Pre-built adapters simplify CI/CD processes but monitoring improvements are needed
If Bamboo can provide a dashboard with tool health, such as whether the master or instance has the required space, it would be beneficial. Sometimes, when I trigger a build, it ends with no space on the agent machine where the agents are installed. If Bamboo can create an internal monitoring mechanism and display the tool's health status on the landing page or homepage, it would help end users and DevOps Engineers like me.

Centralized global HR data has improved expense control and supports secure employee management
The features of SAP HCM are valued by me as it had a clear idea about what was expected from the user point. The person or the application has a lot of features and it had actually all the information needed from our part. That aspect is nice. Apart from that, the T-codes are really helpful to understand which particular option we need when we put the T-code in the search box. The stability and reliability of SAP HCM product are really nice, very helpful, and secured. It has no point of leakage and is mostly reliable, as most companies and organizations prefer SAP over many tools. As for security, it's already secured from the beginning itself, and that is the only reason our organization relies on it. Since it's very useful at a global scale, it is a very useful tool and is very easy to access and handle.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I like that it keeps everything easily accessible, from signed documents to outlines of our benefits plans, etc. It is really a one-stop shop."
"Honestly, all of the features are valuable to me."
"It is fantastic, customers love it."
"The HR metrics that this solution provides has been most useful. We also really like the fact that employees have the ability to be self sufficient and manage their own information."
"It provides one place to document all employee information; no Excel tables are needed anymore."
"Bamboo has a vast number of pre-built adapters which can be used as plug and play components."
"BambooHR is accessible to users who aren't good with technology. If you don't have an IT background, you can easily find information about any employee."
"Customer support has been one of the stand-out aspects of using BambooHR, with answers always within the same day and as helpful and friendly as possible."
"SAP Payroll module is one of the best in the market and is integrated with benefits, time, etc."
"The solution is stable, and recently the localization versions for different countries were increased, adding value to the solution."
"It's very suitable for large, multi-geography companies but also very suitable for medium companies with multi-geography operations."
"The stability and reliability of SAP HCM product are really nice, very helpful, and secured."
"The tool's best feature is SAP SuccessFactors."
"We have managed to consolidate our payroll for all India operations on this platform."
"SAP HCM can handle a large number of employees, we can easily process payrolls and check the arrangements, and the client can also check the performance of the employees."
"SAP HCM is a competitive and comprehensive tool that covers major programs in the enterprise and supports the global process."

Cons

"Yes, there have been scalability issues. If anything, this is what we are facing now."
"Days off to be redeemed do not appear when a user cancels the days when people are off."
"The system allows to book vacation and sick day at the same time. There should be a warning in case somebody overlooks it."
"It would be good to include more options for approvals and workflows. They are deliberately not the most sophisticated version of anything that they do, but it is like 80/20. They hit the vast majority of all the needs, but I have started to run up against the limits of their functionality. It has forced me to start paying attention to the marketplace or sending feedback to BambooHR. Clients are still happy though. Timesheets is a new area in which they're slowly expanding. It is currently very limited, but it meets the needs of standard nine-to-five salary employees who just want to be able to key in their time, have it approved, and then pushed off to payroll. It does not have any of the bells and whistles that an hourly employee or hourly worker might need. That is one area that is currently limited, but they have integrations with some of the best companies that do that."
"They are deliberately not the most sophisticated version of anything that they do, but it is like 80/20."
"We recommend to have your own payroll integration as per GCC norms."
"As an international company, there are several administrators in different countries making changes to the system and there is no way of knowing who has made a change, which can be frustrating."
"We had stability issues once or twice. The most significant issue was when there was an outage for a few hours and there was no out-of-hours support available."
"SAP HCM's long and tedious transactions can be improved."
"Talent management: SAP has acquired SuccessFactors and does not invest in the SAP HCM Talent Management module any more."
"It's intuitive, but not as intuitive or user-friendly as it should be. It's 2017, and I should be able to click once and just breeze through it."
"System usability is a challenge. It needs a lot of end user training as it is not intuitive at all."
"Its reporting feature could have customization options."
"The setup comes with a set of challenges as well."
"I would say the speed of SAP HCM tool might need some optimization."
"In my experience, SAP HCM and similar products are very good, but the focus now should be on providing features to encourage employee adoption. For example, accessing pay slips is a task that naturally drives adoption. However, AI tools that can prompt employees at the right time through the right application are needed for actions such as conducting surveys or gathering performance feedback."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We pay a monthly subscription to use the solution. The subscript model is based on how many employees we have active."
"It was definitely cheaper than some of the larger systems."
"I rate the tool's pricing an eight out of ten."
"Price-wise, the solution is in the middle compared to other tools offering similar functionalities."
"Be careful and guard against future changes in licensing."
"The terms on which you buy licenses might change due to the way they license in a particular product."
"The pricing is not reasonable at all."
"For implementation, SAP offers little support unless you buy SAP Safeguarding from SAP Consulting."
"The product is expensive."
"We have an annual license for this solution, and the price depends on the number of users."
"SAP is expensive, but if you're using the product, then the expensive product becomes inexpensive. Considering its performance and features, I find it quite reasonable."
"In my view, this product is a waste of money for SMB because there are much better products available and licensing is an issue."
