they already have three basic questions, this is not easy for us. We would like to have more flexibility with the questions."
"BambooHR needs to have more flexibility around performance management."
"The UI needs improvement because it needs to be more user-friendly."
"We cannot add more questions to the assessments if we want to."
"The color palettes could be changed to make the solution a little more attractive and easier to use."
"BambooHR could be improved by managing leave in a way that transfers remaining days at the end of the annual year to the following year."
"It would be useful to have the possibility to assign a task to the different users within the software."
"If you are dealing with two or more businesses under one company name, it is not possible to transfer employees between companies if they have a separate bamboo set up."
"Managing changes in applications can be challenging since it complicates testing and unit testing, resulting in longer testing phases. This time-consuming process often leaves little room for actual work."
"SAP HCM's long and tedious transactions can be improved."
"The organizational structure visualization could be improved in future releases. The solution has a very poor interface."
"I would like it to move more towards a single data space, a single data source. SAP as a platform relies on multiple data sources because traditionally, it's been bolted together by the acquisition of other products rather than a single database. That's why there are lots of points of failure and lots of required points of integration. They need a single integration point."
"The solution is rather expensive."
"Reports need to be added on the time management side."
"The product's license is very expensive."
"The talent modules are lacking in HCM, so I would recommend switching to SuccessFactors for talent management, but HCM excels at time management and payroll."
