Allows you to upload and download files quickly but lacks integration with Office 365
For enterprise users, the data is in a local repository. We use it for files for the end user process. This is a cloud solution. In my current organization, we have over 10,000 people using this solution. I use it very extensively. Users these days are working remotely You can upload your bin,…

Offers the most simplest and easiest UI to use
I would not like many changes in the tool, but I think the 15 GB space provided by Google Drive Enterprise needs to be increased to around 25 five GB, as it would be really helpful for users. These days, the resolution of pictures and everything else has been increased. If you take a picture from an iPhone, it could easily be of around seven to eight GB. Photos are memories that one would want to keep or store properly. I believe that it is not possible to save a lot of photos in Google Drive Enterprise since it only provides 15 GB to users. The product does not offer a bit more storage space for users, which makes it an area that needs to be considered for improvement.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I like the ease of use."
"The most valuable feature of Box is security."
"Sharing and collaborating across files and folders has been a massive game changer."
"File sharing with collaborators not on the same domain with offline access from multiple devices: I work on many projects that are multi-organizational, such as with customers, suppliers, or acquisitions."
"The application is very light in terms of uploading and downloading files."
"The interface is very good."
"Governance and ease of use are why I think a lot of people like Box, including ourselves. Basically, we're concerned about what information is being sent to Box, so we use a lot of the Box governance features to make sure that what is being sent to Box is appropriate. If it is not appropriate, it is not allowed to be sent. It is also pretty easy to use. It is the easiest to use for customers and for technologists."
"Office Integration. The full integration into the Microsoft Office products is just perfect."
"I like that it's easy to use. I'm satisfied with the speed, stability, and availability."
"Provides a secure backup to my data."
"Offers good storage."
"The possibility of working together in real-time on the same document is the most useful feature for me."
"The solution is very user-friendly."
"The solution secures the data well."
"One of the most strong features is the ability to collaborate by sharing files with others, allowing concurrent work. The most valuable features of our team's collaboration include concurrent editing and quickly creating reports. This allows for simultaneous editing, moderation, and finalization of our reports."
"Low maintenance solution."

Cons

"With OneDrive, you can continuously save your files over a Box folder. That is something I wish we could have."
"I don't like the low level of role-based security it provides – it's very cumbersome, and the support is ordinary at times."
"I would love to see the ability to invite collaborators extended to a file level, not just the folder level."
"Maturity of the enterprise security around user management."
"I recommend doing the trial first, because it's not cheap ware. It's not overly expensive, but it's not cheap ware, and enterprise has a minimum number of users."
"The integration with other products should be improved."
"Tasks and comments could be easier to see, report, search, and manage."
"The solution's data security should be improved."
"The storage space customization is limited, starting with 2GB and jumping significantly higher without intermediate options. Learning to use the admin console can be complex and overwhelming for some users. Additionally, the subscription payment method could be simpler, as updating payment details can be challenging if a credit card expires. For simple users, Gmail is fine, but business users often require more control."
"Security-wise, Google Drive Enterprise needs improvement. Compared to its competitor: Kiteworks, Google Drive Enterprise is less secure."
"I believe that the product's stability has certain areas of concern."
"It should have more features similar to Office 365. To improvise more, they should compare their features with Office 365."
"Google Drive Enterprise can improve by having better compatibility with Microsoft files. Google Drive Enterprise sometimes blocks Japanese characters in documents."
"If somebody has made changes, for example, there should be a timestamp. Also, if two or three people are working and someone deletes something, a mechanism to retrieve the previous version should be available."
"The ability to share documents with outside clients can be improved. It is difficult to share documents with outside clients, and that's why I am looking at some other solution. If you use Google Drive, they want you to use all of their Google Suite, but not everybody uses Google Suite for document creation. It is not a great solution if you are working with a company that doesn't use Google Suite."
"If they would implement something for people who have been working on Google Drive for so many years, to have an upgraded version or to be upgraded to that capacity or storage, that would be fantastic."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"A business account has a minimum of three users. If you are more than three people in-house, go for the Enterprise version. All the external users are free of charge."
"I believe Box is cheaper than SharePoint."
"Box needs to improve with their pricing in terms of licensing costs."
"There's a free version that allows you to use it with almost full-feature access. Even in the free version, it gives you all you need."
"It is expensive per head, as you need the enterprise license to get full security and tools. So negotiate a discount!"
"I'm in Higher Ed, so we purchase through Internet2-Net+. I absolutely recommend going that route for Higher Ed customers."
"Box's pricing is excellent."
"The pricing may seem steep at first, but delve into the features and you'll soon realize it is incredible value for what you get."
"If you need extra storage for the product, then you need to make certain payments towards the product's licensing charges."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a nine out of ten."
"The tool is a bit expensive."
"You need to pay an extra cost to use more space."
"I have evaluated Amazon AWS and IBM solutions. Amazon AWS has competitive prices for cloud storage and backups."
"The product is free."
"The licensing is yearly. We pay for the high-tier subscription."
"Google Drive's price is lower than competitors. I have two accounts, including one with Apple that I use to manage some pictures and contact. I use Apple Cloud for only this purpose. I use Google Drive for everything else. Compared to Google, the price of Dropbox is high and the solution isn't good."
