Simple to set up, reasonable pricing, and useful remote control capabilities
I'm on the latest version of the solution. I just updated it yesterday. While we have the solution on-premises at this time, we'll likely move to the cloud later this year. They have a trial version that you can try. They have a free version that you can try as well. I use it myself to support my family. I would try the free version or the trial version depending on your business. They can set you up and you can get to see all the features. I would also advocate going to the cloud version. Don't bother with the on-prem. It's just easier to jump to the cloud. I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.

Used to conduct online third-party client meetings or third-party vendor meetings
The solution's video conferencing quality is good, and I rate it a nine out of ten. The solution's security features are end-to-end encrypted, and I rate them ten out of ten. The version we're using requires no technical team for deployment and maintenance. The solution has an enterprise version, but we're not currently using it. I would recommend the solution to other users because it has good video conference quality. I mostly leverage the solution for third-party client meetings or third-party vendor meetings. Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is super easy to use and relatively inexpensive."
"it gives me the ability to remotely connect to machines that I manage without user intervention."
"The flexibility to manage bandwidth and organize connections, and the price, make ConnectWise a really good choice."
"It's very easy to use, very easy to understand. It gives us remote access to the PC without any issues."
"Control lets us do remote management of machines without having to be on the VPN. It's super simple and super easy."
"You can bring up a command prompt remotely and execute commands without having to disturb the user."
"Better than TeamViewer and useful for fixing problems remotely."
"Unattended access is the most important feature."
"Once it's running, it's okay."
"It is very powerful and stable."
"The most valuable features are video conferencing, the integration with Outlook, and scheduling meetings."
"Webex's clarity is good for video and audio. I have found it better than Zoom. We can receive notifications of meetings which is helpful."
"The GUI is nice and easy to operate."
"I like Webex because it is easy to work with."
"One of the most valuable features of WebEx is that it's very quick for ad hoc meetings, and I use it all day, every day, for internal chat with my team. It's just a good platform."
"We can easily connect the device and create a room and then we can call many devices."

Cons

"The recent redesign has made it slower and basically worthless."
"They could provide a toolbox for the plan I'm on."
"On a Linux machine, there are different limitations that are not there on a Windows Server. Much more limitations exist on Linux deployments."
"We have had issues. We have had circumstances, for reasons we don't know, where the service will stop running, and when the service stops running that computer no longer becomes reachable. We haven't really seen that so much on desktops, but we have seen that happen quite frequently on server operating systems, Server 2008, Server 2012. You can install the product and then a week down the road it will just stop."
"Mobile interface."
"Speed is a major factor in Automate, and the control panel is horribly slow."
"Support for PAC files on the guest's side and support for proxy on the host's side. Currently, there is no support for guest-side PAC files or for the host-side proxy (which uses authentication)."
"There needs to be a way to run the agent without installing, like GoToAssist."
"I'd like to see a modernized user interface, something a bit more colorful."
"The only thing it maybe needs is a chat."
"My biggest issue with the solution involves its price, which I find to be prohibitive for small governments and modest-sized schools."
"Price is a little high."
"There are too many issues with getting people connected to meetings."
"I have had issues with the frequent updates from Webex."
"The connectivity can be improved because sometimes when we talk to clients that are overseas the connection is kind of poor. The video will be pixelated and we will need to turn off the video because the voice gets delayed."
"This solution would be much better if we could install an endpoint and have centralized management."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"ConnectWise Control is not an overly expensive tool. Its pricing is reasonable."
"We pay $85 per month for each user for a ConnectWise package with multiple solutions."
"I think the product's pricing is a good value. I paid $600 a year and that was fine for me. It was about $50 a month. Licensing is all very straightforward."
"I download the product for free with ConnectWise RMM's license."
"Pricing is fair for Control and the licensing is simple."
"We pay $3,000 USD for the service, yearly upfront."
"It is priced fairly."
"Make sure you have enough licensing for all the techs that you have."
"I rate the product price a five on a scale of one to ten, where one is high price, and ten is low price."
"The price should be improved significantly."
"My organization took care of the licensing. I'm guessing they did some subscription cycle, but I used the free version."
"I use the free version, not the enterprise version. The only compelling reason to go for paid WebEx pay is if you're hosting large meetings."
"Price is the one area where Webex needs to improve relative to its competitors. It's difficult to sell to small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) because of the license price."
"Features matter more than the price for us. As long as we get all the features we want and it fits our budget, then the price doesn't matter. I can't speak for other companies. We have tried other applications, and we run into some problems that we don't see in Webex."
"Webex is a cheaply priced tool."
"The price of the license for the solution could be less expensive."
